You're absolutely right about that. I wonder how that would work. Because it's on federal land (if, for argument's sake, it's her), could they do this in federal court?

Utah has the death penalty, and they use it (even though it takes forever, like everywhere but Texas).

They "could" if they choose. A Fed. Judge (for that jurisdiction) could make that decision IF this is Susan. Way off in the future, but it may happen.

I gave the example for the A.P Murrah Bldg. (OK) bombing of a FEDERAL building and that stayed in Fed. Court for trial and sentencing. It's the most recent case that most would remember. RIP my Ok friends. The FEDS also have the death penalty. IF this is Susan, I would like to see the trial moved out of Utah and to any other of our 49 states for trial.

Wondering the same. I thought they had found actual remains (bones)...but this could be an article of clothing from a decomposed person, the article or weapon used in a homocide, a blanket or plastic, etc.

That's a good point too, but then why would the anthropologist say the remains are recent..... I guess we won't have any real answers until they decide to tell us.... prayers to her family...

I hope to God LE is keeping a good close eye on those children, or better yet, that they can find some reason to have CPS remove them on an emergency basis. I don't feel good at all about the children being with Josh or his father right now.

I have never felt good about those two innocent boys being with those freakazoids the Powell's. I pray they remove them soon. They will need much therapy to overcome the lies the Powells have told them about their mother and her disappearance, and the lies the Powells told them about their "Cox grandparents" as well.

If it's not visible to the human eye then it has to be "dust" of some sort. Whether it's natural or burned. I said burned because 2 years is not a long time to have remains turned to dust.

Why would they need to call in an anthropologist if they haven't seen bones yet? I'm assuming they have and that's how they know it's recent (in the last 10 years). If not, how would the anthro. know that it was recent from just looking at the soil.

ME talking to NG says there are many ways to determine if remains are M or Female. Those things can identify a victim quickly.

SP upset diaries were taken.....I guess so! The slimeball....
