Marc Jaskulski, 36, from Dronten, has been missing since April 15, 2024. He was last seen around 2:15 p.m. on Monday on Langstraat in Dronten. He is believed to have left his home on Lancasterdreef by bicycle. Marc’s bicycle was found in the water near the Drontermeerdijk in July 2024.
Search Operations
Searches have been conducted multiple times in the Roggebotzand/Roggebotsebos forest area near Dronten. A signal from his phone was last picked up by a cell tower near the asylum seekers’ center (AZC) there. The police have also conducted searches, as have multiple search teams on several occasions. Police boats have also been used in the search. This includes lakes, waterways, and canals with bike paths running alongside them, throughout the entire municipality. A witness survey was also conducted in the Dronten forest. It was also possible that he had headed toward Kampen, where he worked as a mail carrier, just as he did in Zwolle. We searched there as well, but without success.
Description of Marc
Marc is 1.85 meters tall and has fair skin. He wears small glasses and two hearing aids. On the day he went missing, he was wearing a green jacket, gray sweatpants, and brown shoes. He may be traveling on a brown/gray Gazelle bicycle.
Crime
We had previously considered several scenarios. Marc might have become ill due to his kidney disease because he was out of medication. Another possibility was that he had been in an accident. But at this point, we believe Marc was the victim of a crime. Especially since our investigation reveals that on Monday afternoon, April 15, 2024, he had a meeting with someone at a meeting spot in the Roggebotsebos. His phone emitted a signal at the meeting spot and, 8 minutes later, a short distance further into the woods. It is possible that something happened between Marc and the person he was meeting, but other people may also have been involved.
Pink in Blue
We know that Marc was likely active in the LGBTIQ+ community. For example, he visited men’s meeting spots and was active on various dating sites. Shortly before his disappearance, he had a date arranged through the dating app Grindr.
