New Arrest Warrant For Lindsay Lohan

On that note, if I understand correctly, the "free ice cream card" problem wasn't that LL herself was using it, but that her mother had taken the card and assumed its privileges for herself and others.

This may say quite a bit about where LL gets some of her sense of entitlement.

If it were me I'd have called Carvel and asked them if I could donate it to a children's hospital. Any overages would be covered by me up to a certain amount. The fact that the mother not only didn't do that but she tried to scam Carvel is nauseating. I agree with you. This is the attitude she was raised with.

I watched the Court proceedings live and have since seen various video clips repeatedly. Maybe my hearing is going, but I was sure that Lindsay says during her tearful plea to the Judge, "I thought I was incompliant" in carrying out the terms of her probation. When I heard it the first time, I thought, "yeah, Lindsay, that's right, you were INcompliant" - meaning NOT compliant - although the usual term would be non-compliant. I've now heard that "scene" played over and over, and I still think that Lindsay says "incompliant". I'm sure she meant to say "in compliance". Freudian slip?

Also, I thought it was a little odd that the owners (Marshalls) of the private rehab facility originally balked at having to testify because they feared self-incrimination. I couldn't help wondering if there had been some type of under-the-table deal (money promised) to alter Ms. Lohan's attendance reports or other issues involving the Court orders. Perhaps this is a reason why she chose a "private" facility rather than a county-run rehab program. jmo

Look what I found. Lindsay got her idiotic twitter statements from her former attorney.

A representative for the seasoned defence attorney, who fought to keep the "Mean Girls" star out of jail during a daylong hearing Tuesday, said her earlier remarks about Lohan's sentence remained valid.

"Ms. Lohan and I are extremely disappointed in the sentence handed down by Judge (Marsha) Revel," Holley's statement had read. "We believe that the penalty is far harsher than what others would have received under similar circumstances.

"The reality is that Ms. Lohan, like most defendants, had to balance work commitments with court requirements. To be punished so severely for doing so, particularly in light of the fact that she substantially complied with each of her probationary conditions, is harsh and unfair," it said.

Lindsay Lohan Got A Raw Deal, Says Mother Dina: The MTV News Quote Of The Day

http://newsroom.mtv.com/2010/07/09/lindsay-lohan-mother-dina-lohan/

I swear Lilo needs to get a grip of her life but with enablers mooching off of her I don't think she will be able to do it.

I think her mother is one of the largest enablers around and that is sad. The girl needs a momma and she doesn't have one. She has a female that hangs out and parties with her even before she was legal (as in 21) to be out clubbing.

I honestly don't believe she ever stood a chance growing up and it is sad that the only people who may be able to help her are judges and jailers. You know... the people she isn't paying. :(

I'm sorry my post was so difficult for you to read. No doubt the fault lies in poor writing on my part.

I never remotely suggested that anyone should "approve" (your word) of Lohan's misbehavior. I never suggested she was being unfairly treated by the Court. (On the contrary, I think the judge has shown considerable patience.)

I think it's obvious Lohan is a deeply troubled young woman and I suggested such a person deserves sympathy--not absolution--from caring human beings.

And I further pointed out that while there are considerable perks to being a child star, there are also considerable pressures and problems. Pressures that probably aren't healthy for developing bodies and psyches.

It can't be a coincidence that so many child stars end up with substance abuse and/or legal problems, assuming they don't actually get themselves killed at a young age.

Finally, "pure as the driven snow" is an old expression, not to be taken literally. I hope this helps clear up the confusion.

respectfully bolded by me.

I was watching TV last night and I don't remember the show, I had just flipped through channels and settled on a talk show because there was nothing else on...they happened to be talking about LL.

They showed pics of LL from the past few years and there is was a steady but alarming change in her appearance.

I think you're right Nova, she not only has a drug/alcohol problem but it also appears she has some emotional problems at best and perhaps even some mental illness. JMHO.

I am worried for her because, I too, think that she is headed on a downward spiral and that could include death (as another poster stated).

It's just sad. Her behavior is so out of control and I'm worried that if she does have something else going on with her besides the addiction that it would impede her ability to not only find but to adhere to a program for sobriety.

:( I hate to see people, even if I do not know them personally, struggle with something like this. She is a beautiful young woman and talented as well. She does get best wishes from me.

All JMHO.

My issue, Nova, is her smirky, "don't you know who I am?" attitude. I guess she's young (however, in Hollywood terms, she's not), but perhaps it's time she got her stuff together and grew up. If she wanted help, I'd have sympathy for her. However, I see no evidence of that.

This is exactly her problem...Her "Don't you know who I am attitude". Until SHE figures out who she is she just won't get it!

Lindsay's Scared!!!

“She’s scared to death,” Dina said in the interview, which airs Friday. “She’s strong, but until someone faces something as devastating as that….we're going to have to see.”

Lohan said she’s trying to be positive, adding, “God willing it won’t happen at all.”

If it weren’t for Lindsay’s celebrity, she said, she wouldn’t even be in this position. “That’s what saddens me the most,” Lohan told ET. “Everything’s taken a step further because of her celebrity….If she weren’t, she wouldn’t be in this position and it wouldn’t be so hard on her. It certainly wouldn’t be televised; I think that’s disgusting that they would do that to her.”

While Lohan recognizes the poor judgment that led to Lindsay facing jail time, she said that the 24-year-old actress doesn't need rehab.

Wow!! No wonder that kids screwed up. Her mother closes her eyes to everything.

have zero sympathy for lindsey at all. she did all this to herself.......she thinks her life is so tough she should switch places with holley's other client jaycee dugard. then maybe she'll stop her little 'whoa is me im pathetic' act. time to grow up.

The new release of info about the meds she takes makes me sick and I have a huge problem with the kind of doctors that are giving her these meds! They need to do something to these docs NOW to avoid another Michael Jackson or Anna Nicole situation. These docs are drug dealers, IMO!

I think LL doctor shops, and these docs don't/didn't know about each other.

Robert Shapiro Quits Lindsay Lohan!

(snip)
It is unclear who will represent Lindsay tomorrow when she will turn herself in.

We do not know why Shapiro has left the case. He said publicly he would represent Lindsay only if she agreed to jail and followed his instructions.

More at link:
http://www.tmz.com/2010/07/19/robert-shapiro-lindsay-lohan-court-appeal-jail-quits-lawyer/

I knew when Kim Kardashian visited LL it was to get Robert Shapiro on LL's side (Shapiro is a family friend). In fact Kim partnered with Robert Shapiro,
an old work friend of her dad’s, last year to create the online shoe
hub. http://kimkardashian.celebuzz.com/tag/robert-shapiro/

So I think Shapiro felt somewhat obligated to represent LL -- until he found out what a mess she is (my words only).

For him to quit, is really not shocking, as LL probably didn't listen to his advice and only wants to get out of the jail sentence.

I wonder if LL will even show up tomorrow, or will she attempt an OD tonight -- leaving her in the hospital tomorrow. I certainly hope not. In any case, she's very alone right now, very alone --

MOO

Lindsay Lohan goes to jail — a few minutes late
July 20, 2010 | 9:30 am

6a00d8341c630a53ef0133f26b8391970b-pi

After a bit of bookkeeping, Lindsay Lohan was taken into custody Tuesday in Judge Marsha Revel's court in Beverly Hills.

Lohan, who was due at 8:30 a.m., left home with only a few minutes to spare — news helicopters following the two black SUVs as they made their way through traffic, of course — and walked into the courtroom with attorney Shawn Chapman Holley a little more than 10 minutes late.

Now, we just made a bigger deal of that than Revel did; the judge moved things along, first clarifying for the record that Robert Shapiro had spoken with the court on Monday to say he would not be representing the actress. Holley made the point that Shapiro had never been Lohan's attorney of record at any time.

Revel changed the turnaround time from jail to rehab from two days to 24 hours, and noted ...
Lilo-in-court ... that, because she didn't know "exactly how long the jail will keep her" and "I can only impose the sentence," it was impossible to set a specific date for a probation status report....
