Her family told WRAL News she started struggling with her mental health after catching COVID-19 earlier this year.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The family of 46-year-old Sterlena Bland said she has been missing since last month.

Bland, a Raleigh resident and a mother, was last seen near her home on Ranch Mill Circle just off Poole Road.

The trouble started in February. That's when Bland, and her Sister, Courtney Fowler, caught COVID-19.

"We all suffered with a little bit of a cloudy mind, our brain was just a little off," said Fowler.

But while Fowler was able to push through, Bland got worse.
Over the last few months, she stopped answering calls and texts.
Finally, sometime after September 23rd, she just disappeared.
Her car, a burgundy Ford, gone too.

Where she's gone, or why, a mystery to her family.
"She loves her son to pieces. Why would she leave?" said Fowler. "I want her to get the help that she needs, and I want her to know that she's safe, and she's loved."
Raleigh police said they're investigating this case, and are following all potential leads.

They, and Fowler, are asking the community to come forward.
"Just let somebody know that you see her, her car, or herself," said Fowler.

And asking Bland, wherever she is, to come home.
"Just know we want to support you in any way we can. Jayden misses you, he asks about you all the time. He calls you. He wants to hear your voice. He just wants to be with his mom," said Fowler.

Fowler said the family will be out in her sister's neighborhood tomorrow, passing out flyers.

The nature of the disappearance currently remains unknown.
They're asking anyone who may have seen Bland, or who knows where she is, to come forward.

This is so sad to hear. I hope that she is found safe.

The tolls that people go through after getting COVID are so different depending on the person and it stinks that things are still affecting people.

Oh my gosh, did she leave her son home alone or did they live with someone?
Who was the last person to see her?

There is a 23 year old woman from Chatsworth, CA, Hadyne Wilson, who is missing and is suffering from COVID related psychosis. I wonder if Sterlena has something similar. There is more about the condition in Hadyne's thread.

Of course, it could be unrelated to her COVID fog/mental struggle. I hope LE is taking it seriously and looks at all the people she has relationships with.

Not responding to texts or calls suddenly is a huge cause for concern. What did her doctor say about the long Covid symptoms?
