OMG just heard SM (speaking in past) talking about how lot of people just don't understand that cancer treatment can take other things away from you as well.

To hear that woman speak of Zahra's struggle . . .

just made me vomit a little bit in my mouth.

NG - ON THIS I can absolutely agree with you "this woman has a lot of explaning to do!" NG of SM, Elisa.

Was there a candlelight vigil tonight? If so, I'm curious to know if anyone reported AB showing up for it?

About the part I highlighted in your post nobodyspecial.

IIRC that was a statment made on the NG show, I did not hear it personally and I don't know in what context it was said or who said it.

I'm taking that one with a grain of salt the size of a mountain, until we get some clarification~ only because of the reason I outlined above. JMHO

Ahh, so it's still rumor at this point? Should I edit the post?

1 mllion ransom and these people rent their home and don't have a pot to pee in, sorry that is almost a joke.
What was this woman thinking when she wrote this note???

She addressed the note to Adam's boss who has more money than they do.

I guess she thought it made sense at the time.

Oh yes just like guns. Can get them on ebay too. I didn't get one when I found out they were illegal. I once sold a .22 in a pawn shop no questions asked. It was mine that my ex husband bought for me and I wanted to get rid of it. I was so shocked.

NC law on tasers, just for everyone to note:

North Carolina: Legal w/ restrictions§ 14-269. Carrying concealed weapons

(a) It shall be unlawful for any person willfully and intentionally to carry concealed about his person any bowie knife, dirk, dagger, slung shot, loaded cane, metallic knuckles, razor, shurikin, stun gun, or other deadly weapon of like kind, except when the person is on the person's own premises.

(b) This prohibition shall not apply to the following persons:

(1) Officers and enlisted personnel of the armed forces of the United States when in discharge of their official duties as such and acting under orders requiring them to carry arms and weapons;

(2) Civil and law enforcement officers of the United States while in the discharge of their official duties;

(3) Officers and soldiers of the militia and the national guard when called into actual service;

(4) Officers of the State, or of any county, city, or town, charged with the execution of the laws of the State, when acting in the discharge of their official duties;

(5) Sworn law-enforcement officers, when off-duty, if:
a. Written regulations authorizing the carrying of concealed weapons have been filed with the clerk of superior court in the county where the law-enforcement unit is located by the sheriff or chief of police or other superior officer in charge; and

b. Such regulations specifically prohibit the carrying of concealed weapons while the officer is consuming or under the influence of alcoholic beverages.

(c) Any person violating the provisions of subsection (a) of this section shall be guilty of a Class 2 misdemeanor. Any person violating the provisions of subsection (a1) of this section shall be guilty of a Class 2 misdemeanor for the first offense. A second or subsequent offense is punishable as a Class I felony.

§ 14-269.2. Weapons on campus or other educational property

(b) It shall be a Class I felony for any person to possess or carry, whether openly or concealed, any gun, rifle, pistol, or other firearm of any kind on educational property or to a curricular or extracurricular activity sponsored by a school. However, this subsection does not apply to a BB gun, stun gun, air rifle, or air pistol.

§ 14-415.1. Possession of firearms, etc., by felon prohibited

Notes: Subsection (a) encompasses a narrow range of guns, while G.S. 14-269.2(b) prohibits any gun, excluding only a BB gun, stun gun, air rifle, or air pistol.

" Charles Rotenberry, a friend of the family, called police after finding a glove in the bushes near the Baker’s backyard.

“It had a bad smell to it and there was just red goo all in it,” he says.

The search warrant says that some blood was recovered. "

someone asked earlier about the glove sorry if this has already been posted.

this poor child never had a chance IMO once she moved to the US - but who knows what she might have endured in AU-

LE actually came back yesterday while the Amber Alert was still out and switched it back. That was discussed her last night. I'm not sure the link for this info...can another sleuther confirm this for us? I think they placed the info on Zahra at 5 ft tall, 55 lbs (which I found odd that they changed it back....)

If correct was she starving her too? That in just inconceivable to me.

Naw I wouldn't worry about it :)

I just checked and the NG transcript for tonight hasn't been posted at the CNN site yet.

I'm just going to either rewatch NG or read the transcript. I think that'll clear it up for us? KWIM? :)

Actually that isn't necessarily true, it absolutely possible that God willing neither chipper is related to Zahra- how many fingers are lost to wood chippers? If the dogs can hit on bodies buried for years I would imagine they could hit on something that severed a finger or some other body part. We have been told that decomp begins almost immediately after death- wouldn't a finger no longer attached to a body do the same?

(yeah i know not likely- but possible)

Actually I think this is a pretty significant possibility. I don't imagine most wood chippers ever get what we'd think of as a "cleaning", i.e. insides all scrubbed down in a way that would be likely to remove all dog-detectable traces of a fingertip that had gone through. And a large wood chipper being used by a full-time business with multiple employees seems very likely to have gobbled at least a fingertip at some point in the past couple of years.

Sounds to me like there is an overabundance of evidence in this case. I don't think it will take long for LE to figure this one out.

I'm sure as his mother, she does not want to believe he had anything to do with this. And she may only be hearing what he is telling her.
So, I can see why she would say that.

I know, you're right...but I can't go through another "cindy antony denial fest".

I need to give myself a time out as I'm getting to that point.

Although he had 'other' unrelated outstanding warrants, the news outlets had reported LE said the father was cooperating so they weren't going to act on them.
Maybe its a tactic, if they arrest him, he'll lawyer up. He's talking. Look what he just said about his marriage.Time to distance himself.
Hope he keeps it up.

Hopefully they said to him cooperate and you won't get the DP

This story if horrifying. I've been reading about this for hours and I feel sick. Poor beautiful girl.

I agree. And the FBI and SBI is involved.
And, SM is already admitting to stuff. I hope she spills all before the drugs wear off. JMO

There was a vigil tonight.....I rode by slowly...thought about stopping....but got stared at by everyone there instead! probably around 25ish people. To the side of the house (small passage road behind a restaurant) were big flood lights and news crews hanging out.

Here's my thoughts on all this. I'll try to keep it somewhat "simplistic" and not too graphic - ya'll can think the details.

On the 2 chippers. I don't believe it was "started" at the house - more that it was "ended" at the house. They both drove to the work site and the large chipper was used. It was meesy, very ugly and didn't quite "do the job" they thought it would. So, they got shovels and filled both trunks (or the trunk of the sedan and the back of the Tahoe) with "the mulch". They brought it all home and then ran it through the second chipper which created a "mulch pile" in the backyard. Then the gasoline in the vehicle and set it all afire. (Maybe even some of Zahra's clothes and belongings were thrown in the fire.

This would put decomp and blood into both vehicles, on both woodchippers and in the burned mulch pile in the backyard and the mulch pile at the work site. Cadavar dogs would alert to all those.

I also believe there were probably so "HIGH" when they did this as that is the only way ANY human being could carry out such a horrific event without totally going completely insane. And yes, meth could make you that way.

I believe we'll get a lot more news tomorrow and prepare yourselves - its gonna be hard to take.

I believe it's either what you said, or...I can't believe I'm typing this. It's making me nauseated...They killed her, chopped her body up first, transported the separate pieces in the car, and put separate pieces in the chippers. The chippers didn't do it well enough for them, so they gathered gooey mulch, brought it home, and tried to burn the rest of her away.

Sick, just sick...OMG this poor girl...I am almost in tears that they did this at all to her, much less something so complicated and monstrous! I really hope she was dead before the first wood chipper...

I'm going to go catch up grades for my classes now and try not to think about this anymore tonight.

So was she intending to kidnap the boss's daughter? Or to make it look like they were also a victim of kidnapping? Why not leave a ransom note only for Zahra on the car and another one on the boss's car?
