There will be no #JonathanRichardson court Thurs. Back to normal schedule on Fri. and Mon.

I think a day away will be good for everyone involved (not including monster). I follow this trial from my living room reading tweets and this thread and I desperately need a break. I can't imagine what it's like for the jurors/judge/attny's/spectators who are inside the courtroom experiencing this in real time.

this guy should have known how this would go and maybe now he is just getting his jollies off of subjecting the jury members to his acts of torture yet again and over and over again. He removed a finger nail? a nipple? They have already heard this yet they now have to hear it AGAIN. . To hear it once is enough.. and now they have to hear it over and over again. (I realize this is part of the penalty phase but I think this guy with his non reaction to the verdict, is enjoying this rehash of his torture and I HATE THINKING ABOUT THAT)

i feel really badly for his lawyers as well....( as I said above) as I don't think they will ever be the same again after this case.

Good Morning, Justice-loving Peeps -

I wonder how our Guilty-on-all-counts doomed-to-gloom convicted monster slept last night. I'm sure, by the time he got back to the lock-up, his fellow prisoners knew that he was in their lockup only for a few more days... I assume they will keep him close by until the penalty phase is over. Then he'll go to The Big House :jail: for the rest of his (I hope) miserable life. Always looking behind him, to make sure he won't get ambushed a possibly violated. He's stupid, so it may not take long...

Been thinkin' -- What was he planning when he went to buy that hasp for the shed door? Certainly to keep maw-maw (and whoever) out and to keep his barely 4-y/o hostage in. Was he already planning to do things to her? Or did he "lose it" (to use his words) and start then? It doesn't matter, of course, but did he plan horrible things even before Helen left town? Did he have fantasies about doing that to someone (anyone)?

When I heard about the purchase of the hasp before he even returned to that shed, I immediately thought that he was anticipating and looking forward to the atrocities he would perpetrate against Tehgan. And that to me was the creepiest part of all of this - he had such a lack of self awareness and no internal self-discipline that he could summon to stop himself. He knew what he planned was wrong. And he knew it was cruel and sadistic. (Remember - he also intentionally stripped the coating from the electrical cord he beat her with to create his "cat-o-nine tails.")

Yes, I agree - he fully intended to commit these acts and enjoy them.

O/T watching that home invasion trial that ABC also is showing -- actually feel for the defense--their client is testifying and the atty isn't happy. Has stated for the record that he is pretty sure defendant will commit state a few mistruths on stand....

Still happy JR is convicted on all charges--but seriously wish we could view it!

Much as I hate to admit it, another reason for LWOP. DP means an automatic appeal. More time in the limelight. :banghead: If only we could just find death, take him out back and string him up, and be done with it. Wonder if his maw maw is there to hear all this.

I thought it was reported yesterday that he was shaking his head "no" while the verdict was being read. To me this guy is a coward on so many levels. #1 The fact that he couldn't "pick on someone his own size". #2 The fact that he denied so many of his actions (i.e. the sexual assaults) and lied about the head injuries. And #3 his reported body language seems to indicate he thinks the jury got it wrong. IMO He knows on some level of his lizard brain that what he did was WRONG and is too cowardly to own up to it.

No offense to lizards intended.
