Just pondering...It's interesting that both Marlyse and Pepper disappeared around holidays. After their families met Terry Rasmussen. And he was still using his real name.

And the last time family saw Denise Beaudin was Thanksgiving and discovered her gone shortly after.

He could even use the typical busy family holiday, where he probably got separated from whichever woman he was with at the time, to make up completely fake and divisive stories to tell Pepper/Marlyse/Denise of made-up encounters he had with their family.

Do we have a source for this? I have apparently forgotten about this fact.
This local newspaper clipping from Oct. 1986 says that under the Curtis Kimball alias, he was married to a nurse in Orange County possibly named Donna Walter – and refers to Lisa having a “2 or 3 year old sister.” So that’s two more possible victims.

Now we know:

-As early as September 1975, Rasmussen met and impregnated Pepper Reed. This means he was very likely in Texas by this time.

-December 25th, 1975: Pepper Reed seen by family in Houston, TX. She is pregnant at this point. Rasmussen likely living in TX. It is interesting in the timeline, it is noted Rasmussen visited family for Christmas in '75 or '76 with an unidentified female. Was it possible that he saw his family/Pepper was with hers shortly before or after Christmas Day, meaning it's possible she was brought to his family in Christmas '75? I had thought there was mention of the woman he brought to his family being Asian but I'm not certain of that. I do not think Pepper would be mistaken as Asian.

-June 1976: Rea Rasmussen born in Orange County CA. Guessing Rasmussen was in CA too.

-By 1978, Rasmussen was back working in TX.
  • Did he go back to TX with Reed and Rea? I would think she would have tried to reach out to family if possible if she was back in her home state, but he may have been isolating her from loved ones.
  • Did he flee to TX in 1978 after killing Reed somewhere in CA circa late 76/77/78? Where was Rea during this time if this was the case?
  • Did he leave Reed to take of their daughter alone in CA while he went to make easy money in TX oil fields? I could then see a scenario where he goes back to CA in 1978, reunites with Reed, kills her, and then meets Marlyse Honeychurch. If Reed was out of the picture, he may have really wanted to find a new woman to take care of his daughter.
-November (Thanksgiving) 1978: Honeychurch last seen by family with boyfriend Rasmussen. There was no mention/remembering of him having a daughter. I would think this detail would stand out in family's minds. It's possible she did not mention it because she knew there would be stigma. Either way, where was Rea then? With a babysitter? Or was Reed still alive?

I wonder where Rea was at the time of Rasmussen's arrest when his wife was " Elizabeth Evans". Did Marylse Honeychurch ever know Rasmussen under his real name?

According to her family, they knew him as Terry Rasmussen, so she must have.

The "Terry Rasmussen" story just keeps on giving and giving...
And will continue to do so...
Where is Pepper Reed???

He remains so high on my list of crummiest men who ever lived.

I wonder if his explanation to Marlyse of why he went by a fake name was to escape paying child support to Pepper?

He also owed child support to his first wife.

I wonder if she even knew about the first wife. Versus Rea was around so obviously there was a mom somewhere.

One thing that always strikes me about this all-time insane case: It occurred during the only era in history when it could've actually happened. After the post-war economic boom and the national highway system made it possible to bounce around the country from job to job, but before the arrival of the digital surveillance age when someone could fly under the radar for years, and make people truly vanish without a trace.

I've speculated Rasmussen began his reign of terror after his brothers passing.

Also, with new of him possibly being in Washington and Oregon, that opens up a new area which, I don't believe, was announced before.

It would be good to get an updated timeline including his incarcerations.

It’s both frightening and deeply depressing to wonder how many like him there have been, and may still be out there, harming and killing with impunity.

Even worse, how many unknown women and possible children are hidden in clandestine graves, no one but their killer even aware they exist, let alone are missing and murdered.

What was Rasmussen up to during the 1990s?

Not much is known according to the timeline. Hate to think who else could have been a victim.

I am not sure when he first got involved with Eunsoon. He murdered her in 2002.
Eunsoon first introduced him to friends in 1999. That's a huge gap in his timeline between his 1990 parole to Eunsoon. Maybe he was operating under an unknown alias that hasn't been tied to him? Hopefully he was incarcerated somewhere and not out adding to his victim count.
