I wasn't referring to anything you said specifically. I've seen others state several theories about the cars both being positive by the dogs. :D Though I'm not sure she would have had to drive them both ... there are too many possible ways both cars could get a positive hit :banghead:

Well, I think we can all agree that there should not be any human decomp whatsoever in their vehicles. That's the main takeaway for me, regardless how it may have come to be present in one or both cars.

Speculating about how that might have happened is exactly the type of thing we do here. We toss out all our ideas and discuss/debate. It's the best way to get to the truth or the most likely scenario. :seeya:

What it indicates to me is that Zahra didn't just walk/runaway. She's nowhere to be seen alive or reported in the local area. I beleive she was transported somewhere in one of those vehicles. I also beleive there's another car not found yet, a monte carlo maybe. JMO

I so agree!

Peliman how'd you get the picture of the the way I look in the mornings for your avatar???:innocent:

It's good to see you again!

It's here in Toronto too! A good friend of mine has been sick for over a month and DH came down with it last friday. He just keeps feeling worse and worse!

It is amazing to me after watching the landfill video, that they could hone in on anything....looks like it is lifting and spreading stuff so how can they read dates? I am so confused. Looks to me if they found "dates" how in the world could they link anything together.....admitting I know nothing about landfills other than I admire these guys that have to do this dirty work. Please find this child.

They are probably trying to just figure out where some of the trash is from maybe from the addresses on old mail, newspapers, and such. That way they can narrow down to her county or neighborhood. Five days seems very quick to me considering the size of this place. They have their work cut out for them for sure.

IDK if anyone is interested or not but I grew up in NW Hickory area and work there now. I rode by the house today just out of curiosity and there were no cars nor people around. The driveway was empty and you can see straight back to the small backyard and the donut place (where the dumpster is located). There were logs as if trees were cut down and a cherry picker truck from what I could see. The donut dumpster is right at the back edge of their backyard.

Regarding mattress disposal in the city limits, I am sure you have to call a special call to the garbage disposal service or take it yourself in your truck, which is allowed. When you check in at the dump, you tell them what you have to dump and they point to where you should dump it. So they could have dumped the mattress earlier in the week or weeks before (if she was killed then) and replaced it with a new mattress.

Also growing up in this area, we used to play on the golf course as kids at night. I think there is or used to be a pond out in the middle. I wonder why they haven't considered that pond? There is also remote access areas to the lake but most would be inaccessible through brush and trees or you would have to go through someones yard.

Like I said, this may help get an overview of the lay of the area etc. Hope it helps.

Morning Nursie!

Do me a favor and have another look at these? I thought it was duct tape too, but then I noticed they had wrapped the rails in something as well and I'm not sure that the duct tape was to hold the twin mattress together but to hold the wrapping they used in order to transport the mattress to forensics?

Also, I had a look at the mattress that was pulled across the ground at the dump. The one taken from Zahra's home looks to be a twin size? (anyone disagree or agree?) and the one at the dump site (I only saw a vid of one of the mattresses I'm reading there might have been 2 they were interested in? Or am I wrong?) looked to be a full size bed by the way the 4 LE were dragging it?

What do you all think?

interesting.... The mattress at the landfill reminds me of the mattress off of my fouton (sp), it was fairly thin and very flexible... I could roll it up if I wanted to... and the frame was made of wood too.. which makes me wonder about the wood chipper... I wonder if the family noticed the change from a fouton to a regular bed and called the authorities.... maybe they noticed it from the news.... Just thinkin...:waitasec: and here comes that lump in my throat again... :(

I just thought I'd mention.... that someone stated they sighted AB in walmart the other day with a young woman (around 20) who had dark hair with blonde streaks in the front.

I suspected at that time it was either BS or AF .....
Is the person still posting ? Have they seen AF in the testimony video ? I'm curious if he WAS with AF (and would also like the speculation that he already is taking up with a "new woman" cleared off the slate if possible)

I saw AB at Walmart on Tuesday....and after seeing the testimony video, it was definitely AF that he was with. It seems that she "fixed" her hair somewhat, for the testimony!

What do you all think was discovered which made LE change the case from a missing person to a homicide so definitively that day? What evidence did LE find that brought the Sheriff to choking back sobs during that announcement? There has to be something that tells them for CERTAIN that this is a homicide. Also, why are they certain that Z's body is not in the landfill? Partial confession? Other evidence we don't know about? It is a puzzle.

Awww I'm so sorry to hear.. it's a virus that's spreading uber fast it seems.

My daughter had it last week and she was sicker than I've ever seen her and she's 18! Which made me think of Zahra and if she really DID have something like that and she wasn't being given water and watched over consistantly she could have gotten much sicker, stayed sick longer and died. SO sad to think of.

However, Defense Attorney Scott Reilly found it unsettling that the judge increased what he believed was an already excessive bail.

Reilly believes that if the judge paid attention to the standard guidelines for those charged with obstruction of justice instead of the media attention surrounding the case, Elisa Baker's bail would be set at $10,000.

Thanks, shopgirl! And thanks for the info from the local source last night. It surely seems they were on the right track!

Hey Frogin :),

I can't locate the vid that has the image of the 4 LE dragging a mattress which is the one I wanted to screen capture for sure.

I did screen capture this one. Poor quality that's from quality of the vid because I went full screen to capture it.

This is one of the mattresses at dump. Looks twin sized? Maybe?

I too would love to know the answer to that one.

My personal opinion is that evidence gathered under the sealed search warrant yielded proof of decomp, or there was something else fairly definitive that came to light through forensics.

video showing mattress... (((it looks old and duct taped)))

also..... note what the old landlord has to say about the last place they lived!!!! ((re squirrels)) I don't think those squirrels were in anyones' head!

Sorry I'm way behind but the duct tape is wrapped around the matteress as though it's to close the large clear bag. If it is a mattress they are looking for (and seems to be) then the one they carried out of the house may have been a used mattress they picked up somewhere.
I hope this new info the Police have is from someone who either sold or gave them the mattress they carried out of the house.

I'm confused to, that's why I feel maybe they are looking for her computer or Zahra's laptop? IDK.

Well alrighty then! Perhaps Mr. Reilly would like to share with us (if he knows) the nature of the "upsetting and disturbing" new allegations that caused the judge to raise the bond. Then we'll see if it seems excessive. Otherwise, don't whine about it, mister (even though it's your job to do so and you wouldn't be worth diddly squat if you didn't!).
