I dont see them offering a "reward" to find AH
Sometimes people wait for reward before they submit a good tip :(

10/09/13 Abigail confirmed at school

2:29pm Abigail seen leaving school wearing black leggings, black boots, dark coloured striped sweater walking through Field Hockey Field down Eagles Way to power line trail

2:30pm -2:35pm Abigail seen walking on power line trail from Eagles Way

2:23pm -2:53pm A series of text messages exchanged between Abigail and friend/classmate

2:53pm Last text sent by Abigail to same friend

3:07pm Last known contact between cell phone and cellular network was on West Side of Cranmore Mountain

This thing of Abby taking the right turn off Eagles Road and walking into the woods alone just bothers me. The trail is a less direct route home.

So the timeline presented this evening goes something like this... at about 2:35 PM Abby was seen by the eyewitness leaving Eagles Road and walking along into the woods on power line trail. At that time she was sending text messages to her friend, and continued to do so for the next 20 minutes until 2:53 PM. That would give Abby just about enough time to complete her walk down the trail to either Eastman Road or back to Eagles Road near the intersection with Eastman Road. 14 minutes later, her cell phone goes black.

My theory based on this new information is this: her disappearance took place at or very near the endpoint of the trail as noted above, the exact location is unclear because there is more than one 'exit' to the trail. The abduction event likely occurred during the 14 minute window between the last text message and the phone going black. My assumption here is her assailant disabled her phone after taking physical control of Abby. Based on this I do not think she even made it as far as the Wal-Mart, never made it to the rotary, and never made it home.

Authorities said she was texting on her phone between 2:23 p.m. and 2:53 p.m., and that she was texting with a friend, who they said has been cooperating in the investigation.

According to James D. Campbell of Conway, his son, JC, 14, is Hernandez's boyfriend. JC's father said his son last received a text from Hernandez — a heart — in that time frame.
Authorities said the final contact between her cell phone and cell phone network towers on the west side of Cranmore Mountain was at 3:07 p.m.

Young would not say what kind of contact was made with the cell tower, and said information about the last cell phone contact came from information gathered by police.

This is probably a little "out there" but is it usual that Abby texts her bf with a <3? Technically I guess we don't know positively "who" text the heart. We just know someone did.

If there was actually a call made from her phone at 630, is it possible the call went to her house? If no one was at her house, maybe voicemail picked up and that message (could have been Abby asking for help or just background noise like a scuffle) alerted mom? Maybe they are focusing search efforts on specific areas based on information heard in the voicemail message or cell phone pings?

Apologize if this has already been discussed. I've been a long time reader, but this is my first actual post, and I still need to read some of the entries on this thread.

Definitely, noted that as well as the male that worked at the school, noting two days she walked (perhaps jeopardizing his job) because he did it on video no less. Some things, you just file away & wonder, why someone would not listen to LE & said it anyway could possibly mean more?:innocent:

So we have a male worker at the school that 'noticed' Abby's schedule, specifically mentioning the days she walked home. I wonder if he also noticed she walked alone into the woods down power line trail as well ? LE mentioned this is something she has been known to do before.

Given the tight timeline presented to us this evening by LE, I can now understand why they were redoubling there search efforts (5 dog teams no less) closer to the school (a fact I found confusing two days ago). Now it makes complete sense.

By chance did you watch Castle this week?!?! Same scenario in Monday's episode where a text was sent from a phone but because of how "I love you" was texted it was determined to have been sent by someone else.

I think AH sent the heart.

Another thought re: that dead horse DD post... perhaps LE are trying to determine if the woman who was in the black truck that went through the drive through saw a person who works there - either in the DD or in the parking lot. Perhaps trying to determine a time frame for that person leaving DD and then offering a ride to Abby. I'm thinking this particular person was well known to Abby, knows or works at DD, and knows Cranmore Mtn well.

Something about all this reminds me so much of Lizzi Marriott. While the search was on for her, LE already "knew" where she had been from her phone pings. I really feel that they know more, much more than is being said publicly.

Ok obviously the phone may have pinged at 3:07pm due to an incoming or outgoing call or text message.

Other options: did she e-mail her mom an S.O.S, and mom checked her e-mail upon arriving home at 7pm??

Was an internet search done on her phone?

Lots of options.

Here's an idea, that I hope someone tech savvy can provide information about:

Does taking a picture cause the phone to ping? I wouldn't think so... but since her photos would be taken with geo-tags (unless she has geo-tagging manually disabled on her phone), I wondered if that causes a location ping. They seem to really want her phone (asking businesses to search for it). IMO, much of the information one could gain from physically obtaining the phone is obtainable through cell phone records. However, a photo or video would only be visible on the phone AFAIK.

I hope this makes sense. I am not the most technical person, so feel free to correct me if any of my assumptions are wrong.

Wowzer, never thought of that angle; someone very close to her but from out of town perhaps staying at the resort or maybe lives nearby. But, if it was someone coming in to meet up with her, wouldn't she share it? Not knowing her bus route, etc. would she walking this route be faster if there was a planned destination? Surely, she would have told her BF or BFF. Interesting Mom24!

She wouldn't have shared or told if it was another boy she was meeting (not her current boyfriend) jmo

Would love to know if she was in the middle of a text conversation and it ended abruptly or if she said anything to the person she was texting about someone following her or maybe seeing somebody.

I think the bf's dad would have indicated it was abruptly cut off probably, but a heart would probably be the end of my convo, too.

To address someone else's post: I don't know if someone else would have sent it. Maybe someone young/savvy enough to know about the emoji keyboard and how to find the heart since I'm guessing that's what she used?

Nah I can leave my phone sitting somewhere for 24 hours and come back and it's only at 77%, and she and I have the same phone.

My iPhone needs charging every day. I live in the mountains with poor cell reception, so my phone is constantly searching for a signal which drains the battery faster :( jmo

Depends on if location services tries to use a tower to determine location. Mostly it's only the gps. I can use my non 3g enabled iPad to find my way on a map pre-loaded because it's only using gps. But, to use geotagging in camera awesome, I would have to be connected to wifi or data because it uses my address roughly, so different programs use different settings.

the "find my iPhone" app asks for an Apple ID and password. I typed in my daughter's Apple ID and password and I find our ipad but not the iPhone. anjl, you said I needed to log into her iCloud account but when I asked my daughter for her iCloud account and password, she didn't know what I was talking about. I know my own Apple ID and password but I don't know if I even have an iCloud account or password.

I think my experience goes to show that just because someone has an apple product, they may not know how to use it.

at times people talk of finding a cell phone via GPS. I wouldn't have a clue how to go about finding a phone that way.

On the 'find my phone' feature you have to set up an iCloud account for each device (I use same as my Apple ID) go into your settings and set up an iCloud acct. that way if your phone is lost, you can log into your iCloud from another device and find your phone. You must have set one up on your iPad for your phone to find it. To find my sons phone, I go into iCloud on my iPad, log out as me and log in as him. I like this better than 'find my friends' app because that app can be disabled on the phone by the user. If sons ever missing...I wouldn't want someone to disable my ability to find him. I hope this makes sense, I never did get that second cup of coffee today :(

It seems the mother called police pretty quickly upon arriving home from work.Like something was very apparent..Also,LE became involved rather quickly..Is it possible a ransom note was left in the house?

Do we know for certain what time mom got home from work? I know that NG said 7pm but is there any other MSM or LE report or are we just assuming 7?

I'm not certain on the photo portion. My photos are set to auto upload to fb in a private album every time I log in to fb from my phone. They also auto upload to iCloud but I don't know if that's automatic or how it's done. I take a lot of photos with my phone and iPad for work. When I get home, I have access to all photos I took on all devices I own, no matter which device took the photo. I don't remember if that's something I set up in iCloud, or if it was automatic.

I really need that coffee now! Wish there were a DD here!
