how in the...... his head was 2 hours in the opposite direction from NYC right? how did it get there? it couldn't have got caught up on the Amtrak, unless a CSX may have passed during the incident and it got caught up on there?

ok I think I know what happened. I feel like he probably was on the freight train and fell or tried to jump off near the bridge in Robeson at which point he was decapitated, the body was prob caught up and traveled to enfield where it finally fell off. perhaps the Amtrak going by at the time it was found.

I can't make sense of how exactly it happened but it's horrifying no matter how! I can't imagine how upset his family must have been when they were told his body was found without a head. And what do they do now? have another funeral?

right! I would be beside myself not having the whole body back if his body was stuck for that far I am thinking it was not in very good condition but maybe he had his wallet w his ID. which led to the fast ID. Poor guy and poor family.
