It has not been said definitively that it she was texting with her boyfriend this whole time. It was said she was texting with a friend, and it has been said she sent him the heart, but I don't remember seeing anything verifying she was talking with him the whole time.

I recall them saying a few times that the heart was sent to the same friend she was texting with...early on in this. They don't mention it anymore (they being news/le)

The only person that has said about the heart is JDC who said JC received a last txt from Abby at around 2:52pm and it was a heart <3

The timeline the FBI released stated Abby was txting 'a friend' until 2:53pm, it appears it was JC she was texting but it has not been confirmed. Only JDC has stated it was JC and only mentioned the <3

Between 2:23 p.m. and 2:53 p.m. Hernandez sent a series of text messages to a friend. FBI officials said that friend was cooperating with the investigation.

This is something I have wanted to point out. JDC has said his son saw her texting away and walking away and then also said he received his last text from her at 2:52, LE has said she was texting a friend at that time and the last text sent from her phone was at 2:53. I do not believe her last sent text was to the boyfriend. They specifically say that text was to a "friend" even though they have previously referred to her boyfriend as her boyfriend. I want to know who the last text was sent to. Maybe they don't even know. That's why drug dealers love using cheap throwaway phones, they can communicate without leaving a trace of their personal identity. In this new age of technology I am sure perps can make good use of these as well. :notgood:

wasn't her phone pink, though? this rumor is really taking off, been reported in several places from what i have read. i just hope that this isn't a false lead.

her phone is white.... the otter case is pink and grey

those texts were to her bf...all of them, IMO. and JMO but that 6:30 call/text/ping did happen...to whom, i don't know...again, fish & game didn't pull that fact out of their behind.

Abby was seen leaving school at 2:29pm last Wednesday and exchanged a series of texts with a classmate between 2:23 and 2:53pm. At 2:35pm, she was seen walking on the power line trail from Eagle’s Way.

Her last cell phone activity was at 3:07pm when she sent a text message to the same classmate on the west side of Cranmore Mountain.

Rabbit....I was wondering about that 7pmish ping. Do we know if the ping was incoming or outgoing?

nope. and IIRC they never said 'ping'. they backpeddled so quickly we're not sure what it was. JY said reports of the "call" were "inaccurate".

which tells me there was communication made, in whatever manner, at 6:30 with her cell phone. no idea to whom, from whom, nor where.

let's have a group hug/head bang. :giggle: :banghead:

I was wondering if she did make it home and her phone was leftthere. When her mom got hime she tried calling only to hear it ring in the house. That sent her into panic mode.

Writing while thinking...it would be odd for a teens phone to have no activity from 307-630. Someone would have texted in that 3+ hour span.

I do not believe so because LE specifically asked for businesses/people to be on the lookout for her phone (but they never mentioned her bag, oddly).

i agree, but on 10/15 at 5:18 during this news conference, when asked if her phone is missing, JY says "i'm not going to comment on that".

??? why wouldn't a simple "yes" or "no" suffice?

then the next day, 10/16, this is reported:

http://www.bostonglobe.com/metro/20...whereabouts/RjtyexWUPCCzR5nQaZYFbI/story.html

"Authorities are looking for Hernandez’s cellphone — a white iPhone 5 in a pink and gray case. Specifically, they are asking businesses to check their lost-and-found holds to see if the phone might have been unclaimed, said Jane Young, associate New Hampshire attorney general."

know what i think? they want to prove that what's been told to them about the last set of texts is the truth. they need that phone. and didn't initially want to admit they didn't have it nor the text thread. same goes for the 6:30 call. she said (paraphrased) that information was inaccurate but asked the public for help with regards to that call. if there was no 6:30 call, she wouldn't have asked for info on the call because it didn't exist.

any friend that had texted her on tuesday, wednesday, et cetera, could have simply told LE that they deleted the threads. kwim?

It would be interesting to have a list of LE statements on each date along with notations of when each agency came on board. I'm working right now, but I probably can get to it later on this afternoon. But if anyone else wants to start one, I'd be grateful. :)

Nope Maine! lol

not sure if this post was sarcasm or not lol. i follow NFL football very closely and it is 100% without a doubt bristol, ct. i think the idea that this has anything to do with Aaron Hernandez is a very very very far stretch, respectfully JMO

Is the actual phone the only source of the text for LE? Can't they obtain the content of the texts from the phone company?

i'm not sure...maybe a tech expert can weigh in. afaik, they can pull the luds meaning the time/type of communication (call at 2:00, text at 3:00, et cetera) but not the actual content (either the voice conversation or the written messages).

don't really know. anyone?

I used to work as regional manager for a major cell phone company. LE can retrieve text messages from a carrier with a warrant. We would get requests all the time for people wanting to get copies of text messages on their own account, but it can only be done with a warrant. They do not physically need the phone to retrieve that kind of info. However
there are all sorts of text messaging apps where the info is transmitted over the internet data connection or wifi, the cell phone carrier would not be able to provide this kind of information.
