New Searches based ON CASEY Sightings. JB advises Casey to reveal nothing

I guess the option of him wanting out or asking for a deal isn't out of the question.

(Gizzy, we both posted exactly the same thing! LOL I changed mine since you posted first.)
As they say, great minds. You should have left it. This train needs to slow down a little and look at what might really be happening.

Please clarify--how can setting up for a mistrial occur if the trial for neglect (etc) let alone murder has not yet begun?:waitasec::confused:

I'm sure he knows there will be a murder trial. That's a given.

I see no win for him clearing her. The best he can do is start playing his cards toward a mistrial now. He's already put it in motion by planting the idea that DNA and forensics could possibly be tampered with.

i think baez is a lousy atty

MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

this shouldnt get me banned - i dont think

Does anyone else remember that a guy had also seen something similar? I know that I've read a very similar tip to this one that a guy was explaining and that he'd seen a woman by the side of the road (possibly with a shovel?) and that it had stuck out in his mind because he jokingly made a mental note of it in case he later heard about a murder. Does anyone else remember that???

Yes, I do remember these. I think they were back in the general discussion threads when we had them at the begining.

Why would this give a judge a reason to dismiss him? I don't understand - wouldn't he need to ask to be dismissed? I'm not asking facetiously...I really don't understand! :)

My guess is that JB HAS asked the judge to be withdrawn as counsel and the judge said, "No way, Jose." This is not going to be easy to find another attorney to pick up. If you just "decide" you don't want to represent a client anymore, it's not going to fly. I think the judge said, "no" and JB decided to give the court a REASON to take him off the case. He may get some no big deal sanction by the Bar Assoc. but that's all in a day's work for criminal defense attys. Getting sued for all you're worth or disbarred is not a good ending for JB. And you KNOW how those Anthonys are...

:woohoo:

I am _very_ surprised JB would admit that, wonder if he has heard that the forensics has confirmed the demise of Caylee?, they have remains? or, Kobi has appraised him that they are on very shaky ground? Seek deal....

If I was DA I'd play the heck out of Caylee is alive and the many sightings, etc -- unless that avenue is now officially closed!!

:woohoo:

The detectives said directly today that Caylee is deceased and JB just about said it himself..so yeah, I would say that avenue is pretty much closed

We are not allowed on that thread with any information contrary to her being alive. :X

There is other information there, however that information doesn't seem to have anything to do with her being alive.

Did anybody else pick up on his slip in the video? He says that he doesnt want to give the prosecution any advantage that could put them, then corrected himself and said her, away for life.
Hmmm ......Interesting.

So, along with his misfiling of that claim (or whatever it is called) against further testing and today's whopper he seems to shining a very bright light on his client's guilt and his own incompetence--both times. Just sayin' Still blows my mind. : )

TY for the perspective.

I'm still confused. I hope that helped, it's only my perspective of what could be happening.

I haven't picked my chin off the floor yet.

TY, nnglass! I'm still not clear on how this Baez "boo-boo" could set up grounds for a mistrial though since nothing has started yet. Ditto for appeals.

Not for a mistrial. He wants out BEFORE the charges are even brought. He wants to withdraw.

OK. There's a minuscule chance this is a daring legal maneuver, i.e. make it "IMPOSSIBLE" for Casey to get a fair trial by implying that she's confessed to him and WHOOPS, he just let that slip out, but that is basically committing attorneycide. I don't think he would do that. JMO as always.

This is incorrect. JB as far as I know is not court appointed. If he was hired as a regular atty then he can quit based on alot of reasons. All he would have to do is turn over whatever he has to her new atty.

Interesting. Thanks for responding.

Yes, I caught that.

If I was facing these charges, guilty or not, I'd fire JB's butt sooo fast his head would SPIN.
You know what? I personally could care less what happens to Casey, but I was thinking the same thing a couple of days ago.
She needs a better attorney IMHO. JB is way over his head with this case.

I think he will stay in it and follow it through, whether she's found guilty or it's thrown out or for whatever reason she walks. There is too much money in it for him. Or at least he thinks there is.

At one point, didn't she say she would stay in jail if that meant protecting and finding her daughter?

Well, her wish can come true if she'll spill the beans...

Not in Texas. No way, no how. Of course this case is not in Texas so maybe Florida law is different.

Especially when an attorney is being paid by the client, the court won't let an attorney (here) withdraw without really good cause because it's terribly expensive to bring a new attorney up to speed on a complex or unpopular case. It can be seen as prejudicial to the defendant as well - when their attorney just up and quits.

I should've provided that "in Texas" caveat.

I know it won't cuz I went down the Bad Baez road awhile back and let's just say I finally got a chance to do a good house cleaning and tons of laundry.
