In regards to living in the car

Surely someone would have noticed. There were businesses all around and the neighbor would have to have noticed.

I would think so...assuming they parked the car at the house.

I agree 100%! She isn't insane. She's just plain evil!

And, her lawyers really have their work cut out for them.

They have her turning state's evidence Adam if she can pull it together.
Won't get her off scott free, but it might get her reduced.

This is going to come down completely to a he said she said case.
There have been a lot of people involved in the clean up that testified against the killer to get themselves excused from the clean up.

I don't think she can get herself unravelled enough to make that kind of deal, but she might be able to make a deal if they need her to get him.

It will really depend on how much physical evidence they can piece together.

Note- I don't think she is innocent by any stretch of the imagination, just saying her attorney is not without tools at this point.

PURE SPECULATION BELOW

Perhaps one of them were kicked out or too disturbed to be there and so slept in the vehicle?

PURE SPECULATION ABOVE

Yeah that makes more sense. I wonder whose toothbrushes they were. Maybe AB and ZB were living in the car (until her demise). Or maybe the 3rd party with ZB. All speculation of course

Also did the neighbor mention if he noticed the power being off? Was he asked? If not that maybe a job for our trusty locals. I would definitely notice if my neighbors power was switched off for a period of time

Goodnight all- I hadn't posted in ages but appreciate the discourse tonight.

Again, I just want to remind everyone to think/pray/love and remember a precious and precocious little Koala Bear named Zahra. As someone on an earlier thread stated, her freckles dance across the evening sky in the form of stars in the Milky Way. God Bless, Goddess Bless and good night sweet girl.

Can't get the quote button to work correctly since I snipped your post Bellyup........Are you there Goth.... it's me Elisa ....

But that little nugget literally made me laugh out loud so hard my hubby walked in the room, looked at me, shook his head and walked off.

By no means is this tragedy a laughing matter but sometimes I think we all need little comedic breaks from the pure evilness of all of this. Thanks for the laugh!

I'm. Not. Kidding.

Just got back on like an hour ago--trying desperately to catch up! Of all days!

wonder if opened is the same as read line for line?

I do believe that they read it basically line for line. I know that the inmate has a responsibility to inform you of inappropriate language, etc that could cause them to lose writing privileges. There are a lot of INS and outs and rules that you deal with if you correspond with an inmate. This of course is from the prison level but from my experience county jail is much more strict often with less privileges for the inmate.

OK. Must go to bed.

Thank you to those who have shared your insights with all of us, and to those who will sit with Zahra overnight. And to the mods, who keep us in line and (SPECULATION ALERT AND MOO-->) have the hardest jobs here.

Heck of an end to a day that started with so much meatloaf... :grouphug:

In this video, the reporter said that LE has said they have not talked to AB since he got out of jail and they would like to interview him again. At the end of the video the reporter asks AB's attorney about AB talking to LE and he says no comment.

IMO EB has crossed the line from sociopath to psychopath. A lot of sociopaths "function" in society without ever committing a crime - psychopaths "go that extra mile" and not only commit crimes - but very horrific and heinous ones at that.

Or she could be:

malignant narcissist

severe unstable borderline

severe unstable histrionic

Or a combination of all. JMHO

If it was the company vehicle and they were not staying "at the house", no one would be any wiser.

I'm reading and responding as I go, so I'm still back a page...but I see we're heading down the road on the same train of thought. Do I think this is what explains the pillows, toothbrushes, passports, etc.? I have no earthly idea. But I'm willing to keep going down this road for a bit anyway.

I work in the corrections field, and ALL mail is opened and read before it is delivered to the inmate. And EB should thank her lucky stars that she is on lock back and not general population. She wouldn't survive one day there.

The 7th Circuit Federal Appeals Court recently ruled on this issue.

CONSTITUTIONAL LAW
Jail Mail from Attorney Must Be Opened in Inmate

Is the any evidence that she'll need one? I haven't seen one iota of evidence against her? So what that she wrote that note -- Where was he when she wrote it? Getting his beauty rest? Or at her elbow?

Paulette, we have seen very little in this case..at least officially, you are right...and I know for some the jury is still out on Adam..I'm not one of those..after teetering on him myself a couple of times..TRYING to keep an open mind..I believe that they BOTH are going to need to present a strong defense in the not too distant future.. I just can't imagine what it could possibly be other than going for broke w/an insanity defense of some sort. Are you thinking that AB is the only guilty party? the primary guilty party? (for lack of a better term).. I'm just curious! TIA!

Kinda

Like I'm only kinda PO'd at this letter and if its EB's I will have to really sit on my fingers and control my "tongue".

Like Z is kinda not like the 1000s of missing kids out there who aren't a big deal :banghead:

Like send me a picture, kinda hot . . .

The Hickory Police Department couldn’t confirm whether the letters are authentic. Deputy Chief Clyde Deal said Tuesday night that much of the information in the letters has been widely reported in media accounts and isn’t new to investigators.
Deal said officers plan to compare the letters with other samples of Elisa Baker’s writing. The letters will become part of the investigation, Deal said, but he’s unsure how important they are.

Playing devil's advocate (literally... lol)

What is she confessing to?
An accident and a panicked response to the death?
What kind of accident?
Is it one you can even attach negligence to?
and if you can't you charge her with what?
obstruction, already done.
abuse of a corpse?
she says he did it?

if the accident was negligent how do you prove it?
and who was responsible for her?

And if it was a negligent or abusive act, who delivered the blow?
You have his word against hers as the only eye witnesses and they both have major credibility issues. She admits she wrote the cover up note. He is on tape selling some BS story to a 911 operator in the same cover up.

This why I think he disposed of the body.
And she thinks he used the woodchipper because it would destroy any chance at showing cause of death. And he told her used it. That is why LE ripped that thing apart. But maybe he didn't use it, maybe he couldn't stomach it, so maybe there is a skull fracture out there to be found. Maybe.
