Question was put to judge I understand. Judge said NO. Might influence jurors.

Yes, makes sense, Chelly. We don't want anything to be a possible factor for an appeal and/or a verdict reversal.

They can always be hung after the trial, seems to me, to show support for the jurors and the principals of the trial, LE, the witnesses, and most of all Teghan and those who truly loved her and will hurt forever about the whole situation.

What more needs to be said? I hope every juror heard that. OMG, that blob over at the DT cannot be human. And if he's not locked up forever, he will find another victim within a couple of weeks. I'll bet on it.

No one who is involved with this case will ever be the same. NO ONE.

Does anyone know if he abused animals? They say that's how serial killers start out...and who's to say there's not another victim.

Oh yes, Weturn, I am sure he has abused animals. He needs control, and he sees these things that he does as having ultimate control -- and he did over Teghan & who knoze who or what else. The lack of certain qualities in him, as with all sociopaths -- insight, a conscience, cause and effect, remorse, etc. -- is what drove him to do whatever he has done already. No social barriers -- somehow he is missing them, and I don't think child abuse (however much or little he endured) is the reason for his actions.

And yes, Weturn, his gf might well be dead today if she had returned to him and that shack.

It seems to me it would be well within a private citizen's 1st amendment rights to hang purple ribbons around town in a random manner, with no direct reference to little Teghan or the person putting them up. They could just mysteriously begin to appear.

Teghan's favorite color was purple and so was dear Whitney Heichel's. The garden we've planted at the site of Whitney's murder is often visited by butterflies to the myriad purple flowers growing there.

Whitney's family nickname was "Mama" because of her nurturing love of children. Sadly, Whitney never got a chance to have a child of her own.

Somewhere in heaven I envision Whitney and Teghan, clad in glowing purple and surrounded by butterflies, coming together to be the loving mother* and daughter that neither of them had in this lifetime.

RIP Sweet Teghan. Justice is coming. RIP dear Whitney. Please look after little Teghan.

*ETA Just to clarify, Whitney had a very loving mother, whom I have had the humble privilege to get to know. I wouldn't want anyone to misunderstand my comment..

If the monster's grandparents had any belated sense of decency they would burn that shed to the ground once the trial is over. My outrage at their indifference to little Teghan makes my blood boil.

I cannot get past the 63 bite marks. I just can't. The other torture as well but how do you even find room to put 63 bite marks on a 4 year old child?

I should have known better than to delve back into this one. My heart and my sanity are best remove and watching from a distance.
