That "transition" may only be public perception. This guy could be a traveling serial killer who supports himself by stealing.

This may also explain why the FBI is involved. The recent OWH article by reporter Paul Hammel cited "two law enforcement officials" as his source and it stated LE was investigating whether SL's death was a ritualistic slaying.

A ritualistic slaying is not always connected to the occult. It can indicate a serial sexual killer who leaves his signature.

In the off chance this was a ritual/serial murder, this was an amateur attempt.....skilled ritual killers rarely make so many mistakes. So, while he may have committed a ritual killing, it's more likely he is connected in some way to more professional ritual killers, and this may have been a poor attempt to copycat or "join the club". On that note, I love how all the references to ritual murder were scrubbed from the first thread and now the cops say they are looking at ritual murder.
Personally, I'm not sold on that, i feel it is more likely the body was dismembered for disposal.....but why wasn't it hidden?

I don't think anyone finds her out there in those marshes anytime soon if not for the digital footprint that led LE to search there.

I’m not sold that the cops even know what they are looking at tbh. Most crimes aren’t sensational and fantastic and so far I can’t see how it could be ritualistic personally. Makes zero sense with te known facts, few as they are

Dismemberment for disposal makes sense. Or dismemberment from animals in the area makes sense. Blood draining to try and remove ingested chemical evidence makes sense. I find that it was rather irresponsible for the OWH to publish. Especially without the ability to back up their reporting with a credible named source.

Just throwing my .02 into the ring here.

This recent development seems to paint a rather dark and disturbing picture of AT. I did a little poking around and a few things are clear to me:

1) AT moves around the country
2) AT was not as heavy earlier in 2017 as he is now
3) There was a big coin show in Lafayette, IN on 2/19/17

Brutal senselessness or senseless brutality, take your pick. It's a common theme. I hope the cops in Delphi are looking at this guy...even if just to look. BG (to me anyways) gives the appearance of someone in his late 40s / early 50s.

I'm afraid of this too. LE has computer programs that calculate facial characteristics. With or without weight gain. I have a feeling they can get a rather good feel for him as a suspect in the Delphi case even with the grainy footage they have supplied to the public. IE distance between eyes and down to tip of nose. etc.

I so badly want justice for those little girls. Heartbreaking.

I was thinking they could have let her out in the wilderness when she was on to them. Then maybe she got mauled to death by some wild animals.
Blood draining from bleeding out makes sense.. Like bear bobcats coyotes..

On the issue of the FBI's apparent heavy involvement in this case, at first I thought their involvement was possibly because of a cyber crime, with SL being lured online. I did a search of other cases of online luring that resulted in murder, and in those cases, I am not seeing FBI involvement but that they were handled by local LE.

I can't help but wonder whether the FBI's heavy involvement in this case might be because they either suspect, or know of other crimes that bear a resemblance to what happened to SL, either in terms of missing persons or bodies found and they may be trying to rule AT in or out as possibly having been involved in those cases.

Interstate commerce. Very simple.

Possibly. Not so sure, though. Not that they wouldn't have gone after them, but I do tend to think it provided LE with the ability to keep them in jail while they conclude their investigation on the SL case.

Also, it doesn't appear that LE has made requests for tips from the public through MSM since December 4th. Perhaps they have and I missed it.

There's plenty in this case to warrant FBI involvement. Cyber crimes. Counterfeiting. Interstate commerce. Throw in a homicide and you KNOW the feds are investigating this guy 6 ways to Sunday from coast to coast. Throw a dart at the board and you'll hit a federal agent.

This is the correct answer.

And post 654 is even better. They have been involved since local LE started searching in Wilbur. The connection to AT and BB happened very early in the investigation.

I'm sure LE, including the FBI found it quite interesting to hear that Aubrey Trail claimed, in his video, to run a legitimate business and that he was no longer with the "criminal activity". LOL

He also claimed that he is a horny old guy and is interested in women in their 20's and 30's. I do think there is more than an element of truth to that.

My question why would a 20 to 30 year old woman be interested in having sex with a over weight gross old guy that looks like him.. I don't get it at all, can't be just drugs? Can it..
