New leads in search for missing baby Lisa Irwin

Yes, don't talk to the cops.

If you don't want your missing baby found.

Ashley Irwin says they are talking to FBI.

Yes, I know, it's Ashley Irwin so it must be a lie.

Well, if you say so...

I didn't.

Is Ashley Irwin saying that they've agreed to be interviewed face to face by FBI investigators, separately? When did this happen?

Nina posted some stuff from FB on a Q&A session and one of the questions was about contact with LE and AI said that the parents have been in regular contact with FBI, less with local LE. Take it for what it's worth. Nothing about separate though.

Fire the LE source who is leaking information??? Good Grief! For over a hundred years that is the way we get our news. Reporters used to have LE as the source. D#$$n Defense attorneys got into that also. These attorneys are the reason LE has to have a specific Law Enforcement Officer to talk to the public. They have to learn lawyer speak and, as of now, can't confirm anything when a suspect is not arrested. They have to use vague terminology, because God forbid, if they didn't, they would have a lawsuit on their hands.

Some attorneys love to go after LE. LE are like sitting ducks. One wrong or misplaced word and they are sued by an attorney.

....It never ceases to amaze me how so many people in the public arena love to go after Law Enforcement..

Lawyers are known to cleverly :couch: their comments so that the public - and LE - can't figure out what the he!! they're really saying. Then, the lawyers hide behind their carefully :couch: statements, and their clients are hiding right there with them. LE fears being ambushed if they utter one wrong syllable, so they :couch: their public comments, too. Forget about an elephant in the room: There are too many :couch: jmo

hehehehe my 2 cents about this is:

the attorney is trying to poke around to see if LE will give up any information as to where they are in the investigation. LE is too smart to fall for this JB tactic. lol

This is absolutely the most likely scenario. LE is letting them sweat, leaving them in the dark. This is their ploy to get LE to say anything at all by goading them into making a response so they can plan their next move.

The title of this thread is very misleading, IMO...

I heard human remains found in the Northland and my heart sank. I heard Capt. Steve Young sent to scene. My heart sank even more.

But boots were found nearby so wouldn't expect these to be baby remains........so sorry for this person's family and hoping for a good, positive resolution to baby Lisa's case very soon!

Bones found in a wooded area. This is south of the river and east of the highway 35 bridge.

OK if there are bones inside of the boots than it isn`t Lisa. Poor guy.

Attorneys for famed maniac Charles Manson reported Wednesday that there are new leads in the decades old case. "We are really super excited," attorney Jim Sharky said, "These exciting new leads will totally help exonerate my client!"

When asked for comment, police chief Paul Reynolds said, "What?"

I agree with the bolded statement. :floorlaugh:

So, I guess that if the parents (through their attorneys) say about once every 3 months that there is a "promising lead," that will keep the heat off of them longer until eventually it is a cold case? Pathetic...and makes my stomach turn!

I don't think that LE is going to 'take the heat off' of them just because they (through their attorneys) say there is a new lead...seriously!

Capt. Young is a spokesman for the department. His job is to deal with the media. He is not a detective. He is not investigating this or any case. It would not be his job to follow up on any tips in this case. It would be his job to deal with the media on this case.

That's what I thought too ~ and if I'm not mistaken, he has given info to the public that was not quite updated.

IMO - just because the leads are fewer in quantity and quality does not mean there isn't a 'very promising' one....not to mention LE might not want that info out there as of yet.

Wasn't the last comment received from Deborah Bradley when asked by a reporter on why they would not speak with them, was that they were "grieving"?

I can't remember another comment after that one.

"Grieving" isn't reserved for death! I'd be grieving too if my baby were missing.

on Ashley Irwin's facebook, she posted the link to this article. She commented (paraphrased): This has been in the works for weeks. I don't know how soon we will have information we can release. Thank you for the prayers.

Hopefully, this will be a tip about a person who wanted a baby and will lead to a live Baby Lisa.

She's just such a precious angel. I stopped reading this forum because it seemed hopeless that she would be found alive, or even at the very minimum that this mystery would ever be solved.

Now, with Ashley's comments, it seems hopeful that the best outcome is possible - that she will soon be reunited with her family.

The fact that this VERY tightlipped LE isn't saying "uh, I'm not quite sure what the lawyer is talking about" indicates to me that they know darn well what he's talking about, and as always don't want to comment.
