Just heard an ad for Settler's Green. So I checked out their website. No mention of AH. Would have been nice if they had a missing poster on their site.

I have nothing to add other than I think about Abby all the time and wonder, wonder, wonder what may have happened to her. It's so disheartening that she hasn't been found yet. If the sightings are true, please come home, Abby. If she has suffered a worse fate, I hope she is found soon. If I'm feeling this way about her disappearance, I can't even imagine how her family and friends are feeling. My heart goes out to them.

This was written about Gardner, abductor of Amber Dubois,

"In detail, Rother describes the “complex mix of genetic and environmental risk factors — including addiction, alcoholism, physical abuse, mental illness, mental disorders…a rotating series of father figures, repeated moves from house to house, financial instability (including multiple bankruptcies), molestation and incest” that ultimately turned him (Gardner) into a monster."

...the bankruptcy issue is one not often discussed. Ariel Castro's home was in foreclosure when the women were freed.

...also, a history of violence is part of profile, but Castro also was in court for parental abduction when his kids were young.

"How a person does one thing is how they do everything."

Well we certainly are seeing that today watching what infolds in the George Zimmerman saga. He just can't stay out of trouble and once again the neighbors thought he was an off duty police officer.

Pulling a gun on his GF. She is lucky it didn't go off. Travon Martin...not so much.

So that case in the news makes your point of "How a person does one thing is how they do everything"

She had a friend in Texas. Dad resides there part-time.

The Texas/Mexico border is a mess. Easy to cross without passing border patrol/INS.

Profile of abductors- read that common to abduct person of same race/nationality.

Lots of the gardeners in my area...way up North are Hispanic. So I am thinking at Abby's condo they might also be of her nationality.

The interview I just posted upthread by the criminoligist speaks of kidnapping by like nationality and those on the grounds would become very familiar of the coming and going of residents. RG just left for his ship and Sarah just left for college. Mom working late.

That has always bothered me. Gardners, maintenance workers and outside contractors.

I still think she made it home...I just do!

I have landscapers on my mind too. I don't know what it's like in NH, but in Texas, most of the landscapers/construction workers are from Mexico. I doubt many of these folks are here legally, and if they have a violent past/criminal record, we wouldn't know. If they're asked to give a social security number, they often give fake ones,

I'm wondering why LE doesn't give a profile of an abductor to the public. Statistically, he would live within 50 miles of Abby's home. Folks could turn in their creeper relatives and neighbors. It makes me wonder if they have credible evidence that she ran away.

AND PLEASE direct yourselves to the www.bringabbyhome.com website for FACTS in this case and to provide info if you are nervous about it.... people need not use that Missing Help Find Abigail Hernandez facebook page for anything other than to share Abby's picture and missing posters on your own social media... which actually can also be done through the official website.....

If anything I've written is offensive to the family or may put Abby at risk, let me know and I'll delete it or invite a mod to do so. Thanks.

Well that would tie in if she made it home and things are missing. Every girl takes her 'stuff'.

The fact that so many agencies entered this search so quickly makes me think they had more to go on that we have not been told.

The mystery remains...where is Abby?

IMO any profiles for possible abductors I have seen are all alike. Late twenties to early forties, may live alone, blue collar or unemployed, may be a loner, etc...also usually Caucasian.

Anyway, I get the impression LE is not willing to say she has likely been abducted, without some kind of proof. This age group is always presents difficulties for LE. So many teens run away, and so few are actually abducted from their neighborhoods.

AGain, it is so difficult to run from a place like White Mnt Valley without a good plan, help, cash, etc. I hope she is a runaway and will come home soon.

I don't think most people would know the profile. My mom wouldn't. It would help get people involved if they knew who they should be looking for.

Proof of abduction? Why not assume she was abducted unless you have proof she ran away. There's more likely to be proof of a plan to take off voluntarily.

I always believe LE should make standard speech about looking around you, seeing if anyone behaved oddly that day or since, changed their appearance, their vehicle, or missed work, etc...they should do it right away, IMO, while memories are fresh and people are paying attention.

  • #376
If you see something of concern, you should let the person know....easier than everybody reading back and figuring out where it was. Faster, too. That or let a mod know.

Oh and that is one of the reasons I so wish they would show any video they have of Abby from that day. If they have video of Abby it's so important that people see it on the tv in the newspaper and anywhere.

Somebody might just remember something.

As they say 'A picture is worth a thousand words'!

I would love to know what cameras previously recorded her walking and did it record her on the 9th? Where was the camera and where exactly does it put her? It would at least jog someone's memory who may have been travelling or visiting that area that day and maybe saw a vehicle.

How would a regular person walking around like at Settler's Green or Walmart know where cameras were? Would you be able to see them? Just wondering because of the discussion of where she could have been seen on a camera after she left school where she was caught on camera?

This is pretty interesting and it came early in the investigation. But listening to the statistics makes me once again wonder why so many agencies were called in so quickly in this particular disappearance???
