it just occurs to me that i am not seeing a "grid" laid out for searching the area, nor am i seeing sifters anywhere in sight. it appears they are looking for larger pieces than just bone fragments (ie: Caylee Anthony case). Maybe I am comparing apples to oranges as the Caylee investigation - they had actually found a skull. Here - it appears as if they are on a fishing expedition. I am now a little concerned that a grid pattern hasn't been set up in all of the spots they are digging and scratching at the earth or moving piles of mulch. seems like if some remains (god forbid) are found in this area - the defense could argue a disturbed scene. i hate the thought that i might be helping someone's defense - but i am hopeful the police don't compromise the scene in their good intentions.

Did we ever determine why EB's address is listed as this house on the "who's in jail" site? Is't the address of the home they are at 21 21st St NW ?

Maybe that was her last address on her drivers license?? I'm sure she likes to keep her actual residence unknown so no repos could happen. LOL

My huddy took a second look at the pic and said it was a spring action coil for testing how hard the soil is.

This is true. Nothing yet, so there might be a lot of close watching of the scene going on. How could he ignore his tweet followers so callously!

Seriously though...it's been a while since he last updated which could mean there's far more critical things happening on scene and he'll update when it's big. Or he went for coffee....

In picture 10, it looks like two guys with the same tool, maybe?

The gas company here has a sniffer that looks very similar to these tools. They twist or push it into the ground to detect leaks underground. I wonder if it's to detect decay or something like that?

It could be the gas company, marking gas lines, so they don't hit anything when digging!

It's actually 21 21st AVE NW. lol. Welcome to Hickory and our wonderful address system.

The address shown on the "Who's in Jail" website is a former address. As someone else mentioned, maybe her driver's license hasn't been updated. That woman has moved more times than anyone I know, and I'm an air force brat so that's saying something.

and I bet they are using it.... I don't think they would just dig willy nilly in the yard... they are most likely using monitors to see if the ground has been recently disturbed and if it has they dig further to ascertain if something is there.

Forgive me if this has been answered already, but just how was she "verified" as really being Zahra's mom?

All I've seen are various posts from "biomom" who claims to be Zahra's mother, telling a story on a comments page of a crime blog.

I have been googling and still can't figure out the coiled thing. IME, a sewer snake for commercial projects is on a large thing, like a garden hose coiler, like this...

And many commercial versions have the fiber optic camera already attached.
