:furious:
On posting pics you just copy/paste the IMG code....and yes I was wondering at that too....

sidebyside1.jpg

...maybe she got it when her and AB were running at each other like fighting male seals in the carpark, or (wishful thinking) maybe Zahra got one in when she was trying to defend herself, but I doubt it.

Also look at these three pics, bearing in mind the one with the black eye was taken in May that's a pretty stunning physical transformation in 5 months...I'm thinking 'substances' perhaps meth were involved there.

This looks like a drug transformation to me. Hopefully, as stated, Zahra hit her in the eye at some point defending herself. I still can't get over the pics. Excuse me, I can't remember and there are so many threads, how old is this woman? Anyone?

I bet there is meth use involved here.
Thanks for the pics.

I would like to smack her around myself.:furious:

Bless Zahra. We can't forget to do this. Will be putting her up on the prayer line too.

I'm now thinking drugs was a motivator for dragging Zahra to the states....would the child be prescribed anything the parents might have enjoyed for recreational reasons?

And she's 42.

I have a hunch she had been "doctor shopping" trying to convince one she needed narcotic pain meds (to fuel her own addiction and/or re-sell). Just about any respectable doctor would probably take one look at her, note she appeared to be an addict, and refuse to prescribe any narcotics. That's my theory as to the sort of judgment by a doctor that might cause her to gripe.

ETA:
On her ex-husb's FB, he complained that his doctor had denied him pain meds and placed the blame for that on EB. So, I'm thinking after EB was turned down by her doc(s), she convinced AY to see his doc with bogus complaints that would net some pain pills for her to use/re-sell.

I agree. I'm also wondering about Zahra's choppy, short haircuts - is it possible SM dragged her around with her, told the Dr's she was still recovering from cancer ... kind of used her as a platform for her own problems to obtain scripts for whatever was her poison?

Thank you. I find it hard to believe she is that young.

She has for sure aged with when one looks at these pics.
Not due to her life, but what pain she has caused others. Animal.

She could have very well taken her here to score drugs for herself. It is harder these days to get any type of pills due to new restrictions. Doctors are very cautious about prescribing. I would think this sweet child may have had to use some pain medications
during certain periods of her life. She could have dipped into the cookie jar at
anytime. People who abuse drugs will take anything they think will get them high...

Dr. Shopping with Zahra looking as ill as possible might also be one method as you mention. I agree.

She's had her lips done some time before that jail photo. I wasn't sure until I saw all the photos lined up like that. She's either had tattooing on her lip line or plumping or both. Not inexpensive cosmetic treatments.

In the red jacket (lol) picture she looks like my grandmother used to when she didn't put her teeth in. *shudder*

Was up most of the night reading and thinking about Zahra. i think my heart has been officially broken. Just now was looking at photos of her and the family on Flickr and one thing I find myself asking with this case and other like it, is when did it all go to sh&$?? On the Flickr page I see a smiling girl, doing fun things cared for kid do like seeing Santa and having birthday parties, and this little girl survived two bouts of cancer, so someone was taking her for treatment religiously and caring for her at home. And in the early days at least, it looks like SM took her out, took her for the hearing aid, cared for her, etc. In this case and others, how do the kids go from at least looking like they're being loved and cared for properly to being horribly abused and murdered? Like I said, when and how doe it all go to heLL? When and how do the parents go from loving and caring to their child, to perhaps not caring, to abuse, and then to murder? It is incomprehensible to me.

Quite possible. Then again, EB might have recognized the riskiness of bringing Zahra into a doctor's office. In nearly every state, doctors are under mandate to report any signs of child abuse to the protection agency.

I kinda think 1) EB would have been nervous the abuse would be detected, and 2) EB may have been too twisted off into her own narcissism to bring any attention/empathy on Zahra by using her illness as a ploy.

Hard to say about #2 there - there are the stories about EB taking at least one of her other children around in a wheelchair with a made-up story to get sympathy. There's the media coverage on Zahra's hearing aids where EB looks like she might relish the attention. But so far, all the other cries for attention I've seen from EB (on MS, FB profiles) are focused on herself and claims about her own "illnesses".

ETA:

But the choppy hair cut is bothering me, too! Among the many other disturbing thoughts surfacing...

Waiting for news hard on grandmother, family in Australia
The investigation into the disappearance of Zahra Clare Baker is taking its toll on her family in Australia.
Zahra’s grandmother, Karen Baker, who lives in Newcastle, New South Wales, said the media circus outside her home was pushing the family to the breaking point, according to the Townsville Bulletin, published near Giru, Queensland, the town where Zahra spent much of her life.
The dreaded details of the search for Zahra have spread across Australia where the 10-year-old is seen as a celebrity because of her gallant fight against cancer.
Zahra was raised by her grandmother.
Karen Baker told the media that the family has little or no sleep as they await news of Zahra.

Missing girl's father says he believes she's alive

The father of a missing 10-year-old said Friday he believes his daughter is still alive and that he's cooperating with police who have been searching for her for a week.
Authorities returned to search the Bakers' home Friday, and this time removed a bed and bags of possible evidence that might help explain what happened to Zahra Baker.
Adam Baker insisted he had nothing to do with his daughter's disappearance.

OK ... a Holden jacket is a classic emblem of Australian Boganness, an instant signifier of that special little sub-group of Australian cultural life, it is usually worn in honour of the God of all motor sports, Peter Brock. It's just one of those items of clothing that contains so much significance that it cannot be worn casually, it contains meaning, historical significance, and invokes a golden age.

A Holden by the way is Australia's own car....Basically it's a GM with a different body, and a bit more crap.

I've been up most of the night thinking about, and praying for, Zahra. I honestly never thought I'd find a case that bothered me as much as the Ethan Stacey case did, but this one may have actually surpassed that.

Please, baby girl, help lead the investigators to you so you, and everyone who's heart is breaking for you, can find peace.

Let this be the day Zahra is found.
