A grand jury has indicted one of three men charged with stabbing an 18-year-old New Hampshire man to death and dumping his body in Maine.

Eighteen-year-old Tristan Wolusky of Rochester is charged with first- and second-degree murder and other counts in connection with the June 21 stabbing death of Aaron Wilkinson of Madbury.

A judge ruled on Tuesday that Tristan Wolusky, accused of murdering Madbury teen Aaron Wilkinson, will remain in the Strafford County House of Corrections until his trial begins...

It was revealed during Tuesday’s hearing that both Pinette and Tatum have agreed to plead guilty to second-degree murder in exchange for testifying against Wolusky. Pinette and Tatum are facing sentences of 30 years to life in prison. Both are currently being held without bail.

Tristan Wolusky, accused of murdering Madbury teen Aaron Wilkinson last summer, has been indicted on additional charges by a Strafford County Superior Court grand jury...

This month, Wolusky was also indicted on two counts of hindering apprehension or prosecution. According to the indictments, Wolusky delayed the apprehension of Zachary Pinette, 19, and Michael Tatum, 21, who were the alleged accomplices of Wilkinson's murder. The indictments state that Wolusky gave investigators a false account of what occurred the night of June 20 going into the morning of June 21, knowing that Pinette and/or Tatum were liable to be charged with Wilkinson's murder.

Wolusky was also indicted on an additional charge of conspiracy to commit robbery, which alleges that Wolusky, along with Pinette and/or Tatum, discussed stealing money and drugs from Wilkinson.

Sept 2015:

Prosecutors say the 18-year-old Wilkinson was stabbed 22 times on June 21, 2014, after he was lured outside, where Wolusky and accused murder accomplices Michael Tatum and Zachary Pinette were waiting with a machete and knives to rob him of drugs and money.

But in the end, prosecutors say, Wilkinson wound up dead, tossed into the trunk of a car, and driven to the side of a road in Lebanon, Maine, where his body was dumped and found the next day.

Tristan Wolusky testified that he’s not a killer and never grabbed a knife to join in a violent attack on Aaron Wilkinson at his first-degree murder trial Wednesday...

But while he repeatedly denied stabbing Wilkinson, Wolusky admitted that he put the teen in a chokehold and wrestled him to the ground as part of a poorly planned robbery to steal drugs and money from him shortly after midnight on June 21, 2014.

Prosecutors have portrayed Wolusky as the mastermind behind the robbery attempt that ended in Wilkinson’s murder.

Two others, Michael Tatum, 22, of Barrington, and Zachary Pinette, 20, of Springvale, Maine, admitted they used knives and a machete in the stabbing, and last week testified against Wolusky after pleading guilty to second-degree murder under an agreement with state prosecutors.

Several witnesses took the stand in Strafford County Superior Court throughout the day, including Annette Menot, who testified about how — in the hours before Wilkinson was murdered — she thought Wolusky was going to get her some painkillers after explaining that she needed medication following surgery...

Through a series of text messages sent that night, Menot inquired about whether they were seriously planning to get her some drugs.

A message sent from Wolusky’s phone to Menot at 2:16 a.m. on June 21, 2014, read: “No, he’s serious. We had something go wrong tonight that we had to get situated. We’re getting them right now.”

That message came a short time after Wilkinson was allegedly stabbed by the trio.

The text was followed by a flirtatious message sent from Wolusky’s phone about 15 minutes later that said, “You’re pretty attractive ”

[Maine’s former Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Margaret] Greenwald said four of the 22 stab wounds, to Wilkinson’s lungs, heart and kidney all were “potentially fatal.” Greenwald stated that three of the potentially fatal wounds could have been caused by the 7-inch Mossy Oak knife that belonged to Wolusky. She also concluded that the second knife allegedly used in the murder could have caused "many" of the wounds and that the machete could also have caused some of his larger wounds.

A neighbor of Wolusky's testified on Tuesday that she agreed to ask Tatum to change his testimony on Wolusky's behalf because she "was asked to by a friend."

Alexandria Wyant, 21, of Rochester, faces a charge of conspiracy to commit witness tampering, after the state reviewed recorded telephone conversations she had with Wolusky, and eventually Tatum...

Tatum takes the stand:

Tatum said he helped stab Wilkinson to death after the Madbury teen told him he didn't have a stash of drugs or money.

"I pulled out one of the knives and held it to his throat and told him if he didn't give it up, he'd get hurt," Tatum said about the moments before Wilkinson was killed on June 21, 2014...
Tatum said Wilkinson was able to escape from the trio's grips a second time.

"And I stabbed him," Tatum said.

While Wilkinson was face-down on the ground, he was stabbed in the back, skull and arms with two large knives. Pinette hit him in the legs with a machete, Tatum said.

Tatum said he directly observed Wolusky stabbing Wilkinson, a friend he played sports with, after he went to Pinette's car and popped the trunk...

Tatum, who is only 22-years-old, will serve 30 years to life in prison, he said. In exchange for a plea deal, he agreed to tell the truth at Wolusky's trial...

Pinette also took the witness stand Thursday. Assistant Attorney General Peter Hinckley asked him why it took him so long to admit he used a machete during Wilkinson's killing.

"I was ashamed to admit it," Pinette replied. He said he was worried that it would upset his mother.

After deliberating for about five hours, a Strafford County jury on Monday found Tristan Wolusky guilty of first-degree murder in last year's brutal stabbing death of Madbury teenager Aaron Wilkinson...

Jurors also found him guilty of several other charges, including falsifying physical evidence, conspiracy to commit robbery, hindering apprehension, witness tampering, and conspiracy to commit witness tampering...

Jurors had the option of considering a second-degree murder charge, which would have carried a sentence of up to life in prison.
