I was thinking.. Could they have been talking about that last phone call from Abby's phone because maybe the perp had disarmed Abby by asking to use her phone for whatever reason.. Then over taking her.

a secret life can ber as simple as not telling anyone you sneak downstairs and put mayonnaise on potato chips. It doesn'/t mean you have an affair or meet someone

Now, that is funny!

A few things to consider here IMHO:

1. The older male which AH is supposed to have "met" online or in person. There has been no further mention of this person as far as I have seen.

2. AH´s regular cleaning job where she could have met one or more unsavoury person/s.
Was this a private home, an office or perhaps some kind of lodging place in the North Conway area?

3. However unlikely it may seem, did AH run away voluntarily after all?
There are family connections to TN and TX.

4. The alleged sighting of a young female walking on Rte 112 (the Kancamagus Highway Lincoln-Conway) on the outskirts of Lincoln, NH, as mentioned on a certain social site not mentionable here, on the evening of Friday October 18th

5. I hesitate to even suggest this, but it is at least theoretically possible that some person in a position of official authority driving past her while on or off duty might have been able to coerce AH to enter a vehicle merely on the basis of such a perceived authority, whether real or rogue/bogus. This is rare, but has unfortunately happened in some instances over the years.

6. There has been some further activity as of late on a certain social site unmentionable here dealing with the apparently abandoned Fryeburg, ME, house off US 302.
I would expect this to have been duly checked out by the relevant authorities as a matter of course.

7. Did AH ever get as far as US 302 after having walked the power line trail north from Kennet High School? Did something awful happen while she was walking through the woods? If so such a perp is more or less certainly bound to have been a local.

8. Was it really AH or some other girl seen walking north on the North-South Road at the relevant time? Apparently none of these sightings have been confirmed.
If this really was AH being seen, I find it more likely than not that she more or less willingly might have entered a vehicle driven past by some one she knew or was acquainted with at least on some level, rather than a complete stranger. Perhaps even someone connected one way or other with her regular cleaning job?

Just some thoughts IMHO.

I'll be heading up there tonight...... hopefully while hiking this weekend in some areas that I won't mention that may or may not have been searched I'm truly hoping we come across something that could be helpful to LE in bringing Abby home...... it's maddening that this is turning out to be such a difficult case..... this pretty girl belongs with her family........

That´s really great of you!
I do hope though that you won´t be out in the woods on your own, but safely so in the company of several other people.
Please, take care and stay safe!

no, but they seem to have always lived in the area...bartlett, jackson, glen, and north conway.

september of last year they lived in glen...both ZH and SH (mom and sister) were listed on coolrunnings giving their race times and location as glen.

six different addresses can be attributed to ZH on various (intelius, spokeo) sites, specifically, rental apartments.

don't know if it means anything. just that they moved around a lot but never left the general vicinity.

Oh really ? Ok so she could easily have friends , really close ones, in another town / area that shes' still close enough to but are not a part of her normal routine. That's kind of what I was driving at. Her friends see her with her friends and school and would say to LE her friends are a, b, c , d and e! But those friends may not take into account j, k and l from her old town 18 months ago or something. So in a way she's likely closer with her friends from her old town than the new town so I'm hoping LE is talking with all of them as well about what they know.

If LE is saying they did find signs of a "secret" life, could they have discovered she has another (pay as you go) phone, maybe? But not having the phone, can't gather any clues from it? Maybe someone described seeing one, or a receipt for one was found? Just trying to think of how LE could determine she had a secret life yet be unable to learn from the knowledge to point to a suspect or contact.

I really do not think they have a suspect or POI. I think they would at least say they were further along, even if they wished to keep any details back, simply to reassure the community, if they had a real case with a real POI going, but JMO.

That tells me that everything they know about Abigail's disappearance, they learned the day she went missing. It does not sound to me like they have a suspect, or they have found evidence to analyze. If they did, they would still be learning new information as the days and weeks went by. It sounds like they have no idea, which is making me think she was abducted by a stranger or a very slight acquaintance.

I know we all like to be optimistic but this information actually gives me real hope that Abby took off on her own. It's very hard for a perp to leave not a trace. I understand that it happens a lot and perps get away with it. But this, plus the walk and no bus, plus the <3 only text has me thinking maybe she meant to . I wonder if that <3 text was her way of saying ' i dont want to tell you something that will hurt you ' . Yes, I'm speculating wildly ! I know this. I'm just trying to see a positive outcome here. :)

It is simple to not leave a trace, if she went away in a car, which seems to have to have been the case. IMO

If she hopped in that car willingly, yes. If there was a scuffle and someone grabbed her and forced her in, the odds of leaving no trace or not being seen go down quite a bit, right?

ETA :( Clu, I guess if the most popular working theory is that she met a ' stranger/friend' online and willingly got into their car happily, thinking they were her friend and only then finding out later that they were a pervy perp of some kind, then my theory is out the window. Is that what you're thinking?

Since emotional and sexual energies tend to run high at these types of high school events, I am wondering if anything potentially noteworthy happened at the October 5th homecoming dance?

Even if there was a scuffle, or she dropped things, like Holly Bobo...it does not always help, apparently.

If she met "someone online" the FBI would know that.

My best theory is that someone knew young girls came from that path from KHS to Eastman Rd, parked there and grabbed one. Probably using a ruse to get the girl close enough to the car so that passing traffic (if there would be any) wouldn't see some guy dragging a girl to a car.

I also think Abby is nowhere near N Conway.

This is my first post, but this case is just breaking my heart! I'm going to be up in that area in a few weeks and am debating taking a drive through. I've loved hiking in that area in the past, but I kind of think I will be a bit more scared to go now.

*sigh of relief* it feels nice to get my first post out of the way. :-)

I keep waiting for some pictures to be posted of the Homecoming. It would be the last pictures of Abby before she went missing.

I was hoping they would be posted by her mother or the MHFA FB page.

So far...nothing. Do you happen to know was this a formal dance or just casual?

I still find it sooooo strange that Abby's friends aren't closing down their FB pages or posting her pictures as their FB page. Very strange....

I'm hoping and praying she is found before I get the chance to go up there!!

Under regular circumstances I wouldn't go alone, I'm too clumsy, but if be way too afraid to go alone now anyways!

I have not been able to be here at Abigail's thread daily, at least not this week. But I really do think of her often and try to stop in every few days to read and catch up...and also pray. I pray that Abigail is not hurting, or in pain, or hungry, cold or sick....wherever she is, I want her to be ok. It would be such a wonderful thing if she could be found safe...and be home with those who love her so much. That is my prayer for Abby.

Likewise. Been busy lately with my job so i am missing so much here
i hope she'll be returned to her family.

Does anyone already think of a wild idea that she could have witness something and she's on a witness protection program so the family has to pretend she's missing?..with so many agencies working on it, the secrecy of the information..i dont know, still dont agree on less transparancy by LE but they must have a good damn reason for this. JMHO
