Found Deceased ND - Andrew Sadek, 20, Wahpeton, 1 May 2014 *alledged undercover drug informant*

The parents of a missing North Dakota State College of Science student say they've hired a private investigator because the police investigation has gone cold.

Twenty-year-old Andrew Sadek left his dorm on May 1 and hasn't been seen since. Authorities days later issued an arrest warrant charging Sadek with two counts of delivery of a controlled substance.

Andrew Sadek's parents think he's alive, but scared.

The 20-year old Wahpeton college student has been missing since May 1. A felony warrant was issued for him a week after he disappeared, alleging he sold drugs to an informant. His mother, Tammy, says she and Andrew's father, John, didn't know he sold drugs, and didn't know he was under investigation.

I was hoping Andrew simply skipped town. : (

RIP

So was I. And gosh, I surely pray he didn't take his own life - IF that's what happened - over some petty weed charges.

There's never a good reason for a life to end, but a slap on the wrist charge like weed dealing...well, that'd break my heart.

I shouldn't speculate about his cause of death: It could easily be an accident, admittedly

I was looking at the map and Breckinridge, MN is very close and downstream on the Red River from the college in Whapeton. He didn't go far. In the last photo of Andrew leaving the dorm he had his head down and didn't look happy. He also had his backpack. If he took his own life I am wondering if he put weights in it? So, so sad. If only he could have just talked with someone. Maybe they could have helped him get through his problems. (I am assuming he did take his own life.)

And today, Valley News Team's Christina Craig reached out to Sadek's friends - after many months of unanswered questions, they're thankful Sadek's body has returned home, but also grieving the loss of a good friend.

"It's gonna be hard going on knowing that you're not gonna see that smile again, or hear his jokes or hear his laugh. It's gonna be kind of a missing piece," says friend, Justin Rippentrop.

This is incorrect; the Red River flows north. At any rate, he didn't go far given how long he was gone.

"Numb, we're numb, empty and numb," said Tammy Sadek. "I don't know if it's really sank in yet that he's gone"...

It's been a struggle. Their eldest son Nick died at the young age of 18 in a train accident less than 10 years ago. Now it seems history is repeating itself. "One parent shouldn't have to bury one child, let alone two, the only two," Tammy told us.

While Andrew's body has returned home, his death is still a mystery. Family members have many unanswered questions and are still awaiting what officials rule the cause of death.

http://www.kmot.com/story/26353944/andrew-sadek-autopsy-report-released

The North Dakota State College of Science Campus Police Department has released the final autopsy report regarding the death of Andrew Sadek.

The medical examiner ruled that Sadek died from a gunshot wound to the head but the manner of death has been ruled as undetermined. The toxicology drug screen came back negative...

Because the manner of death has been ruled as undetermined, the Sadek case will continue to be handled as an open investigation, and an ongoing search for the weapon continues.

Thank you Okie for the update. This is so sad for all involved. I do hope that the family and the others follow up to find those responsible. Maybe the State can be brought in to help find out.

It seems quite unlikely that a person could self-inflict a gunshot into his own head and end up in the river without a gun being found at the point of entry. That says homicide, to me! I'm not even sure of any other explanation, other than homicide. No good!!

http://www.valleynewslive.com/story/26373178/tammy-sadek-says-her-son-was-murdered

The mother of North Dakota State College of Science student Andrew Sadek is speaking out about her son's death and calling out SEMCA, the Southeast Multi-County Agency Narcotics Task Force. In an interview with Valley News Live on Tuesday, Sadek spoke openly about the fact that she believes her son was pressured by SEMCA and, ultimately, murdered...

Andrew's mother, Tammy, tells Valley News Live her son was working with SEMCA at the time of his disappearance. She says she believes SEMCA pressures kids into working with them and she believes that may have played a role in his death...

"There's no evidence of suicide. He had excellent grades, he had plans for the weekend. He had no reason to commit suicide. His backpack was weighted down and he was thrown in the river," Tammy said.
