The article linked below is from 2010, but it has some info on the grandparents. The friends interviewed said they were good folks & have been in the area for ~ 20 years. FWIW.

Johnston County is crawling with Creeches. Just about any type job you need done, you can find somebody named Creech to get an estimate from. Roofing, building, electrical, plumbing, etc. The article said the *barn* was one of numerous outbuildings on the property. That building with the yellow arrow fits the description of silver roof, but it's not square? All the descriptions I've seen vary from 15X16 to 20X20, none of those rectangular in shape. We have a lean to along one side of my husbands workshop, to pull the riding mower and generator under. The roofline on ours is different from the roofline of the shed though, it's a true 'lean to' roof. A top view of our property would show the shed roof, and the lean to roof, not being one long shape, I'm thinking.

Who told Richardson 'you can't leave a 4 yr old alone all day in a shed while you go to work?'

this is one of the most terrible cases I have ever seen. :-( I hate that the defense is playing his "bipolar" card. He is an animal. When I saw those blood stained boxers I wanted to do what the (other) nurse did and go for his throat. She was such a beautiful little girl.. So where is the mom does anyone know? I know she was arrested... and yes if she was in the military at the time she could possibly be at leavenworth but usually only sentences over 5 years actually stay there iirc (we still have contacts there and were stationed there for four plus years). I would think we would see something about a court martial for her.. that is the way it rolls usually. She deviated from her family care plan and that is a HUGE :nono: That being said, if she had just recently signed up there may be a lag... There are NO deployments without a family care plan. Also: if she just signed up how in the hello did she get in there as a lone parent? I do see there is possibly an ex in the hooscow??? but he would have to sign off on the family care plan at the least. (Mister Nurse did Recruiting command for four years) No way she could sign a contract without a family care plan etc. (and I can say I have seen many a single parent turned away during recruiting because they had no care plan and were not willing to transfer official documents for custody during the training period.. so this is for sure something to watch for in this trial imhoo...)

You are quite right, he didn't just back a dog fighting ring, he tortured those dogs. The horrors he perpetuated against those poor dogs were quite inventive. He is a MONSTER! As the proud mama of a rescued pitbull (see the paws in my avi) we both THANK YOU!

And thank you for your heightened awareness of child abuse as well. I don't think that baztard Richardson needed the excuse of bedwetting to torture that baby, he enjoyed it.

With all the evidence against this guy I'm actually surprised he wanted to go to trial and not just plead guilty. The evidence is sickening and overwhelming. He actually recorded his torture of Teghan? Dude is a sick .

And thank you for rescuing a pitbull. In fact that's one of the reasons I've been away so long from WS. I lost my constant companion last year, it was a year long battle but we had to let her go. She was a GSD/Rottie rescue. It took me a number of months to recover some, and now I have two new rescues, one a special needs GSD who allowed no one to touch her, cowered, trembled, literally shook throughout her entire body at the sight of humans. She's slowly coming along, has mostly attached to me, but others it takes time. Also got a scrappy little Australian Cattle Dog who'd been at the pound for a year, heart worm positive. Wasn't planning on rescuing 2 at once, but couldn't leave her behind. She wagged her tail at me. :loveyou: She too is 'coming along nicely.'

Was a plea deal offered to JR? Anyone know? I will say, having moved out here from Raleigh, country folk do tend to stick together. :fence:

Terrible, terrible case that MSM chooses to pass over.

Even WRAL's coverage is cursory, at best.

So far, I can't find anything for today.

I sent a message to WRAL asking for live coverage. They responded to me that 'they had limited resources with which to cover 'interesting events', and would keep up with the days events in their news casts. It was a bit more wordy than that, but the basic concept was comparing this trial with other 'interesting community events'. I had explained how important it was for something like 'child abuse' to be covered so that perhaps others might look harder, call and report anything they see that troubles them, etc. So when I received that *community events* message back I replied back to WRAL....... Something along the lines of "I'd hardly refer to the murder of a child as a *community event*' and 'yet you covered the Brad Cooper trial in Cary, gavel to gavel, Is a Cary domestic violence more *interesting* than the torture and murder of a little biracial child?' To which I got no further replies. :banghead::banghead::banghead:

She went to New Mexico for two weeks of military training.

She is currently out on $50,000 bond.

The last I heard about mom, she's out on bond. back when this happened the bio grandparents on the bio fathers side cared for Teghan a lot. They offered lots of photos of her with them. They had toys and stuff at their home, set up for Teghan. It sounded like some sort of falling out had occurred between them and the mother, much in the same way Casey Anthony took away Caylee. At least that's how it seemed to me, listening to them speak.

I saw that.. but I would bet my car that he was not in her family care plan for the two week training... and this was in summer so most likely the two week annual training :twocents: I CAN however see how they felt she would be back shortly and perhaps her poor family members are regretting not doing something sooner in getting this child to a safe place per their last media bits. :-(

I can not view the video either but the article did have info which I guess is valued since there is limited info from the NC media re this trial.

Now the shed is closer to the house than I thought. From the view on mapquest it looks like there are trees that block the home inbetween the shed......so not true!!
