New Book on JonBenet coming soon

  • #141
I just thought of something and came back online to post it.

A neighbor head a sound like metal scraping on concrete, which some speculated could have been the bsmt window grate. Maybe it was this piece of sheet metal. They may have moved something heavy to get at it?

I know someone will have a better idea. Surely there's no ritual that would involve beating her with something like that.

(Camper, so glad you're doing so well after such a surgery, like Bill Clinton and one of my cousins had. )

Okay, folks, what about this metal? Wasn't it Melody Stanton's husband, after she woke him about her hearing a scream?

I wont dispute what the Stanton's said they heard, but I would question what is the percentage in a piece of metal on the wine-cellar floor, since I do not think JonBenet was actually killed there, she was later relocated there, probably wrapped and carried in those blankets to minimise the transfer of forensic evidence.

So I would be looking elsewhere in the house or the basement for some reasonably heavy metal object, otherwise it would not be needed to scrape it on the floor or wall, whatever. So I would speculate this metal object was initially used to hide JonBenet's body?

Hmm...I can't think of any heavy metal object that could be used to hide a body. Maybe someone can.

Ellen, I remember with some clarity that with the digging I did way back then that there is an airport in Waterford, do you know what type of planes can be accomodated there?

IF the R's sometimes came to Waterford by their own lil plane, would not be a long flight. DO you know the distances involved from points involved C to W, PA to C etc.?

Open heart triple by pass surgery in 1999, was given five months to live, but I am still at it and feeling terrific. Three stents put in 3 weeks after hubby died in 2004, they lost the fourth one - it floated on to find a smaller home on the return trip to my heart. All veins were clear from the 99 surgery, heart doc said they had just missed this one. Long story (theres more) made short here, for lack of most folks interest, hee hee.

Hey if R's claimed JAR not in Waterford 'summer of 1996 when boat man claimed the offer was made to him', who knows as to whose plane going here or there had whomever in it. Flying over fer a boat race, lunch, snacks er whutever, then flying back to Charlevoix. Possibly IF they saw no one that knew them THAT day (boatman day) then 'they er JAR' were not there.

People who own private planes 'fly' em. Cooking up fun short and longer trips. People who have fancy bicycles ride em, cuz they like riding em. People with GREAT new cars drive em, cuz they like to. Same reasoning at play here. Its just that most of us donut have little airplanes of our own.

.
Yes, there is a very small airport in Waterford. It accomodates very small aircrafts. Our friends who live there with the boat also own a small aircraft which they use to fly to their home near Charlevoix. I don't know much about planes, but for any larger planes, they would have to fly into Detro Metro airport. I don't know the size of JR's plane.

-->>>There is a small airport here in Longmont, it accomodates the EXACT type of plane that R's plane was. That is a fact, the type and make of plane is named in DOI, and all of the speedier things that JR did to make his the fastest one of its kind at that time. The same plane make and model that was in use at our airport here was used for skydiving practice.

In sleuthing, I had thought since our airport was such a short distance from Boulder that it might have been used to fly in unobserved Dec '96. I cannot remember the verbage used for unmanned airport, it is a radio controlled automatic thingamajig deal, memory shot tonight too many chocolate easter eggs. But during the Christmas holiday it was unmanned here.

Well I don't think JonBenet was killed in the wine cellar either, but I think the perpetrators brought her body in there to hide it after they had unintentionally killed her. I have already posted this somewhere else that I think the perpetrators saw the sheet metal on the cellar floor and thought there might be a cavity underneath where they could hide the body more securely, so they dragged the sheet metal from its original position only to find there wasn't, so they dragged it back again and had to leave the body just on the floor.

I think the perpetrators hoped the body would remain hidden there until they could get John, Patsy and Burke out of the house, then they were going to come back and dump the body in the mountains, where they hoped it would remain for weeks or even months before someone found it. By then they hoped, that decomposition would hide all evidence of the prior sexual abuse and the investigation would go in the direction of trying to find a kidnapper who wanted $118,000 ransom money, but got scared and killed her instead.

--->>>I will comment on the blue part of your post. First of all you have two unknown perps (perpetrators), both of whom were going to come back at a later time to remove the body.

Why wouldn't they have just taken her THEN? Did your perps really really think the police would not search the house to MAKE sure she was not hiding/or that she might still be in the house - it was early in the morning still?

The olde saw that the perps were still in the house and did not want to walk through the tiny dusting of snow with their victim, cuz then their footie prints would ID them as the residents of the murder house. A real unidentified perp or perps would have not worried about a couple of footprints, when facing murder in the first degree.

Why write the note for $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ IF they did not want any? A three page ransom note took a lotta thinking and time to write. A short cryptic note would have been best cuz plenty of time to have left with the body AND AND get the $$$$$$$$$$$.

The whole scenario speaks of impaired youthful thinking, either demon alcohol or just a younger perp who did not drink. imop

I think there's another one, smaller than Metro but maybe larger than Waterford's. I've never seen either one. There was an exit off I-94 to City Airport, I seem to remember, when I was almost to Cadieux, E. Detroit, one time, going to a violin repair shop. I'm just about 3 miles from Metro Airport.

What a coincidence that your friends also go to Charlevoix, just like the R's.
I'm sure you've asked if they know them.

BTW,
Does anyone know if the book is out yet? Sorry if I missed it.

Actually, I'm sure they've had to have crossed paths because they both boat and fly. However, I have not brought it up with them. We spend time up at their Boyne house (a hop, skiip and a jump from Charlevoix) every year, but we didn't go this year because their parents weren't in good health. One of my favorite things to do is to take the car over the little lake on the old ferry. I just love stuff like that. I wonder how many times they have taken their car on that exact ferry.I can't wait to see them again and ask. The last time we got together, I was all over the Laci Peterson case and they were asking me questions because I came from California, close to where all of that happened. By the time I got really interested in JBR, we haven't seen them recently. However, I'm sure we'll get together this summer. And, every October, we go to the Farmer's Market and Craft Fair in Charlevoix with them. We also visit the glass-blowing store-one of my favorites. I have now looked up their new address and I want to drive by their new house when we go back to Charlevoix. Curiosity killed the cat.

Ellen was it you who said your friends live in Waterford? I am betting that the Waterford newspaper archives would be a great start to finding a story about 'boatman', ya think?

Just troop on in to the newspaper office, find a friendly person to 'look-it-up'. OR more quietly ask if they have past issues on microfiche. They just might have past issues on microfiche reader so a person could do it surrepticiously sp?.

A phone call to the (do they have more than one daily paper or a weekly paper) paper/s and merely ask if they have past issues in archives or on microfiche?

Do they have The Observer, a weekly suburbs paper, that far out?

Henry Ford Community College library in Dearborn has the two Detroit newspapers on microfilm, probably not any Oakland County papers. Oakland U. maybe?

Camper, I'm guessing there were at four present at the time of her murder. I think two of them left immediately, one was GM carrying stun gun and an unknown other carrying the baseball bat, leaving only two to deal with the aftermath. I think these two were Santa and CG and I think they were in total panic mode. I think they were unable to take her away there and then because neither had a car. I think Santa had been driven there by CW who had left earlier and CG had arrived on foot. I think that immediately after the murder they rang FW and asked for his advice. I think that FW came up with the idea of JonBenet having been the victim of a kidnapping. I think he told them to clean up all evidence of the sexual abuse session that had taken place and to hide the body and that he would get Patsy to write a ransom note. I think it was Santa who 'lovingly' wrapped the body of his 'little angel' in the blanket and that it was CG who left the unidentified palm print on the cellar door. I think FW more or less dictated the first part of the ransom note to Patsy, including the ransom amount of $118,000 which he reasoned could be used to implicate an employee of Access Graphics who might have known about John's bonus payment. I think he left Patsy with instructions to complete the note, telling her to make sure that she included threats that would ensure that John would not call the police. I think he told Patsy that she must 'find' the note first thing in the morning, call him and P, and that they would come over immediately and take care of things. I think FW had a contact in the BPD, namely JE, who would do what he was told by FW. I think JE did do exactly what he was told, which was why no detective arrived until 2 1/2 hours after the 911 call, and even then it was only one who whose training was in a totally inappropriate area, which was why the FBI were kept at bay even though they should have been called for the kidnapping it supposedly was, and which was why the focus of the investigation was always the Ramseys the whole time the BPD was in charge.

Welllll, your idea would make an interesting movie plot, but I can't wrap my head around it.

The palm print was identified as I recall, from an actual picture of the person whose hand was ON the door. A female relative of PR's, belonged to the HAND. My memory is going down hill for the name of the person.

================
Anyone reading here remember what type of heart surgery Santa had? OR the date he had it?

Another thingie, I would like to know IF and OR when PR knew of the criminal activity that involved Mr and Mrs Santas daughter basement deal - that was sort of a copy cat re do of JonBenets murder????

Early morning the day AFTER Christmas would appear to be the perfect timing for LE to be caught with their staff down.

Someone refresh my memory, was it John Eller who told the FBI, something to the effect, 'We can handle this.'

Not to change the subject, but is there still a book coming. I'm totally out of the loop at this point. Sorry-wasn't motivated to go back and research Waterford and the lake. Have been busy.

Steve Thomas says it was Melinda's in his book, but I can't find which page that was right now. Actually he says there were three palm prints on that door, which the killer closed and locked with the wood block on a peg that was there. One of the palm prints was Melinda's, and the other two belonged to Patsy Ramsey.
