The poorly written articles are the ones saying that Shaynia was taken from her "home"...I really do question the way some of these reporters "report" things

News seems to have gone downhill in the past ten years...they can't even write a decent article or do an in depth interview

Anxious to see the final charges for the mother! Cannot believe we have not heard anything more!!

OK play on words...
It was the last place Shaniya resided, and no matter what the owner of the trailer park will say or do that trailer park has been stigmatized as a place with a bad vibe, and while the people are poor there; poor is not a reason a place gets
a bad wrap...not because of their social status.
I do not blame the owner for trying hard to change that reputation. but it has been forever stigmatized as the place AD and her drug infested family lived with Shayniya.

The point I made stays the same. :)

I knew exactly what you meant, was just giving another way to look at where the poor child was dumped by her father, I still think he knew/knows of much more about the living conditions that he was putting her into.

REST IN PEACE SWEET SHANIYA:rose::rose::rose:

I totally agree, not only did he know but so did his sister. :(
I have no idea what kind of people they are :furious:
But If I lived there I would be curious to interview their character by talking with their friends.
I would not be surprised if the word "cold people" came up.

At least he stopped going on TV...I was so sick of seeing him an his sister.
I am not even sure they are talking after all this, they sure did look to be agitated with each other

Not guilty plea planned

Lockhart said he doesn't know either men.
"Never met them," he said.
Lockhart said he doesn't know where his daughter might be. He also doesn't know where Davis is or how to reach her, he said.
"I don't care where she is at," he said.

I think he mispoke here because remember how familar the son seemed with Mario"s name

Anyway I thought we might would want to comment about that little statement of his

Just checking in to see if there is anything new about charges pending for MM or AD. Have not heard much last week. Nancy Grace only talks about Tiger woods any more. :banghead:

PROSTITUTION IN CHOICE HOTELS
Right now, children are falling prey to sex trafficking in American-owned hotels all over the world, and even right here at home. Just last month, 5-year-old Shaniya Davis was sold for sex at a Comfort Inn in North Carolina. The tragedy of Shaniya Davis and the abhorrence of child prostitution are universally acknowledged. Companies like Choice Hotels, the parent company of the Comfort Inn where Shaniya was sold, have the power to help prevent it.

Tell Choice Hotels to Prevent Child Prostitution in Their Hotels

<<<SNIP>>>

Choice Hotels can help prevent child prostitution with one simple action: signing the ECPAT Code of Conduct. More than 900 companies around the world (very few of them from the U.S.) have been willing to take this simple, effective action. Without their commitment to eradicating child sex trafficking, American-owned hotels are signally their indifference to the plight of children.

Shaniya,
I've been busy with all this Christmas stuff lately, and as a result pass by the place you were found several times daily. My plans remain to plant your bulbs on Christmas eve; when you should instead be dreaming of Santa and flying reindeer, and presents under a tree.
I know you are in a better place now, and that you will suffer no more...but I feel the need to apologize to you for our world here on earth who let you down in so many ways.

Please accept those bulbs from each and every adult that DID care about you, even though they didn't know you, here at WS's.

Still thinking of you all the time,
Oriah
p.s.- Shaniya, if you have any say? Please sit on the shoulder of LE as they pass by the crazy people with trowels planting flowers on the side of the road on Christmas Eve and whisper in their ear "Those people are not doing anything illegal. They just love me. "
:)

Shaniya, a little girl and a little boy will be receiving their Christmas wishes from our local Wishing Tree in your name.
These two kids will remember you as a positive, knowing only that you are a kind person. Sharon, who is 6, will get a ballerina dress up set, a new coat, and a remote control puppy.
Tyler, 9, will receive some clothes, the poster he asked for, and new carpet for his bedroom.
All of them were requests made by the kids, except for the coat. This is the only thing I can do in remembrance, being so far away.

So little info coming out on this case. Waiting for justice. Monsters are behind bars thank God. So, I hope it's just a matter of time.

Praying for LE to nail down a STRONG case against those who did this. These 2 should never see the light of day again IMO.

Praying for Shaniya and all who love her.

RIP Baby girl.

Yes at first I thought it was because it is a holiday month and things slow down in the world of justice or so it seems during Holidays and Summer months.
BUT....To the extent that she has not yet been formally charged I AM VERY CONCERNED (I know they are SAYING that the are waiting to see if more charges will be applied
to her) I wish they would charge her and if additional charges show up they add them on. But this is making me suspicious of LE and that they may have messed things up. Just thinking....and I don't like what I am thinking.

  • #477
I don't like what you are thinking either Songline. If you are thinking AD will get away with this. But I do see why you are thinking this way. I want her charges stuck to her like glue. Praying that the state will figure out what they will be and formally charge her SOON. Time is ticking. IMO

IMO there is no way this "mother" did not know what was happening to Shaniya.
IMO She sold her
IMO that is a felony and a murder occured due to the felony.

If she gets away with this, I will scream.

If there is such a think as justice, she will pay. IMO

Have not heard anything new in this case. Have the results of the autopsy been revealed? I mean, more detail than that she was strangled and raped. How much damage to her poor little body did that monster do? What is going on legally in the case? If anybody knows more, I'd sure appreciate it! Thanks.

Hi Susan.

I'm not seeing any new news yet.

Just waiting on these court appearances coming up and hoping for justice.

I have certainly not forgotten what happened to Shaniya and never will. I will be very angry and upset if Antoniette (isn't that the way her name is spelled?) gets out of this without substantial prison time.

I know MAM is the one who actually murdered Shaniya, but Antoniette is the one who had physical custody and control of Shaniya and allowed unspeakable things to happen to her. I think she and MAM are evil monsters. I would like to see Mam pay with his life for what he did to Shaniya, and Antoniette to pay for many, many years of her life in prison. As far as I am concerned, she is an accessory to murder and should be charged as such.

I know the manager of Sleepy Hollow wants to make it seem a very nice place, but it just isn't. It is in the part of town that active military will tell you in a heartbeat that you do not venture into. My granddaughter (USAF - Pope AFB) and her husband (Army - Ft. Bragg - Afganistan at the moment) says you just do not go to that part of town if you are military unless you are 'looking for something'. Barbara can say what she wants to.

Barbara seems intelligent enough to know that lots of people going in and out of a MH there would mean either drug activity or other nefarious activity. Why didn't she check into it further than asking what Antoniette was doing there so much of the time? I have no doubt that a few residents are decent people who reside there because of their circumstances. There is a shortage of decent housing there. My granddaughter and her husband had to be on a waiting list for an apartment in a decent area. They finally found one, and she is still there while her husband is in Afganistan. There are nice housing developements in Fayetteville, but they will not buy a house due to not knowing how long they will be there.

Either the charges will be upgraded (not downgraded) for Antoniette, or they will stay the same, IMO, but the case against her will have to move along at some point. I do wish that the wheels of justice did not move so slowly.

Meantime, Shaniya is in my thoughts daily. I agonized over her until she was found and then grieved for her because she was gone. There is no doubt whatsoever that she is in a much better place now due to what she went through here.

MOO
