I still think they should stage a reconstruction of Abby's last movements, get it videoed, get it out there.

Thing is ......Is everyone being truthful?

It doesn't add up--either they have a timeline from surveillance and she was spotten enroute (in which case she would not have gotten into a car on NS Road). Or she wasn't on the route and she vanished after the Eagle's Way spotting.

We've gotten a lot of contradictory stuff--esp. in the early days.

They should have people searching that powerline area, in the brush area's over and over again. IMO

I always thought the search in the pond was for a body, but maybe other information led them away from searching for a body--perhaps reports from other teens about her behavior.

lmao Eileen.

If they saw her get into a vehicle wouldn't that warrant an Amber Alert?

It could, but in particularly if she appeared to be in grave danger at the moment.... I'm thinking a plate number is needed as well, but I am not positive without looking up the NH requirements set for Code Amber

There were sightings of Abby on North /South road. North ?South Road is not congested with walkers. I would think if someone saw anyone walking, they would notice it for that reason. Could someone explain "unconfirmed " sighting to me?

I think unconfirmed would mean someone who doesn't know AH well saying they think they may have seen her, but they aren't positive. The unconfirmed sightings were after the phone was no longer able to be pinged.

http://www.conwaydailysun.com/index.php/newsx/local-news/109567-weekend-101913 At 3:07 p.m. the phone made its last known contact with the cellular network. Between 2:40 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. there were multiple unconfirmed sightings of Hernandez along North-South Road.

The last ping was at 3:07pm and there were sightings almost 30 mins later along N/S road. I'm not sure how much stock I'd put in those sightings because somehow here phone had to have been completely shut down to not ping between the 3:07 ping and the sightings up to 3:30.

From your lips.....To God's ears!

Even if they would have shown the video of her movements that last day. If they have it they SHOULD have shown it.

Personally I think it's way to late to show it now. ;(

My understanding about the video tape mentioned in the time line is referring to past video of Abby's route when walking home. I think what they did was a comparison to what they believe her walk was that day.

If there are any locals here could you please inform us as to any activity as far as recent searches. Thanks.

Other than constructing a timeline of her movements that day, I'm not sure the video would show much. This isn't downtown Boston, it's North Conway so I'm sure there are large gaps in the video surveillance, and with a moving person it's a second of a snippet here and there. If they were to put all the snippets together it might only total 5secs of film, with just bits and pieces of AH as she passed in and out of view. And they didn't say they had any video of her THAT day, they just said they had used surveillance video to put together a timeline of her route home. They may not have any surveillance video of her from the day she went missing. And they did release the video from the school as she was leaving, a video that's really quite clear in regards to what those videos usually look like, and that didn't jog anyone's memory.

NOT rumor! They were able to ascertain her route home by surveillance video.
http://boston.cbslocal.com/2013/10/16/fbi-to-release-new-information-in-search-for-missing-nh-girl/
A timeline has been put together from interviews and surveillance video gathered along the route from Kennett High School toward Abby’s home

I've searched for the news video, but can't find it. At any rate, they had been told by Mom that AH rode the bus home. They were able to ascertain from video surveillance from PREVIOUS days that AH had actually been walking home daily (not taking the bus) and had a "route" home. They did NOT say they had video surveillance of her that day, they may have they may not. All they said was that they used video surveillance to put together a timeline. I'm sure if they had video of her being grabbed an amber alert would have been immediately issued and the video would have been released, as they did in the girl that got into a strange car at school a few days later. I'm guessing what they saw were snippets of AH as she passed in and out of view of various businesses surveillance cameras.

We are going to have to agree to disagree here, Mom.

As far as I can tell, the timeline that has been put forth by LE and the media doesn't include what you are suggesting. I don't see any of your suppositions backed up by the link you provided. There has been no information released by LE about her movements on the day she disappeared. It really doesn't matter about PREVIOUS days, IMO. All we know is that she started texting at 2:23, she was seen on KHS video, two friends saw her walking, she stopped texting at 2:53 and the last ping was at 3:07. If they knew how far she had gotten from "snippets" of video, they would have more information to work with. LE initially thought she had walked home. Then they determined that she hadn't. Was that because there was video NOT showing her? Well, we don't really know that.

The sightings may be real though we don't know that either. They are strictly unconfirmed at this time. Had she been on N-S Rd (confirmed) we would have more information to go on. As it stands now, there's not much out there.

I haven't read anywhere that they've suspended searches, so the assumption is they are still searching. Last news was that they were doing "focused" searches.

You guys are doing great at keeping Abby's thread going, thank you. I'm reading all the time but struggling to find anything to contribute :/

Where is Abby? It's making me crazy(er) ;)

Theyr'e pretty clear in the article by stating a timeline was put together using surveillance video. Shrug.
The sightings I'm unsure about. I don't completely understand phone technology, but from what I do understand AH's phone had to be completely disabled not just shut off in order for it to not be able to be pinged. At 3:07 her phone went off the grid, so to speak, so the assumption is it was completely disabled. Someone else noted that between AH's last text and the last ping was 14 mins. I think someone got unbelievably lucky or planned it to the minute so that they were able to grab her, subdue her and disable her phone all in 14 mins, leaving no evidence behind and not drawing attention. I don't think she was walking on N/S road having disabled her own phone. :banghead: So round and round we go. I do keep coming back to my previous theory of ZH having found her home in such a disarray that she called the police and their first reaction was that this was really bad. They taped off the home and went door to door questioning neighbors. Now maybe that's protocol, but I'm not convinced it is.

Sorry, but I have never heard that the mother found her house in "disaray." Could you explain exactly what condition the home was in? Thanks.

What if a phone is out of power? "Dead" like that? Can it ping then?
