been looking at the maps for a while myself, refreshing my memory. Just going with the IF she left on her own accord. There does seem to be a bus stop very near where her phone last pinged. I'm sure this avenue will have been checked out.

ETA: Looking at the timetable, although it says it is effective from Oct 20th, I think it will be similar and unless I'm reading it wrong there is only one bus a day? In the early am? Scratch that then...

It's been my opinion, at least where I live, that powerlines and powerline trails are not the same, so from the beginning I have been of the opinion that the "powerline trail" refers to the trail that leads from Eagle's Way to the "powerline", intersects it and comes out on Eastman Road across from the retention pond behind Walmart. So that would be the dirt road from Eagle's way which is traced in Yellow on Hollye's Map.

Are these locations correct? I don't think I was ever sure where the power lines were before.

I've posted this video a few times. It's got good information, directly from law enforcement. It's the Nov 7th interview of FBI Kieran Ramsey.

In it he says that Abby was last seen by 2 witnesses on the power line trail.

He also says that her phone last pinged between the school and her home.

Okay, let me know if this shows what you're looking for.

Ah, yes - that is it. The power line...that I am calling power line trail......is the light green line a ways up from Eastman Rd....and I am now only pondering the part that goes from Walmart over to the retention pond. Even if she went to the end, that is near Redstone....but would still be school property. We have all wondered why the FBI and the SService became involved so soon, school property disappearance would answer that for me.

Steleheart, I think I believe only the people that saw her turn towards/on to the line. That would be the "friend" on the bus, and the 2 girls walking behind her on Eagles Way. I think someone mentioned long ago that the track team also used this trail/line for practice once in a while. I do not know what to call it anymore, I can not get back to your post about power lines without losing this post. Tiny sigh.

So the power lines are on the right of Eastman (the thin double lines)? My last map in the above post is wrong then, what is that beneath Eastman that the trial hits first and follows the direction of Eastman?

Holy cow, have never paid attention to that power line trail, white line before.....always thought they were talking about the power line that started just up from Eastman Rd. BUT.....it makes sense, a shortcut. The school bus with the friend that saw her would still pass her, and the 2 girls could still be walking behind her. Thanks everyone, for helping me again.

Are those landmarks correct though? I've never been sure and just going on other posts, someone who knows, please confirm, and thanks.

Yes. This interview was immediately after LE received the letter and apparently instead of the promised Press Conference that week;

"to think that she willingly left on her own and has stayed dark, is what we've been calling it, since then, is an extensive
commitment on the part of a 15 year old girl which causes us a lot of consternation and concern."

He was speaking very carefully if you watch him.

I wouldn't say I am anyone that knows anything, but those landmarks are correct. I also now think that quite possibly school property only goes to the power line too.

Sure do not mean to drag Crickets into this, but I bet 5 dollars she will know about property lines. Putting 5 on the table!

This is the area that's highlighted in the NE Unsolved video above when they talk about her being seen on the power line trail, where I put the red arrow:

It was a general comment but used your comment to state it. It is frustrating to me to see people try to downplay the runaway angle and make excuses for why LE may have said its possible. It's almost as if some want it to be an abduction and I just don't understand that. I know some people will stop looking if they feel she is a runaway but not acknowledging the possibility is just as detrimental to getting her home, if that's what happened. LE cannot call it anything but a missing person, to me that leaves all possibilities open, so why try explain away a runaway theory? A poster above that I responded to flat out contradicted what was written in the linked article. The lead investigator said they were acknowledging the possibility that AH ran away. The poster said he didn't say that. That's one example of misinformation and for the life of me I cannot understand the point of trying to dissuade people from the runaway theory like that.

I honestly don't know what to think. I find it difficult to believe that if she ran away she would not have contacted her mother or father by phone or a friend even by email. That is what I find strange about the runaway theory and this girl is into the social media sites and to just stop on all of it is what I don't get. I believe she might have went with someone willingly thinking it was going to be for a short time and that she would be home that night is what I am thinking. I just really don't think she ran away willingly but who knows we don't get any of the information from LE to let us know what is going on? Regardless if she ran away or was abducted she needs to be found and brought back home. I don't think people would stop looking even if she did runaway because she is way too young to be out there with only god knows who and she needs to be back home. I pray she will be found soon and back home.

Cheese, is that Eagles Way on the left? Eastman Rd/302 at the top? When I try to enlarge on my iPad I "m still a little off.

Yes. It's hard to see where it says Eastman, but that's it at the top

I don't know why I didn't zoom in on the map as close as I could get, you can actually see the power lines.

Yes steleheart, you are so right, many searches by the retention pond, 2 that I remember that amandareckonwith has pix of. If and when she got into a vehicle, of her own will....or not.....it would have had to be on Eastman Rd. Or near retention pond, or Walmart parking lot.......just somewhere near there, I think. (Moo). I do not think it is possible to get a vehicle on to the power line in daytime hours, when so many would notice.

Why has it never ever been mentioned if she was on the school bus the morning of October 9th? We do not have a clue if she ever walked to school in the morning. Did she walk down Village Way to Main Street to get on the school Bus ? You know, Dunkin Donuts is close by- across Main Street. This is moo, by me.....but I think when they had guys in hazmat suits searching garbage from dumpsters.....they were sure looking for stuff from DD too. Also there were searchers looking for stuff , maybe thrown away....behind DD down near the railroad tracks. I think news of the flying receipt that we all accepted as fact was a huge red herring. Moo......think about it!!!
I have flunked 101 sleuthing big time, you can see why. This was the first one I have followed, maybe the last too. I say bravo to all of you that go thru this often, you deserve a treasure trove of good stuff from the "patience saint". Really !

I agree. I think the only way they could have been certain is if there had been dna evidence or fingerprints.

along with an enclosed picture of a very much alive abbi holding a newspaper dated oct 22 2013. otherwise i'm calling the letter either invented by le or if a letter was actually delivered to abbi's mom's public ally available po box - I call it bogus - some nut.

Ohoh, you seem to know the area pretty well. Do you live in the Conway area? If so, what's the general opinion of the locals as to what happened here?

Spider, I live on a lake over in Maine, about 25 minutes away from N.Conway - as the crow flies. It is a seasonal cottage, and we are only there from May 1 to Oct.31 each year. We are snowbirds, big pansies...despise long dark cold winters. N.Conway and the mountains are my favorite places, we do our groceries there, love some of the shops, llbeanie outlet, and they have the closest $tarbuckie$ . I am not a local, but we do go over there maybe 2x a week for the 6 months we are there.
