Ok, so the shoes...I wonder if they are exclusive to Payless? One of my boys has cars shoes and they don't look like that at all. I briefly checked websites for Target, K-Mart, Wal-Mart, and Sears and don't see any like that. Insatiable, your right it did say new arrival and the one comment was from the end of April. I used the store locator and there are at least 20 (got tired of counting) Payless stores within 50 miles of South Berwick (not to mention online sales and every other Payless in the US).

Something that stuck out was the shoe size of 12 1/2. My 5 year old is very tall and he wears a 1. This child, from what I can tell, looks so much smaller than that. I'm gonna go back and look at his measurements....my guy is at least 4 feet tall and about 50 pounds. Did his shoes fit him properly....what size were his other clothing articles...has anyone seen that reported? 5, 6, 4T, 3T...that would help me compare to my own kids and get a better mental picture.

Makes me wonder if the boys mother killed him and then herself? How far away was she?Odd that the time of death is very close to TP missing.

Why is the name Patrickin my head? Is a Patrick missing somewhere?

Patrick Alford went missing in NY 1/22/10? But there is no possible way this child is him.

Ok this is going to sound soooooooooo farfetched.... And it is. I dont think I should call anyone abt it but it keeps bugging me....

Ok. I knew someone a while back. Her son looked almost identical to the child in the photo. He is too old to be the child...

So I knew this lady, and she was a single mom to 3 kids. Two boys, 1 girl, different dads. I ended up having to call CPS at 4 yrs ago, because the boy admitted the kids were being abused. They went to the house and things were far worse than I ever thought. They found drugs, her bf had abused the kids, there were guns in the house, etc. She ran away from a mandatory drug rehab place. Her ex, the dad of the oldest boy, had hooked up with her a few times. This would have been abt 5 yrs ago because my youngest was just a baby. Anyway after they hooked up, he said she left. Last thing I heard she had moved to the east coast somewhere.

I mean what are the odds she had a baby after they hooked up, killed him and dumped him? But omg, the face is almost exact of what her oldest son looked like. The blue eyes, the blond hair, the thinness, the nose and ears...

Yeah its probably nothing......... But geeze the resemblance makes me wonder.

You never know. Do you have any mutual friends or someone that you could reconnect with and try to find out first? Maybe nothing, but it might be something...wouldn't hurt to call it in.

Where are the payless shoe stores( At the mall?) either way of where this little boy was found?

I know this is far fetched, but you all were talking about fibers on the blanket and then the payless shoes. I wonder if they could check the vaccums at any payless' in the area for fibers of that blanket or the little boys DNA some how. I mean I know there must be zillions in the vaccums, but maybe something would stand out. Since the shoes look new and most likely he would be trying them on where they were bought.

They are all around there...there are 24 stores within 50 miles of Berwick.
I think LE should contact payless and have them send his photo in an email to all of their stores....at least to all of the stores in the region. They were purchased recently so someone might remember seeing him. If they do maybe that store has security video or maybe there is security video somewhere around that store. Maybe the shoes were purchased with a check, credit or debit card? Who knows but at least it's something to go on.

My boys are 3.5 and wear a 9/10, depending. Some kids that are not tall have really big feet though, so it's hard to say. Buying a half a size up is pretty typical as well, to allow growing room.

Payless just had a BOGO 50% off sale as well, the officer saying the shoes didn't look as though they had even been worn a week. Could there be another child to wear the BOGO shoes? Most of us can't help but take them up on the deal when the offer. As we are all thinking, why buy a second pair for a kid that you don't plan on keeping around long?

I think he will be identified. He was taken care of while alive, new clothes/shoes, clean hair & nails etc etc...... He had to of gone to see a doctor at some point, hopefully that doctor will see his photo and recognize him.

I would tend to agree with you, it's possible that child has been in there.

They just said on NECN that there is still no word on this poor little boy's identity.

The Boston station interviewed a man that said his neighbor found the body and stated "HE" and not "SHE" was traumatized by doing so. The person that found the body was said to be going for a walk, perhaps a couple but it was a woman that actually did find the body directly.

Apparently tips are coming in now from FL. A lot of Navy in FL. The State of FL issues a plate that is very similar to the description of the witness to the truck.

Do they give military id's to children?
I'm an exmilitary wife and I had an id, but I didnt have kids at the time so I don't know if they give them to them. I'm sure they keep the id's in a database like the DMV would. Hopefully any military places around there are going though there ID photos.

Yes Sarah, I believe she ran up to the house and got her husband and then he came down to the end of the driveway.

My Sister in law is married to a navy man, and they live in VA, so i think there is a naval base close to there.

I can't stop thinking about this little guy and I'm hugging my 8 yr old boy extra since I heard about this. This sounds a bit nutty, but I envision that I'm hugging this little guy at the same time and sending him some mama's love because heaven knows this little boy could have used more of that in his life. Someone was supposed to protect him. I wish I could have.

According to the FL DMV, in 2010 there were about 17,000 of those plates registered. To qualify for registration, you have to current or former Navy. I can see a younger enlisted anxious to get those plates if stationed there.

TY, appreciate that info, now it makes sense. You prove the point that the media sometimes jumbles things a bit.
