New Lawyer appears - Debra Ferwerda

Sometimes I wonder if the State politely asks that the media doesn't blow these things up. Possibly reminding them that this is about Caylee and to allow them to do their jobs. Some things really are meant for trial and I think DC's deposition being done less than 6 weeks before the trial is one of these things that needed to be held close to the vest until the right time.

Think about it... if DC reveals some incriminating evidence about the Anthony's knowing where Caylee's remains were... everyone is going to be screaming that they be arrested and they don't need that to happen so close to trial.

They need to focus on Casey's trial right now. They don't need to have a bunch of angry people demanding that more arrests need to be made.

That's the best I can come up with? Other than that, I have no idea?

I'm thinking the State has already had those charges written up and sitting in a nice folder just waiting to use them. And if based on DC's testimony it shows the Anthony's did anything untoward - it would be pretty easy to arrest them, charge them and let them out on bail. Their trials would not at this point happen before ICA's trial anyhow. And we might actually get some actual truth out of them when they testify at ICA's trial. :waitasec:

Well that's my inner life fantasy!

Did anyone hear on TruTV another lawyer, a Jennifer Barringer (?) state she was coming on board as well for the ICA defense team?

Barringer is also a jury consultant, that was her role in the Spector trial if I'm remembering correctly.

And wasn't the DT told they could not have a separate jury consultant?

think they can have one, just can't PAY for one.....could be wrong but that is how I remember it...they were going over potential costs for JAC and defense---:waitasec:

Dominic Casey's deposition is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. Monday.

Various reports have named a psychic, Lee Anthony and Dominic Casey's daughter as possibilities of person's he could of been on the phone with while searching searching the same location Caylee's remains were eventually found.

Before the weekend, a local attorney signed onto the case late Friday to represent the private investigator.

Later this week We may learn about a highly irregular move by the judge -- court on a Saturday. It could happen this week.

I hope this comes out right away...the only thing I can think of they may hold it up is if Baez and DC's atty. team up to shout down/prevent things DC says under the guise of work product, even when it is not work product. The state can tell DC to answer until they are blue in the face, if his lawyer tells him not to answer, it will have to go to the judge, I assume, just as in the civil depos.
