neighbors being questioned about handyman

It seems unlikely that a business owner, a former landlord, a number of neighbors AND LE would be in some sort of conspiracy to create a persona who doesn't exist. LE did have a PHOTO of the person and numerous witnesses knew of him and described him and knew his name.

YEAHBUT, who was FIRST to give LE the tip to find the lone handyman? Or should I say handymanny?

It sounds to me like this character was well known to LE before Lisa disappeared.

God forbid he is only a petty thief... because he makes for a real good scapegoat.

I don't think we know why LE focused on Jersey. I've seen interviews with the neighbors that mention LE asking about him.

It's a straight up question...if LE got a tip to check out the handyman...I wonder where they got the initial tip. KWIM? That might make a big difference as to whether chasing after the missing handyman is another red herring or wild goose chase.

Any true culprit might offer up an easy and "MIA" scapegoat.

Supposedly Jersey was a squatter in the vacant house LE searched. Not sure what brought them there. HTH

Norval C. Nichols, who lives about a block from Lisa’s home, said that police showed him a photograph last week of the homeless man and asked about any possible connection to the missing child. Nichols described the homeless man as being in his 20s, with brownish blond hair and a clean appearance. The man once was seen in the neighborhood riding a red bicycle, he said.

One thing is certain. LE has released few details about anyone who may end up being a significant part of Lisa's Abduction/Kidnapping/Disappearance. Most everything we know comes from the media following up with neighbors as to what they know and what LE asked them about. Then the media follows those leads and bits and pieces start trickling out.

Okay, now all we need to know is: Did the man, driving home from work, see a different guy skulk toward a house, around midnight, with the baby dressed only in a diaper or did he see "Jersey?"

What house did this guy with the diaper-only baby walk up to?

Could it have been the house across the street from DB/JI's, the Irwin home, or some other random house?

And, most importantly, was this baby awake?

I remember reading it was a street parallel to N. Lister.

Well, according at least to Jeremy, the FBI told him that everyone they'd included on their suspects list had been cleared. So, if we accept that, it's pretty clear the parents did not include Handyman Dude on their suspects list.

"The main problem I think that we're facing is that everybody (else) has an alibi," Irwin said. "I was at work. I've been cleared. All these other people we were worried about ... the FBI said they've been cleared.

There seems to be an inordinate amount of media misreporting on this case, which has made it difficult to separate fact from fiction.

Having said that, there also seems to be an inordinate amount of recirculating of rumors even AFTER the rumors have been disproved and/or the accurate info has been provided to dispel the rumors.

IMO, it's making it exceedingly difficult to follow this case & to comment on it.

Baby Lisa deserves better than this.

We had a thread called "Just the Facts. Even there some things had to be tossed as they were not facts...perhaps it is time to add the few more facts that have come in over the last three days.

To me it's strange they aren't showing a picture of this handyman or releasing his last name.

They have to know it. Supposedly he was the boyfriend of the woman who rented the home he was living in. Surely, if they can find her, they can find those things out.

The landlord knew he was living there with the woman who rented the property. I would think the landlord would have some personal info on her, usually in the form of a rental lease, or agreement,

KCPD sure plays it close to the vest.

so called Jersey man I think is the new ZANNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I doubt it.

"Jersey" is a real person.

"Jersey" has been ID'd by LE - photo & all - imagine that!

"Jersey", AFAIK, has never babysat for the family, whether in reality, or in anyone's imagination.

MOO

ETA: The continual comparisons between this case & Caylee's case are wearing thin, to be honest. IMO, there are no factual comparisons to be made. Personally, I'm not seeing any resemblance between baby Lisa's parents & KC, or between baby Lisa's disappearance & Caylee's disappearance.
