Matching blue and white PJs with rockets OR orange/white stripped top with tigers, and rockets on the bottoms?? No shoes, apparently No coat. I'm inside my house, and it was cool this morning!

As for the wandering, unfortunately we've seen that before. Some kids are not watched closely and basically on their own. It's a rural area, likely neighbors know each other. Each may be looking after the kids, though not officially. I remember kids like that when I was growing up. The adults talked about the lack of parenting, but didn't report it, instead offered the kids socks, food, something to drink and tried to keep an eye on them.

This child was with his sister at the time? What does she say?

Did i read that correctly? The child was with his sister? if she is 6, why wasn't she in school?
Do they know for sure that the mother was at work?

Is there any kind of address that we can google to get mapquest to show where the roads leads? Any other out buildings that he can be in?

It has been reported this little guy showed up alone at neighbors daily for cookies and candy. I wonder who in the vicinity may be aware of this????

I'm leaning toward abduction. This little guy followed the same routine every day and someone may have had their eyes on him.

I believe he may be a Native American. I went down a deep rabbit hole on Facebook last night and the Mom’s family has a lot of Native Pride posts on their pages. Not sure which tribe.

Lumberton isn;t that far from Laurinburg and the Lumbee Indians are a large part of that area.

“He [her father] was in the kitchen cooking and my daughter was in the bedroom, she was in the room playing with him and said he went missing and went outside looking for him but he couldn’t find him,” said Johnson.
Johnson said she left work as soon as her father told her Raul was missing.
“I told him to call 911,” she said with tears in her eyes. “I thought maybe he was just hiding because he likes to hide, but he never stays gone this long he always comes back. If I holler for him he comes back and this time he didn’t come back"
“I just don’t know if somebody took him or if he’s lost in the woods or if something happened to him in the water,” the child’s mother said. “I don’t know, I just want him home.”

bbm - So Raul and his sister were playing in the bedroom while grandpa was in the kitchen. Raul ran outside, possibly remembering to get his cookies at the neighbour's house? Or, maybe he was upset about something that happened during play with his sister, which is why he reportedly didn't say anything when arriving at the neighbour's house. She said he was silent and that was unusual for him. This might also explain why he had no shoes on, he simply forgot to put them on when running off angry? If he was upset about something he might not have wanted to go back home immediately but rather kept walking until he ended up in the woods and maybe lost his way? I wonder whether he was familiar with those woods and the barn. He must have had very cold feet by then. I hope they searched that barn really thoroughly! Maybe he hid somewhere in it because he was so cold.

Looking a the street view, i see lots of modular homes. Could any of them be empty or the underpinning be loose that he could be in? He could be too scared to come out and announce himself

Was able to pull up a google map with this address. Looks like a above ground pool behind a house.

We are not sure why sister was not in school that day. Articles state Grandpa called Mom at work. I'm sure LE has verified this. IMO

maybe he did not talk to Cookie Lady because someone told him not to say anything to anyone (about X, Y or Z)... and kids can take things literally... Just musing, trying to come up with anything while we wait...

I think it would be amazing if he is found safe. hearts crossed for that.

ETA: or he may have been recently instructed not to talk to Cookie Lady??? ugh, who knows why, but that detail is sticking with me... an odd thing to report and an oddity for it to have happened in the first place.

Maybe his sister was home from school sick? Lot of bugs going around. She may have been well enough to play a game etc.
