(respectfully snipped)
This can't be a well thought out plan, why is it so hard to find her..

These two videos give what seems to me like a decent general feel for Hickory and Granite Falls. The main thing to note is that there's lot of undeveloped land, mountains, waterways, etc either right there or not at all far away. It wouldn't be too hard to hide anything or anyone... but hopefully that's not the case...

In December 2009, the Bakers’ landlord at the trailer park served Adam Baker with an eviction notice saying that he owed $1,114 in back rent. The trailer rented for $115 a week, seeming to indicate that they had been living there and not paying for about two months, a time that would overlap with the time they were living at the apartment in Granite Falls.

Okay, eviction notice on trailer was Dec. 09 . And there's an overlap time frame from where they were renting both the trailer and an apartment in Granite Falls. Is Granite falls also in Hudson? Or rather, I guess I should ask: would Hudson school officials cover Granite Falls? (sorry, I don't know the area at all, so I'm alittle clueless here.)

ETA: from what I can see, Granite Falls is in Caldwell County. Ugh, I need more coffee!

I would assume that the immigration process is similar to that of Canada, which I have gone through. Born and raised in the USA came to canada with my daughter. It took almost 1 year to go from application to canadian citizen. I had to do finger prints and FBI check along with a lot of other things. Also it was stated that if i had a crimal past my application would be denied.

I would believe that also if criminal activity happens in the usa by a non citizen that they could be asked to leave the country, as that would be grounds for them to be inadmissable to usa ( at least thats how it is here)

That's correct, at this time given the time frame when he arrived and assuming he did apply for a Green Card and got one, it is conditional for two years at which time he has to apply for the conditions to be lifted and be issued a new GC. Background and criminal checks will be done by the FBI pertaining to his time in this country and if he has any arrests or convictions on his record beyond minor traffic violations he will almost definitely be denied a new GC and then deported.

This child would not even have been receiving chemotherapy if her cancer was in remission. How on earth could a black eye be attributed to chemotherapy and a caseworker believe it? Why would a caseworker not know this?

Maybe someone in human medicine can weigh in on this .... but there are times where there are drugs given to MAINTAIN remission IME (which is in the veterinary field). Seeing as we take all our leads from human medicine I would think it's POSSIBLE that Zahra was on some chemo medications to maintain her remission.

CSI would not search on the first visit to the house because they have no search warrant but they sure did do a visual inspection noting what evidence to focus on once that warrant was ready. This sometimes can take a week or more.

There is NO way that if LE had any thought of the house being the crime scene that they would just do a visual inspection and walk away with the house unsecured "waiting" on a search warrant. NO WAY. There is too much opportunity for contamination, removal of evidence, etc. It simply would not happen. They can get a search warrant in a matter of hours or minutes if it's needed..... especially with the FBI involved in the case of a missing child.

Yeah -- but (IMO) Zarha got no medical treatment. :furious: If she had,she would have gotten a new leg.. :(

Ah...Hudson Elementary School is in Caldwell county. So I assume we'd be looking at the the apartment in Granite Falls (also in Caldwell County) for when Hudson school officials and DSS paid the visit. Was the Granite Falls apartment the last known residence prior to the W21st adress? Anyone know?

I wonder what condition they left the rentals in???
I have a feeling EB is not much of a house keeper.........IMO

Wonder if it was the neighbors in Sawmills who reported seeing AB and EB return to the area at night after they had moved out. I seem to recall this being the case, as it seems I read somewhere that this occured at last known residence prior to W21st.

(Just trying to write out the thoughts running through my head this morning to clarify things in my own mind.)

How did the mattress get to the landfill. Do people just wander in or do they pay a fee? If it was thrown in a dumpster, which one..
Please excuse me,I've had too much coffee or not enough, and my mind is raceing like it's on a hampster wheel..

And the Grand Jury meets today. I wonder if Zahra's case is being considered? :waitasec:

Any searches today?

I believe EB is sadistic for sure, has a personality disorder and probably some other forms of mental illness. I believe AB is also sadistic, downright stupid, immature and has no life coping skills. I also think that when and if this case is ever solved, it will be far less complicated than has been speculated. Neither of them are rocket scientists and it's not to hard to figure out how to hide a body or body parts that wouldn't be found.

MOO

I pondered this one too, Peg, and figured that since LE searched the landfill in a grid pattern, it indicated that based on current/past residences they had some idea where that mattress might have ended up.

The fact that landfill staff apparently happened upon the mattress later in a different spot indicates (to me at least) that it was dumped in one of those roadside trash dump spots that you'll see in many communities.

If that's true then I wonder if its location within the landfill gave them ideas about where to do some of the following searches along roadsides? :waitasec:

I had to be offline all weekend with out of town guest...

Am I correct in assuming, LE have not located Zahra?
