New Searches based ON CASEY Sightings. JB advises Casey to reveal nothing

KATHI BELICH, WFTV: Well, what we know is the woman was leaving work sometime between June 20th and June 28th near the Orlando airport, and she said she noticed a car that was like Casey`s, she later realized, that belonged -- she thought it belonged to a friend of hers, which is why it caught her attention. When she got closer to it, she saw some markings and some bumper stickers that she knew were not on her friend`s car, so she was relieved her friend wasn`t in trouble.

But as she drove away, she noticed someone slight of build with a baseball cap and some athletic-type wear walking out of the woods, and she thought it was odd because it`s not an area, she said, where anyone would be jogging or anything like that. Of course, that was before Caylee had been reported missing. After Caylee had been reported missing, she saw the car on the news and she saw Casey on the news, and she put two and two together and thought maybe that was Casey. So she told investigators about it, and they have searched that area.

GRACE: Kathi Belich, precisely, to the best you can tell us, where is the area?

BELICH: It is to the south of Orlando International Airport. It`s sort of a secluded road. Once again, not the same secluded road where they have searched in the past that we`ve already reported on. But it is sort of a secluded road. Even during the day when we were there, which is when this woman believed she saw possibly Casey, there was not a lot of traffic on that road.

GRACE: So let me get this straight, Kathi Belich, because the timing of her sighting is very, very important. We all know that as soon as little Caylee was reported missing, the next day, essentially, mom, Casey, went to jail. She was in jail for a period of time. So was the sighting reported after Caylee went missing, but she saw the incident before?

I'm not thinking of the shovel sighting dude. I haven't seen anything of when the women saw Casey come out of the woods but sounds to be credible enough that LE is taking that serious.

snipped

Agree that timing provided by AMSCOT manager could be bad memory or attempt to justify that the 3 days required by AMSCOT for towing was indeed met.

I have thought the same about the date given for when the car was left...justification for the three day requirement. Also, TL stated that he picked her up at Amscot on the 26th and that she definitely stayed the night before he picked her up at Amscot at his house. He goes on to say "whatever that date was". Discrepancy or cover up by one or both for sure.
From my reading of this thread it is posted that the witness that saw her with the shovel on the right of the road named the 27th as the date and the witness who saw her car in the median and spotted someone who looked like Casey coming from the woods named the week of 20th to the 27th as the date.

Well, that's what I get for listening to Nancy !!

:banghead:

I may be mistaken, but every record I have seen to date states he picked her up on the 27th. If this is wrong, then I hope we find out for sure. :bang:

I'm confused and also forget the date that TES pulled out. If this new info about the police searching areas in East Orange then wouldn't that say that TES really didn't find anything when they pulled out.

LEONARD PADILLA, BOUNTY HUNTER: Well, it`s easy enough, like Brooks said. You can start with the 18th, if you want, and you know that the car was at the house. On the 20th is when she probably was out of gas and her and Tony went and broke into the shed, which is also Friday night. And then you go to the next week, which is the 23rd. The 24th, the car was seen at the house by George. You go to the 25th and the 26th. The morning of the 27th, the car was out of gas, parked in the check cashing lot. So after that, you don`t -- you don`t look for the car.

http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0810/02/ng.01.html Even LP puts it around the 24th, imo.

This fits! If you go to the calendar and look at 6/21 and 22, there is no activity whatsoever on those two days. If she and Tony broke into the shed on the 20th for gas, then seen on the 24th by GA, the rest is ditching the car. I think she got rid of the body on the 21st or 22nd. Are there any pings on those dates from her phone even though she was not using it?

This is true.........it's exactly what Tim said it was. A temporary halt to the searches until the conditions improve. He couldn't lie to you if he had to.

Okay, I just reread TL's statement from the last set of documents and he never gave a date. He stated that it was during the week of the 22nd to the 28th but didn't remember which day for sure. He was sure that she spent the night prior to the pickup at Amscot though. The first set of documents doesn't contain a statement from TL regarding Amscot. I wonder where the 26th date came from.

Liltigress: I'm thinking that date is not the one we need to emphasize on here. 21st and 22nd of June. No activity right? Nothing for 2 days. This could have been when she was spotted by the person that turned in the tip about the car and seeing someone coming out of the woods. Only days in the entire calendar for June or July that are blank right up to the arrest. That is probably when she ditched the body. on the 24th when GA saw the car, it was the odor becoming worse and worse and she knew if he had gotten close enough to it, he would have known something was seriously wrong. Thus, the drama in the driveway with her father.

June calendar timeline: http://www.websleuths.com/forums/calendar.php?month=6&year=2008&c=4&do=displaymonth

July calendar timeline up until the arrest: http://www.websleuths.com/forums/calendar.php?month=7&year=2008&c=4&do=displaymonth

The date that she ran out of gas the first time was Friday the 20th per Caseys text msg to Amy about running out of gas two Fridays in a row. Tony stated that he took her to get the gas cans prior to the week of 22nd to 28th so that would make the important date the 21st.

I wouldn't pass over the 22nd at this point either. I wish we knew more about this tip that came in, like what time of day was she spotted and what day of the week.

Iirc, she began to tell (make excuses for) of the smell in the car to Amy on the 25th. IMO, she wouldn't bring attention to that smell if there were still a body in the car. No body in the car on the 24th because she most likely would not pull up to her parents house with it in the car also George's statement (which may or may not be true) implying that there was only gas cans in the trunk on that day. So, yes, the 21st is the day I think. Unless something happened on the 20th when Tony took her to get the gas cans.

Maybe I am missing something but I looked at her cell log and I see activity on her phone for both the 21st and 22nd.

And on the 24th, BB says he saw a green pick-up, small, pull the A's driveway. BB thought he heard Casey's voice while the truck was there and thought he may have seen Casey and an unidentified white male go into the garage together.

Acutally she's not maintaining anything. She hasn't hissed a word about Caylee or said she's innocent. The only things I remember her voicing are her concerns for herself and only herself.

Not true. If she hasn't confessed, she's implicitly claiming her innocence. When she blamed Zenaida, she said she was innocent. When she blamed kidnappers, she said she was innocent. But enough of these insinuations and Casey beating around the bush. Casey specifically said she was innocent of charges that she hasn't yet to be charged with in her interview with Det. Melich, just prior to her arrest.

Great! Can you post a link since the calendar doesn't reflect anything happening on those two days?

Sure he can. And he will have a co-counsel as well. How is a lawyer going to get experience until he tries a case? They have to start somewhere.

Nope. If it works the same in Florida, he can not represent her as lead attorney in a capital case.
