I cannot answer that sorry thats a question for US immigration or someone else. I am here for Z not to phone our National Embassy to ask if my relative filed correct documents. To me the passport, visa issue is off topic, if AB were in the US illegally then US LE would be smart enough to address his status I would think especially if they are charging him with offences or serving warrants.
I respect your position in not wanting to discuss this aspect and probably other things that many of us have unanswered questions about, and you are quite correct in what you state about LE knowing AB's status which I'm certain at some point will all come out.
I trust, however, you will understand that some of us do have concerns in so far as it pertains to not only those of us who have been through the immigration process but others in the future. As another who has questioned this issue since more or less the beginning, the passport and visa issues may indeed turn out to be completely irrelevant to this case but, if they do turn out to have any bearing, questions raised during this investigation about the immigration process may lead in future to tightening up in areas where the system is weak.
