They're grief-stricken as well.

Does it include her side of the family?

This conflicts with the reports that she was helped into the ambulance on foot?
It suggests it was a failed murder suicide like I hypothesised earlier.

A pondering:

Are we witnessing (and engaging in (including me)) 'female privilege' here?

I mean, if Graham Dickason had done this instead, would we be still discussing mental illness, and hormones, and 'post paternal depression' / 'post paternal psychosis'?

Or would we be calling him a narcisist who decided that his children couldn't live without him, or who wanted to punish his wife via the kids, and discussing 'toxic masculinity'?

A victim of what?!!!

Mental illness?

I think it's more the case that women kill their kids when they are suffering from psychosis than for revenge or to punish someone, that's why people automatically suggest it in cases like this.
How many cases are there where women have killed all their kids out of spite?

Wasn't she overheard saying "what have I done".

yes there was one neighbour witness report of that.
however does that make any more sense with the mental illness hypothesis? can you be mentally ill enough to be homicidal one minute, and sane enough to be remorseful the next? and can't you be remourseful after doing something out of spite?

We'll see I guess or hear if she is diagnosed during trial.

Sometimes even a simple metabolic panel can help find something "off".

Walk around when you're magnesium is almost nill. It can cause you to lose your mind. Not suggesting it's the case here. Just thinking we have to wait.

Rare things. Perhaps like a pheo on your adrenal gland. You get flooded by cortisol. You're not right. Again as we discussed hormones. Until I was diagnosed even after two parathyroid removed. I was bat poop crazy. I'd be ready to fight full grown men on the street. It's like you're out of your body looking at yourself.

Never wanted to hurt a baby or child, but I don't have little ones. Echoing hormones are a powerful thing.

Yes I think definitely mental illness.
If she recovers she will spend the rest of her life living with this.
If her husband can forgive her,on some level, surely we can show some empathy, he knew the whole story.

Cannot empathize with a child killer. Nope. Nope. Nope.

I believe in empathy and compassion
for everyone; even people who do terrible things

i'm just wondering if women get more of it when it comes to filicide? and if so why?

and this is a horrific crime, and i'm struggling with the suggestion that she may face no accountability for it

i'm also unsure how much weight we should give to the forgiveness of her husband in terms of knowing the whole story
serial killers have groupies
parents protect their criminal children
etc etc
