Sramek has a tattoo on her left shoulder of a feather with the letters "FLY". She also has a tattoo on her right ankle of a tribal sun in red ink. Sramek has multiple scars on her body to include a rectangular scar on the back of her right shoulder; a small square-shaped scar in the middle of her upper forehead; scarring on one of her ankles and shin from a bike pedal; scars from the chicken pox on her face; a scar on her left hand at the bottom of her thumb and forefinger; and cuts on her arm.

On April 20, 2019, Sunny Sramek left from Trenton, Nebraska, with a male individual, allegedly for a trip to Omaha, Nebraska, but has not been heard from since. Sramek was last seen wearing denim shorts and a black tank top and also had in her possession a pair of jeans and a hoodie. Sramek was last seen in a 2004 white Ford Explorer bearing Iowa license plate HGJ341.

Would it have anything to do with age requirements? Do people have to be 18 to enter? If so, did she have ID to prove it? Or do you have to be 21 y/o to enter the casino? Maybe that's why she didn't go in... Or is this man telling the truth? Did he tell her he'd be in there for "a few minutes" and she got bored or hungry or needed a bathroom trip? Did she exit the car and get lost? Diabetic (or other condition) and needed her meds?
Did she exit the car and...something bad happened?
Did she stay in the car and something bad happened later?
So many possibilities... hoping for a good outcome for this young woman.

In newer reports, they stopped at a casino that had a gas station? And they stopped between 9pm-12am sometime. NOT that he went and spent 3 hrs at the casino and she just sat in the car. It appears he quick went to pay for gas and she took off... allegedly.

I am from the area and have been to that particular casino many times. I can confirm there is no gas station connected to the casino. I have only been carded maybe 2x at the casino however it is very small and they do remember their customers. I honestly am not sure if they have cameras but my guess is they more than likely do because all of the other casinos in the area do. I do know the parking lot is small as well, it’s almost entirely visible by the entrance, and it is most definitely surveyed by staff. I would find it incredibly hard to believe that no one saw anything in that parking lot and especially on a busier night. Therefore, I really question the validity of his story. I have a feeling that if he did stop at that particular casino, Sunny more than likely was not with him at this point (IMHO). However that is merely my opinion from visiting that casino many times.

Sunny Sramek, 18, was last seen on April 20, 2019, when she left with an unidentified male allegedly for a trip from Trenton, Nebraska, to Omaha, according to the FBI. She was in a 2004 white Ford Explorer bearing Iowa license plate HGJ341. Sunny’s relationship with the man is unclear, but a local NBC affiliate reports he is an “acquaintance” of hers.

A post on a family-run GoFundMe page states that the man called Sunny's mother on the night of April 20 to say “he had gone into the Prairie Flower Casino in Carter Lake, Iowa, and when he came out, Sunny was not in the vehicle.”

Loved ones are concerned for Sunny’s safety and are reaching out for support on the Find Sunny Sramek Facebook page. Sunny was last seen wearing denim shorts and a black tank top. It’s been so long, I hope the silence is because they’re working with evidence and leads rather than this case going cold!
I see this as foul play with an obvious suspect, but I’m hopeful there’s a trail of evidence..

Me too, Dre. I’m not sure if you live in the area but I can say I have not heard a word about this case for what seems to be a very long time. I remember when the local news was reporting it. I do not understand at all why some cases get way more media, LE, and public attention that others. A life is a life, no one (Life) is more meaningful or important than another. Not saying this case is going cold, but it feels that way with the silence. I am going to do a little research here with the local news sites and see if I can’t find anything recent.

As far as I can tell, this is still a very active case and the FBI continues to diligently work on the case. I do believe it has been requested by the FBI that no media or outside agencies be used for her case, not sure exactly what that means or entails...but I’m wondering if that is the reason for the silence. I am sure they don’t want anything in the case to be jeopardized. I pray the family will have closure soon tho.

Thank you @Dnp2be for checking into it and for the info. This young lady reminds me of myself at her age (many moons ago!) and from the first I saw this thread, this is a case that grabbed my heart. I hate that it has seemed to go cold, but your post gives me hope that it's really not, and they are working hard to find Sunny.

@Blue Ridge You’re very welcome! It’s coming up on a year since she was last seen. My heart aches for her loved ones and for her. This case sadly has no new updates that can or have been released as of lately however it’s still very active. The last I had heard as of yesterday, information has been given to authorities with the hopes that it will help in finding her. I don’t know however, if the information is new or not. I have faith that justice will be served in this case.
