How sad to see there's nothing new. I wish this person would just give it up, and stop torturing these families.

Me too sophiebelle. Somethings gotta give.

BTW, I will be away caring for my elderly mother for a week or two and she doesn't have internet. Hopefully, there will be some news by the time I return. See you all soon and y'all keep the candle burning for both Shannon and Elisha and their families.

Maybe you can get to the library to check in. It's like withdrawal!! Good wishes to your mom.

Thanks Sophie. It is like withdrawal. If I don't get to make a trip to the library, I hope you all will fill me in on happenings when I return.

OT

My sister lives with Mother and I travel down from NC to AL (9 hr trip each way, riding shotgun with my son in his fish truck) every month to give her a much needed break and to take care of mother's finances. Sis and I want to have internet installed at her home soon because we can't leave her alone since she has dementia/alzheimers and has fallen and broken each hip since last August and is on a walker(late Aug. rt hip and left hip on New Years Eve.) and has no cognition and cannot be left alone & requires round the clock care. I wouldn't dare take her with me to the library with me because you never know what she will blurt out! (she is still funny and feisty)

First, the police got the identify of a murder victim wrong. Now there's been on media reports for a week. Nothing about Shannon. Nothing about the accused murderer. Nothing about the body that was found. It seems that the Wilmington media sucks eggs.

Well I'm sure LE is taking their time and being sure of the facts this time, which I consider to be a good thing.

I expect them to take their time in making sure they have a positive identity. But why hasn't the media reported anything at all?

Oh, wm -- what a wonderful and generous daughter and sister you are! Yes, I know that family is family, but that is a long, long and maybe lonely trip, but you do it. Both ways and every month! Stars in your crown, mark my words. And stars in your sister's and son's crowns as well.

If we are fortunate enuff to have a beloved parent for many years, it becomes a concern since they become by some varying degrees like we were when we wore diapers and could only cry or smile to let others know what we felt. It's our turn. I know.

Bless you all.

Pardon the O/T, but I had to say it because it is a Big Deal and such an act of love and selflessness what you three do!

Thanks for the link, lonetraveler. Just as many of us thought.

Not surprising, but maddening, just maddening. Dammit.

I hope LE has or will have some good, solid evidence for whoever committed this unforgivable crime against the pretty 34 year old daughter, friend, sister (perhaps) and citizen. Enuff, please, enuff.

On WECT Elisha Tucker's mother did not wish to make a comment. She couldn't.

I'm told the late news will give an update.

Still nothing new?

What a roller coaster ride for Shannon's family. If this man is a killer, he needs to go ahead and 'fess up. He probably won't get out of jail again, so he may as well help this family out. I wish they would put death penalty papers in front of him and offer him a deal.

This newspaper article has some interesting information, like the fact that J.O.B.'s daughter lives in Wilmington, just blocks from where Elisha lived...this must be the child he had who was just an infant when he murdered his stepdaughter in 1988?? Also the search for Shannon has been expanded outside of the county where Elisha was found and where he was working. Remember Shannon went missing on Saturday night/Sunday, and J.O.B. didn't go to work on Monday because he had "personal business" to take care of. They may believe he went further afield...unfortunately, there's a lot of water around these parts, including the Atlantic Ocean.

I just got a call: there is talk that JOB could be released!
Is that just sensationalism because the possibility exists that he could get bonded out?
I'm going to see what's in MSM.

Crazy that his daughter is in that part of Wilmington. I've tried to find the mother of the murdered child but there is almost no old media to find.

"Bradley did spend roughly the final year and a half of his sentence at the New Hanover County Correction Center, where he participated in a work-release program, Acree wrote. The N.C. Department of Public Safety does not release the names of its work-release employers."
