Weird how the daughter went missing at a later time. Wish we knew the circumstances, there are serial killers in FL.
I did a google for Doris, my partner posted about her and 2 others March 2015. Her sister is missing from FL. If Doris is listed as a rule out for someone in NamUs, I wonder if she's in there.

Who is her sister?

I thought Agati said the adult female was most likely born and raised northeast/east coast region based on isotopes?
Between 2 weeks and three months prior to their deaths, all four were living in the region in which they were found.
Sometime between 3-7 months the three related victims were in a more northern climate than which they were found, and this is about the same time frame during which the middle child came to be in their company. I was unable to ascertain if the more northern climate during the 3-7 months that the three related victims were in is or could be the same one the middle child is from, since the time frames overlap. I had sent an email to the NH cold case unit for clarification but never heard back. These were the pieces I put together from the press conference, and since Agati had mentioned them, I figured it was okay to ask.

I should wake up before I comment lol Do you know if the presser has been transcribed?

Who is her sister?

She regularly checks FDLE because of her sister Debora Sue Lowe. She hasn't been online in a few days due to flooding in WV, will ask her about her post when I see her and if she entered them in NamUs back then

Rose-I'm not sure if the press conference has been transcribed. I've just watched three or four times, LOL. I will look around for it, though.

I have a confession. I have no idea how to find a transcript. I checked WMUR because it was their raw video but didn't see anything. However, if you start the raw video at the 21:00 mark, that is where I heard most of what I posted earlier.

Normally we ask who ever had the video. Not sure I'll be able to get back on my computer today to look

Interesting find, KaylaraOwl! Looks like Doris got her soc security number in PA between 1955 and 1957 and the SSA lists Doris dying in Nov 1974. In Dec of 2013 a church in Warminster PA had a mass dedicated to "Doris and Caren Wurst." The FL site that lists them missing has misspelled one of their names so not sure if it should be Moylen or Moylan. Even though Doris is far older than the estimates for the Allenstown woman, I'm very interested to hear what anyone finds out about them!
Oh found another mother and daughter who went missing in the 70's. Not sure what happened here because I can't find anything else on them.

I located Doris's relatives and will contact them this week to learn more about the disappearances and to give them NAMUS information so they can get Doris and Caren listed if they are indeed missing.

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but I am wondering if the Perry County PA Jane doe could be related to this case, i.e. Could she be the mother of the middle child? She is described as being Caucasian/ native on the following website, was wearing Turqouise jewelry, and was found in 1979, leaving the possibility that she could have been the mother of the middle child by timing. I'd like to see her DNA compared to the middle child. Is there a way to know whether that has been done? Do they compare the DNA of UIDs to other UIDs? I'm still confused about whether they are automatically run against each other in Codis. I also don't know if eAch of their DNA is in the same system.

For Doris to be listed as ruled out for a UP, she would have to be in NamUs to be compared, that's how it's done. For some reason her profile is not public, it's hidden from our view.

If she's missing in FL, give them the FL RSA contact info. They can see what's needed to get her profile online.

My partner did not enter them.

She is not in Namus. The listing mentions another case file. I'll find the uid and post it so you can see.

I knew I had seen the info in print somewhere, it's in the google drive doc. It shouldn't be too time consuming to type out for the next note.

Seeing the UP will help. What I mean (again not fully awake), she would have to be in NamUs to be compared, that's how it's done. For some reason her profile is not public, it's hidden from our view. I edited my post for anyone new seeing it.

Did you give him Amy Dobbs contact info?

I wonder if they did reverse parental DNA to get the father's DNA and then put it in codis. At least maybe we can identify the children.

  • #837
Nope, gave him Carrie Sutherland's- that's who the NAMUS woman who called me back said to refer him to.

No, they didn't have the ability to do that with the samples they were able to obtain and the technology available. This is per the press conference. Someone asked a similar question, about comparing the victims' DNA with the criminal databases and offender registry, but he said they didn't have strong enough DNA profiles for the victims to do that and the other databases have a different protocol. This is all paraphrased.

Sounds right. They've said roughly the same thing in other earlier press conferences and press releases.

Do you know who the NamUs woman was that told you Carrie? I had emailed Amy Dobbs the other day because they're listed as PA on the rule out, Amy said they were working on it. Sounds like they spoke to FL LE. Would be nice to see the profiles online.
