According to WSOC-TV, Varner’s release agreement says he is to be confined to his home in Dallas and he can’t leave unless it’s to see his attorney or go to court. He goes back to jail if he violates that order.

Actually it was kidnapping not attempted kidnapping because he had her and she got away when the sister jerked her away from him.
Weird he didn’t take the sister instead?

NC - Gaston Co, Man Attempted to Kidnap 10 year old Girl From Her Yard, Nov 2018 *Arrest*

I’ve been trying to keep my eye on this guy.
He was arrested 11-16-20 for Attemped KidNapping. He was released on 11-23-20 on Bail.
This guy grabbed a child from her front porch. He told the Mother he will be back to get her at a later date. (Sounds like that’s probably not his first time of grabbing a child.)

Looking at his arrest records I think he’s back in custody waiting trail? (Not sure)

GASTONIA, N.C. - DH* said she still has nightmares about the man who tried to pull her into a car just a few yards from her front door.

Neighbors cornered the man at a store and wouldn’t let him leave until police arrived.

H*, 10, was wearing an apron and was getting ready to help her mother when she was grabbed by a stranger near her home on Ware Avenue in Gastonia Friday night.
"I felt, like, something touch me and I got shivers,” H* said.
Tim Varner, of Dallas, grabbed her by the apron and tried to pull her into his car.

"He just tried to grab me,” H* said.

SH* [DH's sister] said Varner drove away, then came back minutes later and made a chilling comment.

"He said, 'That's alright. I'll be back. I'll get her,’” SH* said.
