No, he's not. You just don't like him. If you were a conservative, you'd love him like I do. :D :D :D

Sorry, but that is exactly the sort of simplistic thinking Hannity exhibits, attracts and encourages. He specializes in rhetorical opiates for those who find the world too complex.

My understanding of the Duke case is based largely on your posts, Jeana, which are quite convincing. So for all I know, Hannity finally got it right on this one.

But the chimp who finally types Hamlet is still a chimp.

And Hannity is still a potted plant.

As for braindead political hacks...

I'm sure we'll agree there is a lot of competition for "leader" of that crowd. I have no problem with putting Carville's hat in the ring, but he's a brain surgeon by comparison to the ficus sean-hannitus.

Well, thanks. I think.

You're welcome and no confusion necessary. :)

I have followed closely your posts on this thread (and Wudge's, too) and, barring new information, I am quite convinced the prosecutor overreached.

>No bitchiness here, just the truth: Sean Hannity is as stupid as one can be without actually being classified as a category of plant.<

Well unless you have the copies of his latest IQ test in your possession calling him stupid is only an opinion by someone who probably doesn't like what Hannity has to say. If guesses about IQ are worth anything on this thread I'll put my two cents on Alan Colmes being the more naive and stupid of the pair but hey, I don't have a copy of his latest IQ test either. But I do think he is wrong about 99.9% of the time. I seldom watch their show and think that Sean's radio program is much better.

All of the talking heads are in the business to get ratings whether they are conservative or liberal. If they weren't bringing in viewers they'd be out of a job. I am turned off by the entertainment factor of some of these shows but they are what they are. Hannity and Colmes are paid to put in their two cents. They aren't reporters they are commentators and they all have biases.

Personally I think that some would like to have this case out of the news right now because it is looking like the AV here is at least a liar. The rest of it doesn't reflect well on her at all and the reverse racism is so strong here that you can probably smell it clear across the country. I don't think some liberals like that very much and wish the case would just go away. Sean is one of the few commentators keeping this case in the news.

Sherlockmom, only 99.9% of the time! Gee Whiz!!!! I think you're being too generous though. I would have said less than that. He's like a little kid whose never been out of the backyard before. :D

So you believe everyone to be a "rocket scientist" unless you have a certified IQ test that proves otherwise?

We can evaluate intelligence based on someone's statements and how s/he supports those statements. And I listened to the ficus sean-hannitus radio show for years.

As for Colmes, you've made of him a straw man. Nobody said he is any smarter.

Well, it's safe to bet that if someone has a nationally syndicated television & radio show, where they are paid ridiclous sums of money to basically air their opinions, and people watch them (even those who don't agree with their views) and they've been doing so for a reasonable length of time, they are certainly not stupid, no matter how you cut it.

What you say is usually true, Billy. But:

Charlie McCarthy

In his day, Charlie had an even bigger TV and radio empire.

Nonetheless, I'm pretty sure he was a dummy.

No but I usually discredit them by debating their opinions and questioning their reasoning - not by calling them names. That just makes me look stupid :(

CNN) -- Police investigating the Duke University lacrosse team on rape allegations "omitted" notes from a second dancer at the party, who told authorities the alleged victim had been drinking, was acting "crazy" and that her colleague's accusation was a "crock," a defense attorney said Thursday.

In court documents filed Thursday, attorney Kirk Osborn said that Durham, North Carolina, police "intentionally, deliberately and/or recklessly omitted" information from a probable cause affidavit -- information Osborn says would have persuaded the judge not to file felony charges against three of the players.

* * *

Pittman referred to the accuser's report that she had been sexually assaulted as a "crock," the investigator wrote, and "she also stated that she was with her the whole time until she left," except for five minutes -- not the 30 minutes reported by the alleged victim, according to court documents.

Pittman said in a handwritten note dated March 22 that the accuser, to whom Pittman refers as "Precious," wanted to stay at the party and earn more money, even after one of the players made a verbal threat.

"Precious became 'crazy' and eventually passed out and had to be carried to Pittman's car by some of the Duke athletes," the statement says.

Another police note obtained by the defense says the alleged victim acknowledged having two beers before arriving at the party and that she and Pittman both had a rum and coke after their arrival.

The accuser also told police that she used a vibrating sex toy during a dance in a hotel room for a male and female, but she told police that she had not had sex in the week before the party, the note says.

However, a male friend of the accuser said that he had sex with her that week and that he drove her to three other sexual encounters, according to the friend's statement.

Osborn also claims in the court documents that the nurse who examined the alleged victim was in training and not yet certified.

Wow. This is just incredible.

With all of this information coming out, I cannot understand how Nifong is going to prosecute this case. The whole thing stinks to high heaven.

I think a judge should throw this out of court and issue a very strong warning to this prosecutor.

I agree.

And hopefully those Duke students can earn some of their character back. They should countersue for defamation of character!!

I also think that the families should sue for malicious prosecution and the alleged victim should be arrested for making false charges. This entire case is disgusting.

I'm not saying that the lacrosse team is full of angels. I'm just saying that charges should never have been brought against these three guys.

In all honesty, I would be surprised if their attorneys haven't started the draft of these petitions already. This entire case STINKS to high Heaven. I must stay though that I'm very surprised to hear that the police department would have omitted information as mentioned in that article. I'm beginning to think, and LORD knows I hate to admit, that Wudge may have been right all along. ;)

 Of course, Wudge may just change his opinion if the tide begins to turn... ;)
