Do I hear "insanity" plea coming DOWN the pike from EB's attorney?

Wow - Just getting caught up - an interesting side note - this "Gein" person who is selling the letters and has the website, etc - I believe in the 1950's there was a serial killer in Wisconsin named "Ed Gein" - there was a movie made about his crimes which were horrific, as you can imagine. My husband and I thought it was a 'thriller/suspense' but got more than we bargained for after 5 minutes; needless to say it was 5 minutes too much. Anyway - just an observation - not a common name and one with a demented connection -

In an article quoted earlier, it was said that "Eric Gein" is an assumed name (to protect him from victims' families who might not appreciate his work), and that it was inspired by Ed Gein.

Eric Gein is the website's owner. It's a pseudo name he uses. He is a "fan" of Ed Gein.

Here is an article about Eric and the site:

Let's think about it. Why would LE want them out there? Well teh, the obvious answer would be so that AB can see what she's saying. Play them against each other. Any other thoughts?

Now tell 'em what they've won Gene . . .

I really think that if Zahra's body had been decomposing in the house for any significant period of time, there would have had to be some lingering smell that LE would have noticed during the first search (and for sure the dogs would have hit on). Am I wrong?

JMO

We really don't know that the dogs didn't hit. LE has not said anything about dogs inside.

We have gotten no verified info on the dogs inside. I remember seeing one handler tell a reporter that there were no hits on the outside and then the reporter asked about the inside and he was told "you're going to have to talk to the police for that". So, that kinda gave us an "inkling" that those dogs, indeed, get hits on the inside - but as for LE confirming it - nope, not a word.

Patty, I can't imagine what else they could use..I realize that there is much we don't know..nor do I believe it would work..but when all else is going to fail..as I believe it will..it would surprise me if we didn't hear insanity barreling down the pike..

Veggie killers... ;)

Her signoff about wanting to be vampire leads me to a question if I may. Don't vampires believe in everlasting life after their once bitten? Could this be why EB says. "We didn't really kill her" is going on in her misguided mind?

Can't believe I'm even thinking this while getting out my cross and silver bullets.
And don't forget the garlic cloves around your neck, Peliman.

Except that they seemed to clear the house as a crime scene pretty quickly the first time through. It wasn't until later that they came back and sawed the place to bits.

If LE was aware of those letters, and I believe they were, there is a reason they are out there...they wanted them out there.

I don't doubt they were aware of the letters as outgoing/ingoing mail is checked/monitored for contraband etc...

They have no control over if they are released to the public or not though.
They can only hold or keep the letters if they violate jail policy. Otherwise they get mailed. Once they are mailed LE has no control over what happens from there.

Can anyone give me a clue about the major crime show on Truetv? I'm in Canada so I am not sure which one is so popular??

Yep you're right!

[ame]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ed_Gein[/ame]

Edward Theodore "Ed" Gein (pronounced /ˈɡiːn/; August 27, 1906 – July 26, 1984) was an American murderer and body snatcher. His crimes, which he committed around his hometown of Plainfield, Wisconsin, garnered widespread notoriety after authorities discovered Gein had exhumed corpses from local graveyards and fashioned trophies and keepsakes from their bones and skin.

Yep, kinda like the letters from the inmate that ICA wrote that were released today. You can bet LE knew she wrote those - especially being addressed to another inmate - but so? who cares? they're going to sink her boat even further.

Sorry - I forgot how to 'quote' - thanks 'Darlin Gal' - very scary to think that there are 'fans' like that in this world.....beyond my comprehension for sure.

BBM

I'm not sure, but I do believe they can keep letters. Letters referring to crimes or illegal activities. That's one reason you have to be careful about what you are writing. I've heard it said many times that jailers refused to send/let inmate receive letters because of content.

I think that LE could 'request' that they not be released yet..I would hope that anyone would respect those wishes if that were the case.. I know I wouldn't want to be on the bad side of LE for any reason..but, who knows?
