Oh my....I blew it up and I see a board like ems use to carry people. Somebody else look and tell me!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :blushing:

What I thought was the board, same idea as you, ems type, is actually just the dog laying down, I feel dumb now, lol. I knew my eyesight was bad! :innocent:

Thank you Lera!

Pic 2 is of a dog and handler for those that are interested in the dogs at searches too.

Oh wow, they sure are interested in that brush pile eh? JMHO.

That brush pile sure stands out from the rest of the area. Almost as if it were placed there to conceal something ... JMO

Zahra's stepmom talking as mattress found at landfill

Updated story that clarifies where mattress was found.

http://www.wbtv.com/Global/story.asp?S=13297637

Meanwhile on Tuesday afternoon, a mattress fitting the description of Zahra Baker's was found at the Caldwell County landfill that was searched for 3 days last week. DNA was on the mattress, police said.

The mattress discovery was made late Tuesday afternoon by employees as they were regrading the landfill in the area that had been searched last week, Hickory police said.

Good citizens helped.....yeaaa!

I see a dog on a down?

Is it safe to surmise, then, that the DNA was something they could obviously identify? Something visible to the naked eye? Like blood?

*removed quote because i quoted wrong post like a dumdumhead. oops*

I'm off to celebrate a milestone birthday with my daughter ..... I hope there is news that Zahra has been found when I return.

I wonder .... ? Is it possible someone could have been hiding her waiting for safety (KB) to arrive? or is it to late to hold such hopes?

It's going to be dark soon. I fear we're in for another day (at least) of not knowing...

I wonder how many places EB will take them to tomorrow??
:furious:

I'm pretty sure FBI forensics can get any of that rather quickly.

I'm sure the FBI could get it within a few days at most. It does take some hours for certain parts of DNA testing (if the sample is really small they will probably do PCR to amplify it first, then the fingerprinting.) It also depends on what type of testing they are doing. Not long, in my opinion and experience with mock "crime scenes" I've done in school... I did it in a day. *keep in mind it was a lab assignment and probably must less extensive than a real DNA analysis.*

I love that idea. I really do. In a perfect world, I'd believe it. And stranger things have happened....

but...

Happy milestone Birthday bellyup's daughter!! :)

Sarx, if they didn't go deep enough the first time. I would think they would go back out and research just to make sure they didn't miss anything after the mattress reported as found, was found.

Do you think so?

JMHO.

Stats say Men usually bury the dead, right?
Mattress found........big equipment....dogs hit.
Maybe Zahra is buried as far down as at he could
go, mattress on top????

Possible theory.... Adam says he hadn't seen Zahra since Thursday.
Police said they believe mattress was tossed approx 2 days before her disappearance. ( i don't have link handy but it was posted several times in MSM)

Perhaps EB had AB toss the mattress and he didn't even know ? OR she just told him she got a new one and tossed the other herself (with help from someone ????)

He reported to LE that they (she? he ?) disposed of the mattress, that caused the mattress getting taken from his home (to see if Zahra's DNA was on it). Search was called off that weekend..... while DNA results and tests of the mattress in the house were processed. Mattress came back negative for Zahra's DNA .... hence the start of the landfill search.

EB realizes they are on to her, at the advise of lawyer decides to help them find the mattress .... and try to implicate AB ????

I think something along these lines could be likely. JMO...

What's "on a down" mean sarx?

Sorry for the stupid question!

That it's been told to (lay) down and (likely) stay put :D

  • #158
Mattress was said to be found when the landfill equipment operators were regrading today per news report.

  • #159
The DNA I think LE is wanting to find on mattress is decomp, blood, body fluids.......
that would prove death at least and confirm their fears.
Might prove a crime (homecide) at least enough to arrest them!

I can't tell exactly SH, I'm sorry.

Anyone can tell? TIA!

If you look at photo #1, you will see the gate with the stop sign.
