The Asheville Police Department is requesting assistance to locate missing person, Savannah Lynne West. West was last seen on October 25, 2018 in the area of Mission Hospital.

West is described as a white female, 22 years of age, 5'5" and approximately 110 pounds. She has blonde hair and hazel eyes. She has several tattoos on her arms, shoulders, back and legs.

SWANNANOA, N.C. (WLOS) — The Buncombe County Sheriff's Office says that human remains have been found in the Wilson Cove Road area.

The remains have not yet been identified, but the sheriff's office conducted searches for a missing person in the same area over the summer. A sheriff's office spokesperson, Aaron Sarver, says they believe the remains are of that person, but they are not releasing the name of the missing person until the remains have been identified by the medical examiner.
