Well --

I could use some clarification about WS TOS.

I've been told I have to post a working link along with a history of EB's charges I intend to share. But the site I've gathered the info from requires subscription - so I cannot post a direct link to the source.

Question:

Can I upload the screenshots (in a PDF) to a site like docstoc and link to that - and be in compliance with WS TOS?

Sorry for all my newbiness :blushing:

If the car was sold on it wouldn't be in question would it? I wonder if there's any likelyhood to the Monte Carlo hints thrown around on NG? Could Zahra be with the missing car?

I HATE to write this, but here goes - There are a lot of scrap metal places around here. There is one just up the road from my house. I beleive they crush cars pretty quickly after receiving them. EB could have received $300 - $400 for scrapping the car.

IF the car was sold for scrap and IF Zahra was in the car... I can not finish this thought.

Has it ever been mentioned by any of the neighbors at the Baker's current address that they woke up to sirens blearing the wee hours of the morning when the fire was reported?

IMO, even though Zahra was hearing impaired, she could hear things even without her hearing aids. I am basing my thoughts from the video where Zahra stated she could hear more with the hearing aids then without them.

I normally do a print screen or use my snipping tool to capture the info when I can't link to the actual documents especially when they are criminal charges etc.

I think that if Zahra was in the car if it was sold for scrap, that the scrapyard folks would have noticed something/smelled something by now if it had been crushed. Maybe it was just abandoned somewhere so it couldn't be traced back as quickly.

(as with the woodchipper in the beginning, this case makes me feel sick just thinking such thoughts) :(

Thanks Patty, I've been having this problem too. However, how do you do a print screen into WS and what is a snipping tool? TIA

I don't remember establishing that the Impala belonged to the landlord......

It could have just been someone speculating. I likely read it wrong. I've tried to get it established. We had a poster here who was friends with MC and I asked them but they haven't returned.

I also recall that it was reported that AB showed up at the house for the search being driven by someone in a white Impala. I think at the time we thought it might have been LE.

Wonder what colour the one on the property was/is?

It does seem to be quite the mystery. Someone asked a news channel about it and they claimed that the original copy of the warrant they had didn't include it. Then again, in another question they thought AB's first name was Mark so it's likely they just don't have clue.

Maybe we should ask them about the Impala. They said they were going to find out. LOL.

On page 6 of the search warrant there is a third car mentioned. An 05 Impala. It isn't mentioned anywhere in the nine pages that was released. Why wasn't it listed in the probable cause affidavit if they planned to search it? Did they take evidence from it?

News 14 Carolina was the first to obtain the search warrant issued October 10th. It is a front and back search warrant and three pages, front only, of narrative. From our review of the search warrant there is no mention of a 2005 Impala. We checked with the Catawba County Clerk of Courts Office Thursday evening in Hickory and Newton and they said no other warrants were available in this case. The probable cause affidavit we obtained only listed the Chevy Tahoe and Toyota Camry. Both vehicles were seized by the police department.

Thank you for your follow up question regarding the 2005 Impala that was listed on search warrant documents. The Catawba County Clerk of Court did not provide those additional supplemental forms to News 14 Carolina when we obtained the search warrant October 11. It's possible the supplemental forms were not available at the time. Clerks said Thursday there were no additional warrants on record. We will certainly continue to check for public record documents that are available on this investigation, though we've been told future warrants will be sealed. We will also ask about the 2005 Impala.

I disagree - put Zahra in the trunk - find an out of the way place through the woods that dead ends at the water - push the car in - you're done.

As for the registration on the car - LE can run a search just on the make, model and year(s) and all cars that match the description will come back. They would then have a VIN# and a plate#.

Maybe they recently sold it - that would be easy to track. Maybe that's why EB was in that furniture store looking for living room furniture - with the money from the car. But I highly doubt a 70's monte carlo would bring much more than a couple of hundred dollars (if that).

I'm so glad this is somewhat of a rural area and not "urban mecca" like where I am - finding a car where I'm at is like looking for a needle in a haystack.

(bolding by me) I kid you not, cars are found at the bottom of Lake Hickory every single year when they clean it out. I totally agree with you.

I'm almost certain that the Impala doesn't belong to MC unless it is a lease.

I hate that I missed church on Sunday because one of my Sunday school classmates is apparently good friends with MC and added him and his family to the prayer list. They are really having a time with all of this. I would have loved to talk to him for a bit (in a non-invasive way, of course).

I can well imagine this has been tough on the whole family. To have been dragged into this mess - To wonder what ill will EB harbored against him. To wonder if a child met her sad end in the property he owned and rented to her parents.

Maybe it is just me and living in a small community...but something like this would be soooo talked about....not only on FB but Topix and everywhere else....this area would snoop and talk and there would be nothing left to the imagination when they were done, lol.

I really hope LE has thought of this. I think it's a real possibility and why EB and AB may think no one will ever find her.

When do they usually clean the lake out?

ETA: Whoa, creepy. I just had flash of Zahra in a car in water. She was kind of floating there, seatbelt on. I wonder if her prosthetic leg would float or sink?

I have the program "snipping tool" on my computer as I have Vista. You can download a program like "snipping tool".

I found print screen too time consuming, as there are a few steps to the process. Since I am not that good at print screen and thankful I have "snipping tool", hopefully someone can help you better with print screen.

I thought it was usually in the spring that the high schools did it as sort of a community service thing, but evidently, it was done just a few weeks ago by another organization:

Again wishing we had concrete word on Zahra's last known whereabouts. :(

I found directions for print screen right here on WS.

How to Use the Prt Scrn Key to Capture Screenshots

Well dangit...I was hoping they hadn't yet...but it was done on October 2. If they didn't put the car in there until after that, it still could be there...
