While I 100% remember these reports, I am not seeing them in our media links thread and am not having luck calling them up in online searches... does anyone have saved screen shots of these stories?

We've seen in this case (and others) that online media alter stories at will without giving notice. For our sleuthers who specialize in this sort of thing, probably good to grab screen shots of any news articles from here out, so we can add them to that thread. May we never need a full forum for Zahra, but if/when we do, having these will be invaluable.

And the power bill/ransom note is one piece of the puzzle that lends credence to the idea that Zahra had been gone a while, and they suddenly needed to explain her absence. I've read three theories about why this might have happened:

- contact from Zahra's birth mother
- refusal of family members to drop agg ass charges
- LE-reported impending visit of *some kind of inspector*

ETA: and thank you for your responses to my theories! Believe me, I want every one of them not to be true!

Great post, ynot! Even if I did sit here, for a minute, trying to figure out just what 'agg ass' charges were. LOL! :croc: for me!

A Duke Power envelope with handwriting was inside the vehicle on the front windshield.

The note written on the envelope was addressed to a "Mr. Coffey," identified in the search warrant as Adam Baker's boss, Mark David Coffey.

Wait a second...does that news report say that in the 911 missing child report AB told police that someone also poured gas in HIS vehicle and abducted his daughter? That can't be right. Is it? :waitasec:

I don't understand this question. Are you questioning AB's referring to the car as HIS?

If the RN was really written on their electric bill envelope, that makes it seem like the whole fire/ransom note/missing daughter bull crap was a hastily thought out plan, doesn't it?? I mean if you were planning some scheme to make LE think someone started a fire to distract you so they could mistakenly kidnap your daughter, who they thought was your boss's daughter, wouldn't they use a nice crisp piece of paper that they had written in advance?? What lunatic would drive by and think "Oh, the Coffey's live there!!! I think I will start a fire in their truck and write a ransom note on the electric bill (which doesn't BELONG to the Coffey's) and then kidnap their daughter!" These people are WAY too <modsnip> to get away with this horrible crime!!!

(MOO) I feel like Laurel and Hardy could reenact the entire scene of these two trying to create a cover up. I'm surprised they didn't set themselves on fire. :trout:

Not meaning to make little of the situation it's just all so ridiculous you have to either chuckle or cry and sometimes I run out of tears.

I have alot of respect for Gloria Allred professionally. She doesn't just jump on everyone else's bandwagon. She won't be baited into answering a question. She's a very smart lady that I think gives very good legal advise which is why her clients are usually found not guilty or a very good deal is cut for the client.

MOO

They need an Australian Psychologist to assess an Aussie otherwise the assessment would not be an accurate interpretation, leaving no stone unturned :P

I've always thought the fire incident just screamed "panic". IMO, this mysterious "home inspection" LE spoke of was a DSS inspection. Zahra was already gone, inspection was coming up, gotta act fast, KNIM? In fact, it wouldn't surpirse me a bit if plans were come up with before the fire/kidnapping plan, but were never followed through with (for one reason or another). And even the fire/kidnapping setup didn't go as planned, imo, since I've really come to believe that they intended to "discover" Z missing during that staging, but backed out because they feared they might not have covered all their bases.

All just MOO.

I don't understand LE bringing up a home inspection if it was one from DSS. LE could just contact the agency and get the info, but it sounded to me like they wanted that person to contact them. Any home inspection for rental property also LE could get the info and track them down without going public. jmo

So where is Adam Baker? I cannot believe the media isn't all up on his six!

AB is living with BS. Go ahead unleash the dogs. He is getting to hide out, and it is not fair. Reporters were all over the Anthony's, why aren't they all over AB and his family? BTW, they are in Hudson, NC.

You may be right. It doesn't cross my mind that often that Aussie murderer's are any different from American ones.

I think netsleuther was talking about AB's personality traits being from country Aus. They are much more laid back and different to Americans

Well I don't know about that.....there are a couple of cultural differences, but all in all I can't imagine two more similar cultures....*she says as she finishes a brownie and moves onto a diet coke. KWIM?

Not sure what you mean by the first part, but the TOWN didn't loose Zahra. That was her dad and step mom.

Thanks for bolding my emotion within the text :)

I wonder if they were thinking of skipping the state or country to escape the charges by BB?
EB may have felt Zahra was too much of a hinderance or would make them too obvious to be able to hide or remain in hiding for very long?

Hmmmmmm......

Where would you be getting that from? Is there something you have read that would state that? Maybe language terms are different, but we are all humans, an our brains work the same. Well, mine works like a normal human, I can't speak for murderers.

aggravated assult, i kind of liked it better agg ass:crazy:

Especially if you read it quickly (as I did) and, by mistake, put an 'e' in place of the 'a' in agg. :waitasec: LOL!

:blushing: Well that would explain why I 100% remembered it!

(Still stand by my suggestion about screen shots tho. :snooty:)
