I asked this before in the initial threads, iirc, but forgot the answer---homes in NH have basements, is that correct?
Yes. They do.

True, lol. But if the sketch is bogus, then the perp would see that it is fake when it looks nothing like him and not be alarmed about her talking. He would anticipate extensive questioning.
Hmmm, that inspires a crazy thought thought---maybe LE put out a bogus sketch to throw off the perp, lol.
I think the sketch is bogus, but for other reasons. (I get the feeling AH is protecting someone, and very reticent to cooperate...*insert 'she's still a victim' here*...)
My best friend told me a saying many years ago, that a person is always operating out of either love or fear, one or the other, plain and simple.
So, IF Abby is not cooperating, which one of these things is she operating out of?
Several things bother me. The contradictions in staments between the AG and the family about Abbys health. Why did they want all family statements analized? There had to be a reason for that but thats as far as ill go with that. Why they wont say if she was kidnapped or went willingly.

This is going to be hard to explain, so bear with me here.
Re: Abby wearing the same clothes, I'm not saying this is the case, but have you ever coincidentally worn the same outfit...meaning, I've seen pictures of myself and been like, "Oh, I'm wearing those exact same pants today..." Make sense? But then again, with the weather, etc, not adding up.
So thinking out loud further, if she went off in those clothes, then bought new clothes, maybe she didn't want to wear those bc they could be tracked to wherever she bought them, hence surveillance footage, etc.
Circular brainstorming post, lol.
Good brainstorm. My issue is that seemed planned in advance. Like, let's say she was wearing that outfit and disappeared on the last cold day in March, and so she never wore a sweater again and then chose to wear it back so that no one would know where her other clothes came from. Okay then. But the clothes they show look too good. The sweater looks good and the pants are still really, really black and not faded at all even though they were described as being leggings.
It seems like someone took that outfit and stored it with intent of having Abby wear it upon her return.

Or did not wear it while gone so she wasn't recognized!

To me, this is a key point. Everything pivots on this detail, the clothing. What kidnapper would systematically save clothing with an eye toward the future? That's some kind of pathology, that kind of foresight--nearly ritualistic. A more reasonable conclusion is a baby mill of some sort. Or a cult which required a surrender of the past. In that case the "western garb" (or cool, contemporary yoga pants and baggy colorful sweater) might have been, in fact, ritualistically put aside. The letter would make some sense in either case. As to her health, currently, the poor kid is most likely in a state of panic. There's a reason she's home--either she fought her way out or was finished with whatever she left for. My heart goes out to her, so young and so in the middle of things. I agree that the way it's being handled is only making things more interesting to the public--just whetting appetites for more pieces of the puzzle to come together.
My opinion, of course.
Seems to me he must have done something more than "drive her away" if she can give an estimate of his height. If he just picked her up and dropped her off he would have been sitting the entire time. And for her to say he was just "slightly taller" then she must have been fairly close to him (physically). A person, especially a kid, would say (IMO) that the person was "about" their own height, not specifically "slightly taller"Me too. Especially because of his height (5'6''), weight, eye color. I have to think that if the person is slightly taller than Abby, they don't mean 5'8"-5'9". I would think they would bring in people of different heights to help narrow it down as part of the process of getting an accurate description.
References to clothing and not eating. Eating and clothing come up now in this case as two of only a few things we know.
Look, LE really got the public involved in this case. I agree that LE's only "real" responsibility is to investigate this case, but when any person or organization asks for (and gets) the assistance of the public at large, then they should expect that there will be a huge response from the public at large when the case turns out like this. LE and the investigators of this case have an ethical duty at this point to address the public and at the very least try and put an end to some of the nastiness that is infecting the online discussions at this point. Heck, they could even lie in order to do that. "At this point, we have no reason to believe that Abby was pregnant" or "As of now, we have asked the family and Abby not to give interviews or address the public" or "We understand that we have asked for assistance using vague and cryptic information. We regret that is all we can give you right now, but your help stills means a lot to us and to the family".
To me, any of those things would really go a long way right now.
The FBI would have taken any new clothing and tracked them back to areas where they were sold/purchased.So... why not come home in summer clothing?
I think wherever she was she had a uniform.
<rsbm>And is a kidnapper seriously thinking about the moment he will give the kid back when it happens? Is that part of the kidnapper's fantasy?
Regardless of their relationship status, based upon what the dad has said, it sounds to me like the investigators were not particularly decent with him or his son. I have looked closely at his statements and he strikes me as being sincere. Subjectively to him, this whole thing has been extremely hard on him. I would sound like a jerk to if I had gone through what he went through.
