I NEVER heard that ''older boy online" come from LE..... and I do not believe that JC sr works at DD.... I think that is on his FB page as a joke meaning constant DD coffee consumer
I feel that if this was confirmed to be the case they would have told us. They did when Nichole C went missing in Maine. The second they found out they told us.
I think in the beginning, it is instinct to say your child would not run away. For one thing, you don't get much attention if you start off saying that. As weeks pass, you might hope she ran away because nothing else can have a good ending.
I think in the very beginning it was the NG show that brought Abby's Missing to the forefront.
Speaking of which I wonder what the criteria is for that show?
Why did they chose Abby's?
I think they would have told us about the older boy if he were real. But maybe it was a fake profile and they haven't figured out who it belongs to. Or maybe he has been cleared.
Does anyone have any thoughts about what I posted earlier with respect to not living in the family home?
The first time Abby's case was on Nancy Grace was on October 15, so it wasn't Nancy Grace who was the first one to mention Abby. The first national coverage was on October 13 by Good Morning America. And of course there was local coverage way before that.
ETA: I'm talking about TV coverage here. It looks like the first article by a national network was Fox News on October 12: http://www.foxnews.com/us/2013/10/12/new-hampshire-authorities-step-up-search-for-missing-teen/
NH, ME, MA are very much connected. MyFoxBoston appears to be where it began. Boston covers local, but to them much of these tourist areas ARE local. We are all connected, there are MA transplants throughout NH and ME and if not a full-time transplant at the very least a frequent visitor or seasonal home owner. People go back and forth, these areas are close to hearts with lots of family memories and more to come, heck people even commute daily all around New England.
Boston covers it and bam, it becomes bigger. That's my take. We are all Sox, Pats, Bruins Fans united (OK maybe not but seriously, there is a connectivity that goes on and once Boston covers it, you have one of the big cities covering and it spreads.)
I really have to wonder what made this missing Abby so big so fast that everybody was picking it up?
You don't see that in too many missing teen cases. Why Abby?
I keep feeling we are missing something big.

IMO, Maybe the huge presence of LE and whoever else was present when AH was first reported missing and their quick response was because of some history?? I was taken back by the only 2 comments on this page. Very interesting........
My children, when they were in their early teens could hold an entire conversation with me.......when they didn't want someone or anyone around to hear what they were saying to me, sometimes back and forth for 20 minutes or even an hour! Now when they start to do that, I tell them to stop texting and just call me because I get frustrated texting for so long. My point is.........it was after school, why was AH and JC texting for 20 minutes? Why not a simple phone call? Was she with someone that she couldn't simply talk on her phone BUT it was ok to text? I feel like I'm back at square one all over again. Like trynna retrace anything that hasn't come to mind when she first went missing.
Ok,this might be a long shot and absolutely ridiculous of me to post this, but here goes- would if, she had plans to run away. Asked an older friend to drop by her house and pick up a few things that she had already packed in her bedroom, and gave the key to her friend to go inside her home while her Mom was at work and she was at school. Perhaps the person got scared and might have knocked something over like a kitchen chair (say, the dogs started barking at them or snarling and chasing that person around the house- mine have done that in the past) or something, hence why her Mom panicked and called the cops right away, seeing that Abby wasn't home. LE might have thought something had happened at first to her at the house, but when they found no signs of struggle or blood or anything, realized that she might not have made it home after all, but was picked up elsewhere after school.
Yes? No? Maybe?
What if the candy was taken that day? I still find it odd, even after your explanation Mom, that the mother would mention the candy missing. She hadn't noticed the candy missing before that day? Sorry to keep going back to the candy folks.
Here is a link to a recent failed abduction attempt in Bristol, NH a month before AH disappeared. Bristol is near Plymouth if you are looking it up on a map. The article said a 30-40 yo white male in a silver SUV, possibly a Pontiac G6, with Virginia license plates tried to get a gal into a car: http://boston.cbslocal.com/2013/02/...fter-attempted-abduction-reported-in-bristol/ If you do a google search of attempted abduction and Virginia plates there are a few other listed attempts in New England.
