This was written about Gardner, abductor of Amber Dubois,
"In detail, Rother describes the complex mix of genetic and environmental risk factors including addiction, alcoholism, physical abuse, mental illness, mental disorders a rotating series of father figures, repeated moves from house to house, financial instability (including multiple bankruptcies), molestation and incest that ultimately turned him (Gardner) into a monster."
...the bankruptcy issue is one not often discussed. Ariel Castro's home was in foreclosure when the women were freed.
...also, a history of violence is part of profile, but Castro also was in court for parental abduction when his kids were young.

She had a friend in Texas. Dad resides there part-time.
The Texas/Mexico border is a mess. Easy to cross without passing border patrol/INS.
Profile of abductors- read that common to abduct person of same race/nationality.

Lots of the gardeners in my area...way up North are Hispanic. So I am thinking at Abby's condo they might also be of her nationality.
The interview I just posted upthread by the criminoligist speaks of kidnapping by like nationality and those on the grounds would become very familiar of the coming and going of residents. RG just left for his ship and Sarah just left for college. Mom working late.
That has always bothered me. Gardners, maintenance workers and outside contractors.
I still think she made it home...I just do!
I'm wondering why LE doesn't give a profile of an abductor to the public. Statistically, he would live within 50 miles of Abby's home. Folks could turn in their creeper relatives and neighbors. It makes me wonder if they have credible evidence that she ran away.

IMO any profiles for possible abductors I have seen are all alike. Late twenties to early forties, may live alone, blue collar or unemployed, may be a loner, etc...also usually Caucasian.
Anyway, I get the impression LE is not willing to say she has likely been abducted, without some kind of proof. This age group is always presents difficulties for LE. So many teens run away, and so few are actually abducted from their neighborhoods.
I always believe LE should make standard speech about looking around you, seeing if anyone behaved oddly that day or since, changed their appearance, their vehicle, or missed work, etc...they should do it right away, IMO, while memories are fresh and people are paying attention.
I would love to know what cameras previously recorded her walking and did it record her on the 9th? Where was the camera and where exactly does it put her? It would at least jog someone's memory who may have been travelling or visiting that area that day and maybe saw a vehicle.
Has the snow come to stay in North Conway yet?
I don't think most people would know the profile. My mom wouldn't. It would help get people involved if they knew who they should be looking for.
Proof of abduction? Why not assume she was abducted unless you have proof she ran away. There's more likely to be proof of a plan to take off voluntarily.
