I’ve been following this as a local resident since the news started popping up, it seems to be catching more steam and I wanted to see what you guys here think.

(Archive)

Here’s a quick breakdown of what we know so far (all from March–April 2025):
  • New Haven, CT (March 21) – Remains identified as Denise Leary, 59, mother of two, who was previously reported missing.
  • Norwalk, CT (March 6) – Paige Fannon, 35, from West Islip, NY, found in the Norwalk River following heavy rainfall.
  • Killingly, CT (April 9) – Remains confirmed but not yet identified.
  • Groton, CT – No ID yet. Found at Colonel Ledyard Cemetery inside of a suitcase next to bus stop. Adult female between the ages of 40 and 60.
  • Framingham & Plymouth, MA – Human remains discovered (unclear if connected).
  • Foster, RI – Also under investigation, details sparse.
Connecticut State Police have officially said there’s “no information at this time suggesting any connection” between these cases and that there’s “no known threat to the public.” Still, it’s hard not to notice the cluster, not just geographically, but in timing. We’ve got at least three confirmed identifications, with others still pending.

There are some similarities in the locations (wooded, rural, or near water), and there’s a lot of speculation about whether these are just individual cases or something more coordinated.

So I wanted to bring this here.

Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts and dig deeper into the timelines, geography, and backgrounds of the victims. It’s early, but we all know how fast these stories can evolve.

I looked at the three photos [in the article cited above "New England serial killer..." of the women whose remains they have found so far, and I see some facial similarities, in my opinion only, perhaps a type? {sorry I accidentally posted a blank comment above]...

BBM. Most of those towns do not fit the "wealthy coastal enclave" description.

Geographically, it is not a cluster. Those towns spread from Western CT to RI to the Boston area.

Timewise, we did just get to spring. The winter had snow. Groton body was there a while.

That is most of New England. New Haven, Groton, the Killingly locations where remains were found are not rural, woodsy- map them if you don't believe this. More like working class neighborhoods. Framingham was close to the Mass PIke.

Update
Investigation stepping up, serial killer speculation still in the news cycle despite police claiming it’s not connected. What do you guys think?

GROTON, Conn. (WFSB) - A police investigation is taking place in Groton.

The City of Groton Police Department says an investigation is taking place on Allen Street.

Major crimes and detectives are processing the scene.

At this time, police say they do not know if anything at the site is related to any ongoing investigation.

Recently, Multiple sets of human remains have been found around New England, including in Connecticut.

Facial similarities?

This topic interests me having lived through the Boston Strangler days.
Seems like others are thinking the same thing.

"Fears are mounting
that a serial killer is stalking quaint New England towns
after the remains of three women were found in the span of six weeks.

Several other sets of unidentified remains have also been located in New England towns during a similar time period."

The Medical Examiner hasn't even listed the cause of death on some of these. Not always but often this is a de facto response to not scare the public.

Also you have have bodies in multiple jurisdictions which means multiple medical examiners. In my opinion this will be interesting to follow.

The family of the women found in RI has asked that the speculation about her being the victim of a serial killer stop.

Please do not mention her in this thread.

Hopefully these cases come to a resolution soon

I think people have gotten wayyyy ahead of themselves.

I don't think this is an abnormal about of human remains to find as the weather gets warmer. People are out and about outdoors more this time of year

Hi Everyone,
Since mainstream media outlets are reporting this theory, we can continue to discuss this possibility.
Please do not bring over random social media posts or name random people as suspects. We do not want speculation to get out of hand.
Thank you,
Tricia

Apparently Google street view isn’t an approved source (sorry mods) so I cannot share a photo of where the body was found so I’ll just have to explain it until MSM releases something

The body in Groton CT was found in a suitcase outside of Colonel Ledyard Cemetery. It was left next to a trash can at an unmarked bus stop. This to me suggests that this body was dumped in a way that was extremely premeditated and thought through. The location of the body (outside the cemetery) seems to me to be a way to be ceremonial or almost a form of ‘respect’ but I don’t know I’m just theorizing. What do you guys think?

Is too early to know if all the cases are related. Cases like these could take years before investigators can connect the cases but is good that social media is all over it. Social media helps keeping the cases alive.

Woman SHOULD BE aware of their surrounding,
