Search Continues For Missing Beatrice Man

Sergeant Jay Murphy says officers continue to check out information or any leads called into the police department. He says police do not know where he might be.

A Beatrice Police Investigator earlier said Parker was with his brother around June 1st. The pair went separate ways, and Edward Parker hasn’t been seen since that time.

To those of you who are interested in the search for Ed Parker, we have searched the river by boat, on foot and with a drone. We have pinged his phone and it indicates it it off. We have checked with any and all friends he may have had. He is entered into the National Computer Base so if he is contacted by Law Enforcement we will be alerted. We will be searching tomorrow morning with specially trained dogs as well. If you have any additional new information we ask that you call 402-223-4080.

On a Beatrice Police Facebook post, the department said officers have searched the Big Blue River by boat, on foot and with a drone. Police pinged Parker’s cell phone and it indicated it is off.

Friends of missing Beatrice man say they won't stop searching

Friends describe Parker as the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to anyone. He loves the Huskers and Oakland Raiders football team. After his mother died, he became a caretaker for his brother.

"It's not like him to just not talk to Andy or tell him where he's going," said family friend Faith Knowles. "I just have a bad feeling. Something isn't right. He wouldn't just not talk to us. He wouldn't see all this missing person stuff and not let us know he's okay. I have a bad feeling."

A Beatrice man who has gone missing for several weeks now, is raising concerns that he may have met with foul play. Police Chief Bruce Lang says investigators continue to look for Edward Parker.

I want to thank everyone for their support I hope their are still people out there who haven't given up an are still actively looking for him I have been just so lost without my big brother I know it may seem as if there is no hope but he's still out there somewhere an I can't lose hope that he may Still be out there alive because that would be a sign of me giving up an I know my brother would never ever give up on me just like I will never give up on him so to all those who knew an loved my brother an to those who cared enough to post pray search an give words of encouragement plz plz do not Forget Him he has done so many wonderful things for others even if it caused him to suffer he still would do it just so the other person wouldn't have to that's kinda person my brother was he's had so many people do him so wrong after he helped them out an he still never ever once lost his faith in people an gave up on them he would done it again over just to help them an never once ever regretted it An that's how I remember my brother he had so much love in his heart an I love that he never once gave up on people so plz do not give up on him either Right now is when he needs everyone the most thank you

Unidentified remains found in Beatrice: Discovery of apparent human skeletal remains

BEATRICE, Neb. – The cellphone, hat and keys of a missing Beatrice man were found near skeletal remains in a rural area south of Beatrice, according to the Gage County Sheriff’s Office.
Gage County investigators confirmed to 1011 Now that the items found just off West Locust Road, near the remains, belonged to Edward Parker, who has been missing since June 1.

Remains Found South of Beatrice, Identified Through Autopsy

Gage County Attorney and Coroner, Roger Harris and Gage County Sheriff, Millard “Gus” Gustafson, said Monday that the skeletal remains found have been positively identified as those of Edward Parker.
